i know i said id only reveal the release date a few days before release, but with everything ive done so far, i know its going to be June 30, so i might as well tell you right now. xD

im so close to the end and im sooo happy and proud. so far we have 120k words but im still spending my days and nights writing! :3

this shift is A LOT about yapping with your LIs and ofc discovering a bit more of the plot. you can imagine that if i want to kill a character in later shifts, i need you to get attached to them first.😸

so before the release, heres a little poll for you.

im just curious to see which character is your favorite right now. then one week after Shift 3 releases ill make the exact same poll again to see how much the results have changed.💕

hey everyone! as u know some routes are still missing in Shift 3, but no worries! ill finally start writing the Neutral Routes soon! (Amelia, Drunk Route, and Lane's Route #2 that leads into the Neutral Route.)

i also read your asks and decided to include more content for the boys' routes such as:

- adding more scenes with BB's coworkers at the garage! im thinking about more little events so u can get to know his coworkers better, while also getting more scenes with BB himself.

- adding MC customization! this would change how MC reacts to racist/xenophobic remarks, but also things like when Lane talks about blonde women or makes fun of ginger guys. im thinking about adding skin tones, hair colors and possibly chest size too? well see xD

- adding more opportunities for MC to call Lane out. i still dont want the game to constantly stop for moral lectures because i assume everyone already knows those things arent okay, but youre right that MC should acknowledge them more often.

- for Lane's love branch, when u can choose the option "tell him to come for you" at his apartment, ill be adding a whole new branch! originally i wanted to let players choose between staying or leaving because of how hurtful Lane's words are, but i simply didnt have enough time to make an entirely new branch. so thats coming in Shift 3.5!

- adding the possibility to talk with Lane multiple times at the store, just like BB.

- adding even more scenes and conversations with BB! :3

so overall… i think Shift 3 + Shift 3.5 together are going to be astronomically long xD im guessing around 200k words in total!

of course i will also add new sprites and CGs for Amelia and the Drunk Route specifically. ill start working on it but for now im gonna rest a bit and gather ideas, thank you so much for your support! :3💖💖

i updated the game again to fix all the missing stuff (interactive objects, etc...)! i also added more sprites and made things smoother especially on BB's route.

AND… i changed Lane's password to 8008 LMFAOOOO 😭 i dont know what was going through my head. im so stupid xD

i think ive never been this stressed in my entire life not even during important exams 😭

ALSO!! i noticed a lot of you were struggling to get a route at the beginning, so i added an option to skip Shift 2 and directly choose the route you want!

to answer a question:

yes!! ill be working on the neutral routes soon (drunk route + Amelia)! while doing that, ill probably also add or tweak things for Lane and BB depending on your feedback. if you think some jokes deserve more callbacks or little moments together, let me know!

one thing thats a bit tricky for me as a writer is that i have some ethical lines i dont want to cross. for example, i cant write scenes where the player is encouraged to laugh at sexist, homophobic or racist remarks/jokes. even if the situation itself is funny, i dont want the game to accidentally frame those behaviors as acceptable. thats why the MC never finds those comments funny or agrees with them.

its the same principle as why id never write Lane, BB, Amelia or any romanceable character as someone who commits rape or sexual harassment. to me, that would mean asking players to potentially fall in love with someone capable of that and thats completely against what i want BBD to be.

its finally Lane's birthday in my country! i never thought so many people would love this jerk! xD

unfortunately, i couldnt draw any special illustration for him... but im making really good progress on the game so consider Shift 3 as my biggest thank you to all of you!😽💕

for Shift 3 everything is going well! all of BBs main backgrounds are DONE and rn im placing all the extra interactive stuff which takes forever because every single imagebutton is placed MANUALLY.😔😔

i have to find the exact xpos/ypos everytime so everything feels smooth, i swear im so tired of it but its necessary.😼😼 i truly hope youll see that the point and click in Shift 3 is like 10000 times better than Shift 2! im really trying to make it feel more polished!

so as always, the longest part is the writing. but i AM writing so no worries x)

also im sorry for the delay. please forgive me. im slow and lazy sometimes but i promise Shift 3 is already way longer and way better than Shift 2!!😼😼💖💖
