As a gift to themselves, they were going to prove that the strange creatures? Definitely were getting easier to interact with. Less of the ingrained teachings making their skin crawl at the mere thought and the anxiety wasn’t as bad as it used to be. 

Still bad, but that was probably because interacting with just about anyone was pretty scary. 

They at least remembered enough from back them to take a guess at how this was probably going to be construed.  Humans weren’t supposed to see the things in between the cracks for a reason, it was why hunters were so effective. None ever expected them to be able to perceive oddities from high influence over the years, like a building having one too many doors. 

Or... Alex was going to assume that was a door and not just a poorly hidden hole in the wall. They weren’t as good at this as their sister was for a reason.

He narrows his gaze, one leg crossed over the other. It feels like a trick, like some instance of REVENGE for his own bout of cheekiness. But, he just tilts his chin a bit in defiance and speaks his answer with as much confidence as he usually held.

* .  ♡             “ is that so ? ”  came her question.  eyes hadn’t opened to look at the shadow entity  ,  but she could tell that he was lingering in the corner of her room.  she had gotten used to waking up in the middle of the night and seeing badru’s eyes looking her way from any part of her room.  it had scared the shit out of her early on but that feeling had slowly started to fade and now it was welcomed.  like he was looking out for her  -  watching over her as she slept.  god only knows what night terrors he’s witnessed her have.
