I just joined the batman fandom like a few months ago and ive only read Under The Red Hood and the Batman and The Signal 1 comic-wise, and interacted with the fanon material,, (Wayne family adventures the webcomic with dubs on yt) I’d recommend Batman: the animated series though!! And Batman: Beyond !!

But seriously jfc why is there over one thousand one hundred (1,100) batman detective comics it’s actually bullshit even i don’t know where to start

Uhh so i’d say probably go in this order:

two to eight hour video essay about batman lore on YouTube

Under the red hood comic (you can probably pirate a digital copy somewhere??)

Wayne family adventures. (Not canon but the fandom mostly accepts it as canon. and it’ll have characters that don’t get talked about in the main comics all that much. Ie: harper, helena, etc) the whole thing is dubbed and on YouTube it’s like four or five seasons

Any Justice league animated show i guess??

Teen titans. the 2000’s one (NOT teen titans: go. Its not good lore-wise and they stripped all of the traits away from the og teen titans that people liked. P much exclusively for people under ten. I personally still watch tho)

You can find basically any animated tv show for free (with ads) on Watch Cartoons Online (WCO.com) that’s what i use so i don’t have to pay for most streaming services ://

Honestly just type ‘Batman’ into the wco searchbar and click whatever the hell interests you the most theres so much media theres no ‘right’ way to start.

Definitely watch The Batman 2022 though the way they portray Bruce is absolutely amazing. Lego batman is great as well. Theres a Tim Burton-directed Batman film somewhere as well but i don’t remember who plays bruce uhh,,, hm

Anyway if you do read the detective comics just know that the font is REALLY hard to read like im talking
