zoomester studyblr challenge - days 1 & 2
i decided to participate in the zoomester studyblr challenge!! i will most likely only post every few days, so i’ll combine the days together :)
day 1 - introduce yourself! what’s some basic info you’d like to share about yourself? also! what are you studying? (if you’re in college, what’s your major? which semester are you in?)
i’m emily and im 18 years old! i’m a health science student in my final semester of my cégep degree (cégep is the type of schooling we have here in quebec between secondary school and university!). next year, i’ll hopefully be doing a joint major in biology & mathematics at university! i also absolutely want to do a minor, but i have such varied interests that i can’t narrow it down at the moment. some of my options include: natural history, philosophy/ethics, earth and planetary science, geology, and spanish! some of my hobbies are reading, journaling, writing letters, knitting and caring for my cat watson and my many plants :)
day 2 - if you’ve chosen a major, why did you decide on it? if you’re in any other grade, what field/major interests you the most?
i decided to study health sciences for my cégep degree because i have a strong interest in biology and that is the program that allows me to do the most of it! for my university major, i decided on biology & mathematics because i’ve always been quite good at math and i really enjoy it. it also will allow me to do more career-wise than just having a bio degree, so i figured it would be a wise choice!Â

day 3- have you done a challenge before? if so, how was it? if not, what are you expecting to get out of this experience?
i’ve been meaning to do a challenge before, but i never actually got to it! with this challenge, i’m mainly hoping to have a fun time and get to know a few more people on here :) after this challenge, i also hope to eventually do a language learning one on my langblr (emlinguistic)
day 4- for my researching fellows, what are you researching on? if you’re not currently researching, what is the topic within your field that you’re most passionate about?
not currently researching, but i was supposed to be doing some food industry research this summer (won’t be able to though bc of covid :/) within my field, i’m most interested in ecosystem/conservation biology!
