Arbitrary Token of the Week: Beast (ALA)

This week’s arbitrary token is Parente’s 8/8 red, green, and white Beast creature token, as created by Jim Murray’s Godsire from Shards of Alara. This Beast is the only creature token to ever be more than two colors, and it is also the largest of all the Beast tokens. I selected this token for this week because @bizarre-trader gifted me one of them, and because I don’t actually own a Godsire, all I can do now is ogle its enormity.

I was looking for beast tokens since I am playing in a PTQ this weekend and run Beast Within and out of curiosity looked up all the different versions of beast tokens.

My favorite is the one from the duel deck.

He looks so bad ass like "Ah finally my true form revealed" as he leaves behind the husk that used to be his boring old human body.

Then there is the original beast within token

Super carnal and just oozing with Phyrexian goodness.

Then there's the eventide pig beast.

Gnarly tusks and teeth he is also quite intimidating

And then there's there's the core set tokens....

Which is basically a yak. A cow. It can moo at you. Whenever I see this I think of the Liz Nugent playmat with the baby Thragtusk that is so cute
