For almost a year now, this blog has taken the stance of "neutral" on shipcourse, claiming itself to be uninvolved and apathetic to the topic.
Regardless of whether you think that someone CAN be neutral on such a thing, this has technically been a lie.
For the longer duration of our time on the internet, we have actually been proship. We were previously very open about it online, but when we started to enter specifically the Fake Mikes portion of fandom in the summer of 2025, we stopped openly using the label in order to fit into the space without risk of harassment. And it worked! We built and kept up fairly large spaces.
We never clarified this change, either, so many have no idea this ever happened.
We understand if anyone feels betrayed by this. We understand if people are hurt by the longterm lie, and we especially understand if people want to cut contact with us.
After this is posted, the blog will likely be changed to be much more openly proship. No more lies. No more hiding. Nobody deserves to have this suddenly dropped on them, and we apologize sincerely.
The Battat Enjoyers spaces will have likely been transferred to a different owner by the time this post is made. Our other, smaller servers may also be deleted.
A bit of storytelling. Being openly proship has never been easy for us. Last year, we were outed as proship in an IRL friend group and cast out from it without any warning by one person who decided to speak for everyone. Only one of our friends from that time really stuck around with us. We don't want to repeat this. We want to open up ourselves.
So, please. Don't message us or reach out or send us an ask if you're only going to try and change our stances. It won't do anything. We have made this choice, we have applied it to our own morals, and it is right for us. Just block us if you won't stand for the things we stand for.
The guilt for lying has haunted us constantly, and a statement needed to be made before we broke down because of it.
Now, you may be wondering what will become of this blog, so I'll give a rundown.
We won't immediately start posting content that is considered darkship. It's fairly likely that we'll use a sideblog for those types of posts, or even keep to only sharing it in smaller and less public communities.
We will try to remove ourselves from as many antiship spaces that we are aware we're in.
We will be more open about being friends with other proshippers.
We are pro-para and support our paraphile friends having healthy outlets in fiction.
Thank you for reading, and, hopefully, understanding. To everyone who leaves, I hope you keep finding joy in the spaces we had to abandon. Our friendship meant a lot to us regardless. Most importantly, do what makes you comfortable.

My favorite fandom worlds are imploding on their own people, and it’s fucking ridiculous.
1) Lockwood and Co.
I hate to point this out, but I’m gonna anyway. There is no Locklyle WRITTEN ship in the books. There is an implied ship. The author confirmed that it was intentionally implied. But it wasn’t written. So you know what? There is NO canon ship.
You know what that means? People can ship whomever the fuck they want without “breaking canon”. If you write Locklyle, fine. But that makes you no better than people who are enjoying other ships. And even then, it’s a fandom. It’s imaginary shit. The way to keep the fandom alive and thrive is to NOT PUBLICALLY CASTIGATE AND PUT DOWN other shippers and their ideas, works, or conversations. If you do that, it’s YOU who is poisoning the fandom.
2) Stray Kids
Holy fuck, people! Can’t we all just be adults?
a) Do not attack people who interact with our boys in a professional capacity. It’s not helpful to the group to give them a reputation for having an out of control fanbase. It could cause their opportunities become limited just because others are scared that Stay may get offended by something.
b) If you don’t want to support the new song, don’t. Don’t buy it. Don’t stream it. Don’t get it off of a secondary site just because you can listen without supporting the collaboration.
DO keep your choices to yourself. Your choices are not supposed to apply to other Stay. We can make our own decisions. Other Stay are not lesser, wrong, unethical, Zionists, pro-genecide or any other thing you want to call them. They are simply supporting SKZ their own chosen way.
In closing, this is simple. Do what you want for yourself. Stop thinking your decision has any bearing on other people. Your ego is showing. You aren’t that fucking special. Check yourself.
