Canonically mortal characters go to Limbo which seems to be a personal purgatory where very little changes and time passes faster. I imagine immortal characters like Ghostbur get sent to a personal safe haven where there’s always something new and exciting happening and time passes much more slowly.

The dozens of times Ranboo asks Tubbo if he’s okay with the ‘friendly competition’ and Tubbo assured him that he is and the one time Tubbo asks Ranboo if he’s okay and Ranboo doesn’t really answer….
