If you don't think there's anything in store for Gemma and Mark in the aftermath of the finale I don't know what to tell you when it's clearly brimming with so much potential: the angst! the hurt and the comfort! the PTSD! the 'life stopped when I became a prisoner', the 'life stopped when they told me you were dead', the 'I ruined myself over you', the 'regaining your own personhood while being legally dead', the 'by finding you I am starting to find myself again', the 'we cannot go back to how we were before and that's alright', the 'we are broken in possibly irreparable ways', the 'I will pick up the pieces of you', the "I still choose you despite what we've been through", the 'relearning how to live', the 'I am still grieving even though you're right here', the 'finding new ways to be and allowing yourself to just be' and everything in between, the coming to terms with it all

People are coping differently, probably based on their upbringing, circumstances, environment, or whatever the influence is. People soothe the pain differently. I wish we were more thoughtful and mindful before we judge somebody on how they cope with their pain. You don't know how much that little love and kindness might be what that person needs the most. Because at the end of the day, we all want to love and be loved, don't we?
