i think you should make characters that are "canonically" skinny fat. i think you should make characters that are "canonically" muscular fat. i think there is no inherent harm in making a character fat in fanworks even if that goes against canon.
i think that if your response to someone politely pointing out that your official merch repeatedly lightens the skin tones of your characters of colour is to not only block them here, but to also actively seek them out and block them on social media sites where the conversation isnt even happening, that reflects poorly on you.
