Dick’s backstory will absolutely be gotten into. I’ll probably start lightly touching on it either later in this “book” or in the next “book”. I do plan on more fully going into how Bruce got him but that’s a while off because it’s when I’m finally ready to have the Court of Owls involved in things and will end up being a fairly focal plot when I do get to it (because… Court of Owls). I know what it is basically (and no I’m not doing the “Haley’s Circus is a training ground for Talons” thing from 52 but the Court of Owls are involved in how Dick ended up with Bruce). Next “book” certainly will start introducing and exploring another part of Dick’s backstory (all I’m going to say is the Titans do exist in this universe) and the “book” after that will probably have it are more a central plot.

Like talia being a couple of years older than him, and he's so enchanted by her, and absolutely loves how she can easily knock him down so easily.

Selina being several years older than him, though she'd assume that him as batman is probably older lol. Him being totally smitten by this strong woman.

Minhkhoah being a couple of years older too, already such an impressive fighter. And all bruce wants to do is study and learn from him.

Harvey being in the year above, if they're childhood friends or something, and bruce kinda stalking him to the library, totally crushing on him.

iii. at some point in their well-established partnership bruce and clark for SOME reason start comparing their bowers’ (neither using that word, but) inventory and the convo 100% has ended up becoming a little oddly sexually charged by the time they’re done

(d) and for a last dash of angst: the display cases with his kids’ current uniforms is generally always the highlight of his Collection of Good Things — except for one. one that’s given an almost grotesque spotlight, bc bruce isn’t actually displaying it for to fulfill that urge. no, it’s simply a brutal reminder to himself of his greatest failure.

Selina purring with satisfaction every time Bruce lets her slip away with a new trinket in her pocket, pulling out her phone to brag to the others and it practically explodes with a surge of pissed off reactions and debates about whether this counts or whether it's Bruce's sense of justice that let her go so she could return it to its rightful owner.

It being practice when you reenter Bruce's bower that you pay proper respects, and there's something of a tradition to nod towards the cases housing his children's suits. A silent agreement that if you find Bruce in front of Jason's bloody suit, you don't pull him away. You stand shoulder to shoulder with him, and you wait for him to be ready.

Superbat feeling Something about showing each other around their homes. Clark whose dynamic isn't based on wolves but what is essentially the Kryptonian equivalent, and has some quirks of his own, so showing Bruce the Fortress means just as much to him as showing Clark the Batcave does to Bruce.
