aw yay! i was wondering how you were doing lately so i'm glad to hear you had a good weekend! :D
thanks ash!! i had company over the weekend and it was a blast. we went to the zoo and saw ALL THE ANIMALS, and then to the natural history museum. yesterday another friend joined us all for breakfast and we had biscuits and gravy. my anxiety behaved the whole time, even navigating public transit which required two trains and a bus to get anywhere. i took a bunch of animal pictures, i’ll post them shortly!

@bbcbluebell I totally agree, Martin gets the major intense creep factor going in both Startup and Fargo. I'd just love him to push the barrow further and do out-and-out villain rather than taking the edge off by being a schlep (which he is in both those roles). Riii is probably the closest thing I've seen to it.

i started reading the bluest of blue the other day but ended up like immediately crying when john talked about lugnut and i've just been keeping the tab to the fic open but not reading it cuz i'm like convinced it's gonna make me cry again lol, but i do like imagining john in a ranger uniform x) how has your day been so far? :)
i looooooooove the bluest of blue but i definitely skipped That Part. It’s easy to see coming (and the author kindly warns in the notes), so basically I read John getting in the car and then skipped to the part where he was home again LALALALALA. I know it happened and I didn’t expect to need to skip it but yeaaah that is not a memory i wish to relive kthx. That being said, it is definitely a well thought out and important part of the story, and not gratuitous at all. As a person who’s very attached to pets, I really get it, how much they mean to you. And how all the other characters in the story understand how much it means to John.
Aaaaaaanyway John in a ranger uniform and sherlock in flannel is an A++ thing to imagine.
My day is super quiet and lovely so far. The weekend went by in a flash but the house is clean and we visited with a friend (and her dog!) yesterday which was fun. I’m drinking tea and waiting for some work things to update so I can get some stuff done. It’s cold again today so i expect a lot of birds on the feeder when I get home this evening.
