Here's some poorly drawn concept art for the new au I'm working on!!! I'm super excited for it!
It's a bit like a Jack And The Giant Beanstalk au/canon fusion, where Camelot is inhabited by giants. And the only way Merlin can survive is by wearng a magic scarf that can turn him into a giant as well - but only for 5 hours at a time. So now Merlin has to save Arthur's life from various witches and assassins without anyone figuring out he's actually 4 inches tall.
...so I guess it's nothing like Jack And The Giant Beanstalk, then, but you get the idea.
This will be by far my most ambitious fanfic project to date, because I'll be doing a canon-divergent retelling of the full series (although I might cut season 5 out of preference). Hopefully I'm not biting off more than I can chew!
As Missing Number Nine is just chapters away from ending, I intend to start writing and posting this as my main wip soon. So definitely keep your feelers out for my upcoming fic "Beanstalks (Or Lack Thereof)"!
