Just had silly thought
Danny needs to come to Paris to teach moatif how to control her intangibility
😂
That would be funny but it's sadly not a cross-over.

In the sandboy chapter, how would Tikki react if adrien describes maotifs fear as her disappearing, considering she already made a link between little marinette and moatif with the pen earlier?
Tikki definitely sees similarities between the two, especially learning that Maotif sews, but Tikki is very much under the impression that Marinette is dead. So to her, at most, she'll think when the wish rewound time it went to someone with similar traits as Marinette. The thing about Maotif disappearing is obscure to them, however, they're just confused. Tikki does know the wording of the wish, but the magic of the wish is so absolute, and she didn't see the result like Plagg did, that she doesn't think there's any chance Marinette could be alive (or rather, poofed from existence/memory and [information removed because spoilers]). Tikki's right, in a way. The magic of the wish is absolute, and Marinette's lucky that Chloe's whole magic supply was burned up and the wish stopped before it got worse (the wish doesn't like that).
Tikki is refusing to see Maotif in a positive light, and as such, while she makes these parallels, she doesn't want to think it true, even when all the signs are there.
Don't worry. Tikki's opinion will start to change soon. (Adrien's opinion has shifted to more annoyed-neutral, and it will take a while to get out of there. As Adrien is right now in the story, he's stagnated. Something drastic will happen, and Adrien will eventually change.
I swear, this story isn't supposed to be Adrien salt.)
TLDR: Tikki definitely sees the similarities between Marinette and Maotif, but to her Marinette died, and only has the ring and a few traits in common with Maotif. Why Maotif disappearing is her worst nightmare is just a mystery.
"Will Maotif ever be friends with Misterbug? Probably not."
That's lame, so there isn't even gonna be a satisfying conclusion to their conflict?
What I meant was more so they're not likely to just randomly hang out or anything. Once stuff happens and Misterbug's character arc properly starts they'll get along more, but they aren't gonna be close friends. Moreso the relationship of like, a coworker.
I also don't have everything figured out, so this may be subject to change. And you guys don't even know the extent of Mari's curse and how it'll affect her (or if it can be undone before it's too late).

Why does this types of AU fic always seem to have Ladybug!Adrien and Chat Noir!Marinette hating each other and eveybody just being an asshole to Ladybug!Adrien?
It's more so (in this fic at least) from the misconception that whoever uses the black cat ring is evil. This led to Pegasus attacking Maotif, and Misterbug sided with Pegasus, forming the sides.
But it's not outright hate (at least from the kids' perspectives. Some adults hate Misterbug). Maotif is mostly just neutral on Misterbug and just likes messing with him, whilst Misterbug wants to hate her but she's too good at her job to do so. Maotif isn't close to him, but they work together to a degree.
As for most of the rest of Paris, they mostly just prefer Maotif. She was there first, and Misterbug's partner attacked her. A lot of people by this point would accept Misterbug's help, though they prefer Maotif. However, Pegasus gets a lot of hate because he attacked Maotif initially, and wasn't a hero long enough for people to be more neutral. This'll be resolved eventually.
For this type of fic, it honestly just depends on the starting place. Some people probably take it too far, but in this fic, it's mostly just teens who don't exactly get along and don't know each other well enough. Will Maotif ever be friends with Misterbug? Probably not. But she doesn't hate him, and Misterbug struggles to think she's evil.
Honestly, they're just kinda at an impasse.

I just thought, is one of the reasons that adrien was homeschooled in your au was so Emilie knew the curriculum so she could pass it on and teach to Moatif? Of course there would be more but I think that one would be funny.
...well that's a good idea that I'll keep in mind. The real reason is that Gabriel didn't want to let Adrien out, and Emilie struggled to convince her husband (Gabriel's... not the best husband in the world).
