Tintin's Parents...
"Hello, darkness, my old friend..."
Now, I'm having second guesses. For context, I had Tintin's (and Totor's) parents be Becassine:
And Herge's character, Jef The Plumber:
Together, the four made a happy, humble family. Unfortunately, when Tintin was just a small baby in 1914, WWI occurred. And when Germany invaded Belgium, the family had to flee. Becassine and Totor managed to make it to either France or Breton while Jef was taken prisoner by enemy soldiers. Yet, before being caught, he managed to hide baby Tintin under bushes where he'd be found (maybe by a young Haddock?????) and placed in an orphanage.
Yet, there's another dilemma. I don't know much about Becassine. I tried to find her books but there's barely anything in English. Not even the animated movie. Same could be said for Adele Blanc-Sec but that's a different story.
As a result, I'm not sure if this tale can fit in Becassine's lore.
I don't know if I should keep Jef and Becassine as Tintin and Totor's folks or come up with something else.
