i finished batman and harley quinn! that was ass. god that sucked so much shit. nobody was in character? at all? harley was uncharacteristically mean, ivy all of a sudden cared about human lives, nightwing and batman... were. um. yeah. it tried so hard to be sexy but just ended up uncomfortable, i know nightwing technically gives consent in that scene but the fact that she drugged him beforehand... and he has a history with assault... it leaves such a bad taste. also it just wasnt funny! i didnt laugh once! the only jokes that barely hit me was the booster gold one in the middle and the swamp thing one at the end. i guess the karaoke scene was also ok. but in general this just felt like an incredibly tacky missed opportunity.

finished scooby doo & batman: the brave and the bold! that was DELIGHTFUL honestly so good. a near perfect finale to the brave and the bold cartoon (only thing that couldve made it better is if booster gold was in it somehow; him, plas, and aquaman were always the most iconic recurring characters in it to me) and it didnt slack on the scooby doo front either. really funny, with a surprisingly good overarching plot, and no im not biased because of its villain, what are you talking about?

finished lego dc super hero girls: super villain high. that was completely unremarkable in literally every way. idk these lego specials are starting to wear me down theyre all so mediocre. i guess it was cool to see this series finally somewhat acknowledge half their main cast are villains but also they didnt even, really? because they were still good guys? boring. next is teen titans go season 5 and i think it says a lot that im kind of excited just because i know that will do more to stimulate my brain

finished season 4 of dc super hero girls! same as it ever was... still a very silly and okay webseries for small children. they brought in jessica cruz and raven and pets this season. not much else going on. solid 5/10

finished justice league dark! that was pretty good. it spent a while establishing stuff i already know, assumedly due to needing to serve as an introduction for all the characters, but overall it was an interesting time. there was a demon made of shit in it. and it was animated very well. everything was animated very well! this was great from its visuals alone. i give it a thumbs up, eager for its sequel

finished suicide squad: assault on arkham! that was really fun, i think the first half was better than the second. honestly i think the weakest part of this was the connections to the arkhamverse - how harley and riddler were written here is fine and perfectly in character in the general context of the batman franchise, but in the context of the games? thats simply not what they act like lol, though in harleys case thats kind of a pro since the games write her so two dimensionally its almost funny. + the embracing of a wider dc mythos that the games ignore just again contributes to a disconnect. but DAMN did this shit have style. anyway i guess id like to see this movie with a higher budget and longer runtime and heavier comedy and more in depth plot and wait im just describing james gunns 2021 film The Suicide Squad. id like to see The Suicide Squad
