top 5 beastclan familiars?
This just turned into 'things I care about, as a disabled Australian who also loves pirates & birds' xD
5th place goes to these Centaurs with dwarfism, because it's lovely to see some good body-type diversity! Shout-out to all the fat Maren, Centaurs, and Talonok too! <3
Also speaking of diversity, 4th place goes to these Dryads that I think are currently the only elderly Beastclan familiars? I'd love to see more age-diversity too, instead of all the familiars just being the same 20-something year olds with chiseled abs
The Sphinx are a weird Beastclan because half of their tooltips talk about them like they're on-par with Manticore and have a civilised society and everything, and then the other half of their tooltips describe them as though they're just pets... what IS the truth FR?? o-o Anyway, I need to give these ones third place, because as someone who uses mobility devices myself to get around, it made me very happy to see a familiar with similar needs <3
2nd place goes to these Talonok parrot-pirates that embody my entire lore and lair aesthetics perfectly. In fact, I've changed my mind about having one of those tiny gryphons as my avatar, if I was a FR mod I'd want one of these guys instead, they are perfect to me <3
And lastly, I wasn't going to put these guys in first place, but then I started writing about them and went '... yeah actually they need to be in first, I'm too passionate about this'
FR has barely any Australian representation, and even when they do give us some Aussie animals they always have to make them half-American, like the platypus familiar that's mostly beaver, or the cockatoo that's half-rabbit, or the sugar-glider that's half-hummingbird. I am forever holding out hope that one day they'll add a new coli-venue or something that's Australian-themed, like they did with Thunderhead, because Australia has thousands of unique and interesting species to play around with and FR just... doesn't?? At all?? ANYWAY! Give me more Sprangyroo!! You could do a lot of things with them! Give me arboreal tree-kangaroo Sprangyroo that live up in the Viridian Labyrinth, give me cute little quokka Sprangyroo, give me earthy rock-wallaby Sprangyroo that live up in the mountains in Dragonhome, give me bush-wallabies and pademelons and hare-wallabies and wallaroos!! Please!!
