((...OK, But be warned this is a snippet of what I wanted to write for my fredxbeej fic))
“What yer sayin’ isn’t making much sense, Freddie.” Beetlejuice was watching the poltergheist turned imaginary friend walked briskly up and down the small stretch hallway in the Roadhouse. “I mean’ I know what it SOUNDS like, but I thought yer whole deal was that ya couldn’t...ya know...gear up that way.”
“I’m not a ruddy CAR, Beej! GOD. It’s like you haven’t even been listening to a blimin’ thing I say--”
Beetlejuice rollded his eyes and popped into view in front of Fred. “Stop. For fucks sake just...STOP. Look what you’ve done to my floor!”
Fred looked down and saw the trench he’d walked into the Roadhouse’s black and white tiles. Pouting, the IF sank to his knees and looked defeated. “I...didn’t think I could feel that way about anyone...that...anyone would like me like that...GOD-” He gagged suddenly, his face screwed up in disgust. “How UTTERLY revolting...’liking’ someone?! ME? Drop Dead Fred?!”
Beetlejuice grimmaced and stood there looking at the spirit he’d spent so long with he’d begun to forget why they were friends at all. The ginger had been bemoaning his blossoming feelings for hours now and the way it was knawing away at something cold and forgotten inside the ghost with the most was...confusing.
Beetlejuice did NOT like being confused. He LIKED being in control of the situation. He LIKED getting something out of any transaction.
How could he stand to gain something from Freddie boy’s lack of experience with things and distract himself from the growing unease in the pit of his gut?
The ghost’s green fanged mouth stretched into a filthy grin.
“How’s about I show you what to do, eh Freddie?”
