Chapter 1 - The Invitation
It was a quiet morning in that messy living room. Thad had been stuck on the couch since the night before, with eyes stuck on his phone while the TV was on. The remote control was loose in one hand, while the other was scrolling endlessly on TikTok. Across the room, his father, the lawyer Richard Harrington, was staring at his son as he adjusted the tie at his collar. Every small part of Richard was perfectly in order. His suit, his hair and posture. The full opposite of the mess that his son was. But today he had no time of stressing over it, he already had a plan.
"Thaddeus," Richardâs voice broke through the room, in an authoritative tone that he wasnât used to. "Get up. Weâre leaving."
Thad blinked, dropping the remote. He looked up slowly, confused and irritated. He hated being called by his full name. Thatâs an old man name.
"What? Where?" His voice had that annoying lazy tone, and his face clearly showed that he hadnât slept well in days.
"Youâre coming with me on a work trip," Richard replied, standing in front of his son. "Iâm tired of you wasting your time here doing nothing."
Thad yawned, dropping his phone on the couch.
"A work trip? Seriously, Dad? Whatâs the point?."
Richard narrowed his eyes.
"Youâre going because youâre doing nothing with your life. Do you really think that sitting around here, playing video games and wasting your days is going to help you? You need structure. Responsibility. Iâm giving you a chance to change that and you will take it. Plus, it will clear your head and maybe you wonât be so moody all the time.â
"Iâm fine here." Thad rolled his eyes.
Richardâs face hardened. "Youâre nineteen, Thad, but you act like youâre twelve. You have potential, but youâre wasting it."
"Iâm not wasting anything, Iâm just... figuring things out."
Richardâs frustration grew. He took a step forward. His voice was low but filled with an underlying threat.
"Youâre not figuring anything out. Youâre lazy and stagnating."
Thad stared at his father, but he found no escape.
"Fine," he muttered. "Iâll go."
Richard didnât look pleased but his expression softened, just slightly.
"Good. Iâll book the flight. Pack your bags."
Later, Thad was in his room throwing a few clothes into his bag. It wasnât much, just a pair of jeans, a hoodie and a few t-shirts. The trip would be short and he wasnât planning on leaving the hotel anyway.
His father had already prepared a suitcase filled with neatly pressed suits, loafers, ties and shirts of a remarkable quality. He didnât need more than formal clothes because he also wasnât going anywhere else other than work, and he was fine with sleeping in underwear to save more space in the suitcase.
"Ready?" he asked as his son went down the stairs. Thad grunted in response, then maintained a softer face. He wasnât going to let his father have the satisfaction of knowing how much he hated all of this.
The tension between them increased as they drove to the airport. Richard focused on the road, with impeccable posture, perfectly combed hairstyle and the most overwhelming scent of cologne. Thad was annoyed. Was it really necessary for his dad to wear a full suit just for the flight? He tried to contain his frustration as they approached the airport.
Chapter 2 - A New Wardrobe
The flight was long and tedious, and by the time they arrived at their destination, Thad was already stressed. He had barely slept, and the annoyance of being stuck in this trip without purpose made him angrier.
"Did you get your baggage?" the father asked.
Thadâs eyes widened as he looked back at the luggage area. "What? No, itâs not here.â
Richard sighed, shaking his head.
âFantastic. Now weâll have to deal with one more thing.â
They spent the next hour talking to staff and looking everywhere, but Thadâs bags were nowhere to be found.
Richard gave him a pointed look.
âYou know what? We donât have time to worry. You can borrow my clothes. I didnât pack much either, just enough for four days, but it wonât take long until you get your stuff back."
"Iâm not wearing your stuff, Dad."
"Itâs not ideal, but itâs better than nothing. Itâs just for a few time."
When they arrived at the hotel, Thad began to go through his fatherâs bag. The clothes were neatly folded, definitely too formal for Thad, and the size difference didnât help either. His father was taller, broader, a gym addict with shoulders bigger than his head and a wide strong back. Everything would be oversized on him and he would look ridiculous.
"Great," Thad sighed as he picked a black dress shirt and trousers. The sleeves hung loosely, too long for his slim arms, and the fabric felt strange against his skin, too sharp for his usual style. Richard, noticing his sonâs discomfort, smiled slightly.
"Youâre looking fine, son.â
"Fine? I look like Iâm swimming in these."
Richardâs voice softened, a hint of encouragement in it.
âWhy donât you try the full suit? Itâll be colder tonight and I have nothing else for this weather. You might be more comfortable."
Thad hesitated, then reluctantly agreed on putting on the jacket. It was baggy and smelled like cologne. Richard even managed to convince his son to wear a tie, regardless of his complaints, to make him fully get into the look. Despite how loose it felt, there was something about it that seemed different to Thad.
As the evening got colder, Thad walked around the hotel, getting used to the weight of the suit jacket hanging off his shoulders. It wasnât so easy to walk in those bigger loafers. Something about it gave him a weird feeling, something he couldnât put in words.
"How do you feel?" Richard asked, watching him from the doorway.
"I donât know, kind of... comfortable, actually."
"I told you." Richard smiled knowingly. âYouâre gonna enjoy it.â
Thad grunted, but deep down, something inside him shifted. There was a part of him that didnât want to take the suit off. It wasnât like the usual clothes he wore, the suit had some structure regardless of the bigger size. It was weird to see himself without a clearly skinny body.
The next morning, after a long cold night, Thad quickly got himself into the same suit after showering. He told himself it was just because it was cold and he didnât have any other options, but he really wanted to wear it again. Richard glanced at him as he walked out of the hotel room.
"There you go. Looking sharp."
Thad softly smiled this time instead of his usual bored expressions. It wasnât so bad, after all.
The next day, Thadâs reflection in the mirror caught him off guard. The dark suit was still loose around his lean frame, but it felt different now. The fabric no longer seemed so uncomfortable, the jacket looks more right on his shoulders and the pants, though a bit baggy, weâre fitting better around his legs. He looked sharp, bigger. He didnât thought much, mightâve been just the type of cut. He felt a bit of pride as he adjusted the collar, it felt like he was wearing something important.
âAlright, Iâll admit it,â he muttered to himself, looking at his reflection once more. âThis doesnât feel so bad.â But still, a little rebellion remained inside of him. âNo,â he thought, shaking his head. âIâm not going to let Dad know Iâm starting to enjoy this or heâll never care to get my stuff back.â He really wouldnât show his father the change in his mindset.
As Thad walked outside, he found his father preparing for his own work day. Richard stood in front of the large mirror in the hallway, adjusting his tie with precision. His navy blue suit was perfectly tailored to fit his broad frame, and Thad envied the look a little. Might be good to be so big. He remembered how his father always tried to get him into working out, but all he wanted to do was rot on couch instead of stepping foot in a gym. He felt a bitter sadness, how big would he be if he had accepted the invitation right in the first time? He couldnât help but admire the way Richard effortlessly put the finishing touches on his outfit. The sharp lines of his suit, the careful way he tied his tie, it was almost mesmerizing. Something he didnât have.
âYou look... good,â Thad said, not hiding well the hint of sadness and self deprecation. Richard glanced at him and smirked, clearly pleased.
âThank you. Itâs important to get every detail right.â He adjusted his cufflinks one last time. âMaybe you can try this one tomorrow. Itâs a good fit.â
Thadâs quickly looked away, unable to meet his fatherâs gaze.
âYeah, whatever,â he muttered, turning to walk away. He imagined himself in that suit, having that tie around his neck and those fancy loafers. He got used to walking on his fatherâs bigger shoes, almost if his feet had grown to fit triem. He didnât want to admit it, but his fatherâs suit had ignited something in him, an appreciation for the detail, the formality and the manliness. Thad was beginning to see why his father cared so much about dressing like that.
The trip was lasting too long. What was supposed to be a brief four-day trip had turned into a much longer stay, and he still hadnât got any answer about where was his baggage.
âIâm getting tired of this,â Thad complained, staring into the emptying suitcase. They were running out of clothes. âIâm not wearing your stuff again, Dad.â
âWe donât have much choice. The baggage still hasnât arrived. Weâll have to make it work, son.â
âItâs like Iâm losing myself in this.â
Richard sighed, unbothered. Thad got dressed in the exact same fit Richard had worn the night before, immediately hit by the explosion of the body odour of a busy lawyer mixed with pricey cologne. It was either this or nothing. Smell of a man, he guessed, annoyed by the musk.
As he looked at himself in the mirror, his stomach tightened. Every day of that trip had felt like a year, and he really looked as if heâs been aging a year every day. His face looked sharper, more defined and less soft. He could even see a few lines on his forehead and around his mouth. Couldâve been just the stress, he thought.
âYou look good,â Richard said as he walked into the room, eyeing his son up and down, in approval. Neither of them noticed that Thad didnât have to look up to see his fatherâs face anymore. The young man didnât say anything. There was a strange discomfort in knowing his father saw him like that, so formal and grown-up. He was starting to look like what his father always wanted him to be. âYouâre dressing like a man now, Thaddeus. Maybe thatâs what youâve needed all along.â
Thad wanted to complain but as he glanced down at the suit, then back at his father, he felt a sense of pride. He was able to share a little of his fatherâs style and presence, he was actually lucky for that.
âI guess... I could get used to dressing like this every day just like you.â his voice came out deeper than he was used to.
âYou know, when we get back, Iâll take you to get your first suit.â Richard gently tapped his sonâs shoulder, and went closer to adjust his tie. Thad felt a rush of excitement, then paused. Maybe modern suits didnât look as appealing as his fatherâs older ones, straight from the 80s and 90s, with better tailoring and quality.
âI think Iâd prefer something more like yours, actually. This vintage look. Yours have more character.â he smiled by hearing his new voice, and trying to replicate his fatherâs tone.
Richardâs smile deepened, never expecting his son to be this interested.
âVintage, huh? Well, youâll have to grow into them, then. Maybe I can sign you up for gym and youâll catch up on the size. A man like you needs some mass to feel truly confident.â
Thad chuckled. A man. He couldnât remember the last time someone had said that about him. His excitement grew stronger, he barely noticed the itching up his lips as hair was starting to grow for the first time.
That night, as he sat in the hotel room, Thad realized that heâd got so used to wearing the suits, to stepping into his fatherâs shoes, literally and metaphorically. It wasnât just about the clothes, but how closer to his father he had got. He felt like he was slowly becoming him, and the idea that once felt terrifying now was his goal. To look like Richard. To had that class, confidence, strength and refinement. To be like Richard in every way. He smiles softly, he was on the way to reach his goal. As he glanced at his reflection, something caught his attention. He was taller. The angles of his face seemed rougher, more mature, and he noticed the shadow of facial hair. It was far from the full, thick beard his father had, but it was there. Richard noticed too, though neither of them commented on it.
In the span of a few days, Thadâs body had shifted. Now he was just as tall as his father, his body was fuller, heavier and more defined. They werenât the most drastic changes, but it was noticeable. When he looked on the mirror, the word man sounded less foreign to him, as he saw the reflection of a man in his mid 20s instead of his normal 19-years-old self.
Chapter 5 - Into the Suit
Thad could feel the unexplainable transformations continuing, subtly but undeniable, as the days passed. The trip now had lasted two full weeks, and Thad was tired of staying inside the hotel everyday. One morning, as they sat down for breakfast, Richard looked over at Thad, who had a bored and sad glance. His moustache was fuller now, and though it was still sparse, it was undeniably there, just like the stubble along his squaring jawline.
âAlright, son. Iâve been thinking.â Richard leaned closer. âI see youâre tired of being inside, so Iâve got an idea. You can come with me to work today. You can be my assistant, helping with calls, papers, and keeping up with the clients. Since itâs really bothering you that you donât have your bags yet, Iâll pay you for your time, of course. You can make your own money and buy whatever you need in our stay. What you think?â
âYes!â Thad blinked with surprise and excitement. He hadnât expected this.
âI thought you wouldnât like the idea,â Richard chuckled, reading his sonâs face.
âItâs⌠just for the money, okay?â
Richard nodded. âGood. Letâs get you ready, then.â
Richard took him to his bedroom, looking for the best attire for his sonâs first day. The suit Richard chose for Thad was a deep charcoal with heavy fabric, with a tie that was more sophisticated than the ones Thad had worn the previous days. It was his fatherâs most expensive suit, one Thad never dared to wear during their rotation. As Richard adjusted the collar of his sonâs shirt, Thad glanced at himself in the mirror again. He looked handsome in the suit. Even though heâs been wearing those for days, being dressed by his father in such a valued outfit felt too personal, like a rite of passage.
âYou look like a lawyer,â Richard said, stepping back.
âYeah,â Thad replied, straightening his tie. He never ever considered being a lawyer, but now the idea felt right. Maybe thatâs the final piece he needed for truly becoming like his dad. âI do.â
They left for the office and Thad felt a strong anticipation inside him. It was nice to finally be out of the hotel, and even nicer to getting the chance to be a different person. He would be Richard for a day. The building was full of hot men in fancy formal clothes rushing from one side to another, and Thad felt as if he was part of that rhythm now. Just like his father was. People didnât look at him as a boy anymore. No one knew his name, but they all saw was a man in a suit.
At the office, everything moved fast, and Thad felt his head spin as Richard led him from room to room. He took notes, filed papers, made calls and tried to keep up with the overwhelming world of law. Even thought it seemed hard, new knowledge was quickly getting inside his mind. Contracts, terms, negotiations, all were like a second language he was learning too fast. Thad could feel it flowing through him, becoming almost instinctual. It wasnât just about the suits anymore. It was the role he was stepping into. A professional, a man who knew things. He could feel it in his bones, and somehow, he couldnât imagine doing anything else.
Days passed, and Thad found himself continuing to follow his father to work, more and more comfortable in his role. The work got less hard with each passing hour and, by the end of the week, he was handling tasks without hesitation.
One afternoon, as they sat down for a lunch break, Thad saw a glimpse of himself reflected in the glass of the office window. The reflection was different. The lines of his face had changed, they were deeper and more mature. His stubble had thickened into a full beard, his hairline had receded slightly, and his growing muscles had started to fill out his clothes. The boyishness and youthfulness from just a few days ago were fading. He was finally older and stronger, no longer the scrawny guy in borrowed clothes. He was a man in his own right and, without even realizing it, he started introducing himself as Thaddeus, his full name, the name he once despised.
âYouâre Thaddeus, right?â one of the assistants had asked, shaking his hand firmly.
âYeah. Thaddeus Harrington.â the sound of it felt perfectly right. His body was different, he could feel the muscles in his chest and arms growing every day, his body hair thickening in a dense carpet of fur, his frame becoming bulkier and his voice getting deeper. He was no longer that 19-year-old kid. He wasnât even in early 20s anymore, he looked like a 30 years old man, someone who had lived a life, worked for his place, and made himself the best man he could become. The nickname Thad would never feel right again. He was Thaddeus now.
âMr. Harrington, I have the documents you requested.â the assistant handed him a small pile of papers.
Thaddeus blinked. For a split second, his mind gained some clarity. Mr. Harrington? That was his father! What was he even doing there? Before he could thing further, something in his brain got adjusted.
He exhaled slowly. Of course, he was Mr. Harrington. A respected lawyer, a man of confidence and discipline. The title felt right, as if it had always been his. Mr. Harrington took the documents from the assistantâs hands, flipping through them. Instinct guided him so he knew exactly what to look for. Without hesitation, he smiled.
âThank you so much. Send these to my office.â His voice, deeper, now sounded more aged, like the voice of a man who commanded a courtroom. He adjusted his tie and turned to his father. Richard gave him an approving smirk, but Thaddeus felt like nothing out of the normal had happened. As if he had always been this man.
The morning sunlight was slowly invading the bathroom and the city was already awake outside, with fast cars and thousands of people in a rush. But for Mr. Thaddeus Harrington, there was no rush. He glanced at the clock. It was early, but as early as he had been waking up in that trip. It was finally their last day, with a successful concluded case, more privilege to the Harrington name and more money on their bank accounts. He smiled and he stretched his big hairy body, with a sense of satisfaction and pride.
During his sleep, his body had finished the final stages of the shift. The youth was gone, replaced by the strong and solid muscles of a man. His chest was so broader, his shoulders so big and wide. His neck was thicker than his face. His beard had grown bigger overnight, he felt a hit of arousal growing as he ran his fingers through. He couldn't remember the last time he'd felt so complete.
He rubbed his eyes as he stood up from the bed and walked towards the bathroom to shower and get his first well deserved orgasm as Mr. Thaddeus Harrington. His morning wood was pulsating and his balls were heavy and big. It was going to be fun. He licked his cum and spread it around his chest, enjoying every second of it. He showered, getting hard again by spreading the soap on his thick fur to wash away the previous load. The water fell on his balding spot, spreading across his face and being absorbed by his beard. Such a delicious feeling.
Mr. Harrington got dressed for the day, with a suit perfectly tailored to his larger and muscular body. Luckily he and the other Mr. Harrington were the same size and body type, so even Richardâs more carefully tailored suits would fit him just perfectly. The reflection in the mirror stared back at him in excitement, no longer the awkward young man who had first tried on his fatherâs clothes.
As he finished getting dressed, Thaddeus went to the bathroom to check his hair. His hairline had receded more since yesterday but it didn't bother him. It made him look older, more distinguished. The thinning hair actually fit him even better than his previous dense haired scalp, accentuating the maturity of his face. He ran a hand through his hair, checking how it sat on his head. It was a good look, he felt older than he was a few weeks ago and it was such a welcoming feeling. There was no more hesitation or uncertainty, he was Thaddeus now. Not Thad, not a lazy useless guy with no purpose in life.
In the other room, Richard was already up, buttoning his white shirt around his muscular chest.
âGuess what? The company just called. They said they found your suitcases.â he said as he stand in the mirror near Thaddeus, both adjusting their ties.
âOn our last day? Better than nothing, I guess.â
âDonât raise your expectations, they werenât even yours.â Richard chucked.
âThey looked exactly like yours, in every way. But they were filled with someone elseâs clothes. A bunch of hoodies and tees.â
âDefinitely not mine, then.â Thaddeus sighed in disappointment. âLooking at the good side of it, thereâs probably a boring weak dude out there that got my stuff by mistake. Maybe it has made a man out of him. If yes, Iâll let him keep it.â
Richard laughed and looked proudly at Thaddeus. His son looked just like him, they were nearly identical in so many ways. His suit fit perfectly around his sonâs body, their beards matched. Their frames were now indistinguishable, same muscular build, same tall stature, same confidence. Even their voices had the same deep tone. Thaddeus now stood as a man in his early 30s, closer to his fatherâs 42 years of age.
After breakfast, they both got ready for the flight back home. Richard looked at Thaddeus one more time, noticing how his son stood at the door, waiting for him to leave. He saw him as an equal rather than a fatherâs authority and hierarchy. Now Thaddeus was his fellow lawyer colleague, his friend. His brother. Yeah, brother feels more right. How could those two men even be father and on with such a small age difference? He softly smiled, and both their memories of being only child were replaced by their life as brothers.
Chapter 7 - Brothers in Law
Their office smelled like leather, wood, cologne and old books, a scent that was as familiar to Thaddeus as the expensive fabric of his clothes. He sat behind his desk reviewing a case file, and his thick fingers were running through his facial hair. Across from him, Richard was doing the same in concentration. They had worked like this for years, side by side, partners in law. Thaddeus exhaled slowly, feeling the stretch of his broad shoulders under his linen shirt.
âItâs a messy case, isnât it?â he said, flipping a page.
âYou think so? You wouldâve understood it well if you werenât so damn busy with this beard of yours. And itâs even getting grey before mine.â
Thaddeus ran his hand through his thick beard again, which now had grey hairs in it.
âCanât help it,â he smiled. âLooking older suits me.â
Thaddeus did look older, older than his 33 years of age, older than Richardâs 42. His receding hairline, the deep lines on his face and the facial hair made him look like the older brother. And he loved it. Thaddeus leaned back again and stretched. âHard to believe weâve been at this for so long.â
Richard glanced at him. âWhatâs got you thinking that?â
âJust⌠thinking about how it all started. Weâve come a long way.â
âAll thanks to me.â Richard smiled, looking at his brother with pride.
Many years ago, Richardâs wife had left him, tired of competing with his passion for fitness and self-improvement. So he decided to take his younger brother in to shape him into a better man. Thaddeus could barely remember a time when he wasnât like this, when he wasnât built like a tank. He was 19 or 20, he couldnât remember, when Richard gave him a new focus in life. He studied law, learned how to dress and now shared an office with his brother. Their new past had settled into their minds deeply, replacing e everything they used to know. They were always brothers. There was no other version of events. There had never been. Just two brothers, bonded by time, ambition and the undeniable truth of who they were.
