She snapped a picture of the neighbors house just as someone was coming out. She looked at the film that printed and sighed when she saw he did infact have feet and was clearly human. She lowered her camera and checked the picture that printed. “You ruined my shot.” She said without thinking how weird what she was doing was. She was decked in gothic all black fashion and jet black hair to match. She was unusual but that worked for her. “You must be the neighbor. I’ll warn you now that you dont want to eat the food Delia will bring over when she introduces herself. She cant cook but thinks she can.”

          going  to  the  trunk  and  slinging  out  the  spare  tire  and  the  tools  to  put  it  on  with,  he  has  to  change  the  tire  he  fucked  up  on  the  camaro  too  to  top  things  off  even  better.  “because  you  won’t  understand.”  keeping  his  back  turned  to  steve  while  he  frantically  works,  kneeling  down  on  the  ground  and  hands  feeling  shaky  around  the  metal  of  the  wrench  while  he  loosens  the  lugnuts,  “just  don’t  tell  him,  okay.  don’t  tell  ANYONE.  especially  that  fucking  carol  and  tommy  fuckhead.”  he  can’t  fucking  believe  it’s  had  to  come  down  to  this...  begging  this  dweeb  harrington  not  to  tell  his  dad  what  happened.  but  that’s  the  thing.  this  is  not  the  type  of  dad  who  will  ground  their  kid  kinda  thing.  this  is  a  monster  who  preys  on  ANY  reason  for  ‘punishment’,  neil  is  the  father  who  goes  ballistic  all  on  his  own  let  alone  giving  him  a  perfect  reason.  and  billy  damn  well  will  BEG  to  stay  out  of  his  wrath  for  the  first  time  in  his  life,  if  that  means  also  keeping  steve  from  finding  out  why  he’s  so  nervous  and  freaked  out.

“Steve!” Beth is in his arms in an instant, ambulances surrounding all of them, the military scrambling around the mall as the flames engulfed the building; but right now all that mattered to Beth was that Steve was alive. Matt was comforting Will, the rest of the kids were being looked over by the paramedics, they would be fine. Fingers tangled in his hair, the former experiment shaking in his hold as she breathed him in. This was real, there were no monsters left. Pulling away, she soon cradled his face in her hands and wiped away some of the blood with a small smile. “Hi. You scared me. No more getting kidnapped and beaten up, okay? Then again saving you was a lot of fun.”

Jonathan shook his head, his brows furrowing as he watched him, “What? No...why would you ask that?” He was a little confused. Had he been doing something to get Steve’s attention. He was completely unaware of the glaring he’d done a moment before.
