Mihawk
He does what he wants, when he wants. Period. If he wants you when youâre in a pub, youâre not getting away until he gets what he wants. Sitting in the booth across from him, heâs been known to put his boot between your legs on the bench, making you rut against him and rubbing it against you until you cum, quietly talking you through it in his sternest voice. Other times heâll take out his dagger, holding it to your throat or sensitive places as you fuck. Heâll draw thin lines, not breaking the skin, but testing your trust as he makes you be still for him. Once, after a particularly aggravating meeting, he made you sit on the floor at his feet. While he cleaned Yoru, he demanded that you grind on his boot and get yourself off. But no matter what he asks of you, he always rewards you for obedience.
Sir Crocodile
For being such a twisted person, heâs not as kinky in bed as youâd expected. Sure he loves marking you up, pushing your limits, demanding submission and obedience, but thereâs half a romantic in him (though only with you.) Even so, sex is rarely easy with him. And usually, the hook stays on. So of course heâll use it just as he would use his hand otherwise. Heâll rub the cool metal against your skin until it warms, until itâs slick from your mouth - or elsewhere. Heâll tease you with the tip, making you be still so it doesnât pierce you, playing a dangerous game of stimulation with the sharp tip around your nipples. He loves making you cum with it, sometimes denying you touch from his hand until you do. After making you lick it clean - or making a show of licking it himself - heâll take you until youâre begging for mercy, as always.
Buggy
You already know what this man is up to. Every part of him is detachable. He can send you off to have your day with his left hand in your clothes, using your chest and ass as a stress ball. Heâll finger you over and over, holding your soft bits for comfort - definitely not your comfort, but he doesnât give a shit. Good luck to both of you getting a damn thing done on those days. He loves leaving you with his cock buried inside you like a toy, getting hard inside you over and over and over throughout the day, his cum plugged up and acting as lube. When you finally return? He drags you off and reassembles himself, fucking you senseless - properly. Has he sent you with his nose in your underwear before? Do you want to have this conversation?
Katakuri
He is deeply repressed, your husband, in just about every way. But sexually? He has a lifetime of horny to make up for, and heâs terrified to hurt you or wear you out with his enthusiasm. First of all, youâre just so small. (Even in a world where heâs not actually giant sized, everything about him is so much bigger than you.) And he loves it. Too much. Itâs far too arousing to watch you struggle to take him, to fondle and pleasure your body in his lap with his big hands. And sure, you may not be afraid of him, but heâs still worried about frightening you with his sounds and expressions as you take his cock inside your crushing tightness. But if you tell him youâre into it? If you begged him to use you? Heâd fold instantly despite his reservations, but heâd use his observation haki - like he secretly always does - to ensure itâs never too much. The problem with using it? The risk of coming too soon when he watches you come undone.
King
Heâs still annoyed with himself for falling in love with you. And sometimes he likes bringing that into bed. Youâre so small, his little human lover. It takes a hell of a lot for you to be able to take him as it is, and heâs not about to waste all that effort with just one round. Once youâre exhausted enough to not be able to resist anymore, heâll pick you up in his hands and plunge you down on his cock like a fuck doll. Youâre just so little, itâs a wonder you can take him at all, and it gives him endless satisfaction watching the bulge in your belly as he sinks down to the hilt inside you. He loves your begging and tears, his body a weapon against you that you laughably donât want to escape. Although he doesnât know which is more pathetic - you, or his love of manhandling your small body to pleasure himself.
Eustass Kid
Your captain is never one to pull punches, in bed or otherwise. He has the conquerorâs spirit and damn if he doesnât love using it in the bedroom. He loves pushing you to your limit, pounding you ruthlessly with an arm on your throat and a hand flicking your nipples until they tingle. So of course he thinks to use his magnetism on you. He makes rough and ready cuffs the day he decides to try it with you, holding you suspended and pinned every which way as he stuffs you fulll over and over. He makes you a collar studded with metal to pulll on, he makes underwear with foil strands running through the fabric so he can watch your face as he gropes you at the absolutely wrong times. If you let him, heâll give you sex piercings that will really drive you crazy. Any insane thing you can think of, heâll be thrilled to try it.
Killer
Your blond lover is a man of contradictions - a conqueror with a gentle streak, a ruthless massacring butcher with painted nails and lips, a metal head who loves cooking. He is strength and intelligence, loyal to a fault - both to his firebrand captain and to you. For all his posturing and shows of force, his love for you is shockingly sugar sweet. Heâs always gentle and protective, making sure you eat, painting your nails and braiding your hair before bed. Sometimes you have to ask him to, you know, let you see his rough and intimidating side that you find so hot. He doesnât treat you like glass (as evidenced by all the mornings you canât walk), but you can take more, you assure him. And one of the things that arouses you about him? His punisher blades. So he wears one, holding it to your throat as he fucks you, giving you a taste of his fucked up side. Youâll be seeing more of that from now on. Hope youâre prepared.
Rob Lucci
Even in his human form, heâs ruthless and leaves you unable to walk the next day. But when he wants to use his Zoan form? The first time he was too rough, having to patch up your bite marks and⊠other injuries. So he reluctantly altered his approach. He is still ruthless, even as he preps you to take his oversized Zoan cock. He pins you roughly, kissing you fiercely. Often heâll start in his human form to stretch you, then shift while inside you. He ruts into you like the wild animal he is, knotting and mounting you again and again, manhandling you into whatever positions he wants. He is always glad to have chosen this place to call home, a former warehouse with soundproof walls - so he can make you scream and wail with no consequence except needing to leave out the ingredients for honey lemon tea in the morning for your raw throat.
Basil Hawkins
In many ways, Hawkins is a simple man. Sure he has a strange and arcane devil fruit, and his obsession with tarot predictions could be called odd, but his ambitions for power and money are nothing so unique. And for all that loving a pirate and accompanying him is full of adventure, your life and love is fairly simple in the quiet hours. So much so, that he begins to worry that heâs boring you. So he approaches you about trying something - letting the cards decide what happens in the bedroom every once in a while. Using the themes and associated elements and numbers dictate the positions, the intensity, the duration. Does it work to inspire? Or is it just an awkward attempt by your lover to please you and show his love⊠that will never be spoken of again? (If you know whatâs good for you~)
Doflamingo
Your lover is no stranger to kinks and play that would make others run for the hills. He likes it rough, he likes you helpless, he likes it wrong. And what easier way to accomplish that than by tying you up, shibari style, and leaving you dangling for him to play with? Sometimes he starts slow, taking his time, tormenting you as he binds you. Other times, youâre suspended before you can process it, your clothes torn off with a sadistic snicker and a promise to buy you something new. Heâs a bully, mean and selfish when he takes you, making you take more than you can handle over and over. More than once when heâs been busy and youâve bothered him for company, heâs strung you up and had his clone fuck you senseless. He lays out a sleeveless shirt the next day to show off the red marks from his strings.
Bartolomeo
You picked him. This insane wildcard. And heâs obsessed with you, of course heâll try literally ANY kink you suggest. And this one you mentioned? He wonât shut up the entire trip to the nearest bed in excitement to try it. He strips you quickly, chaotically, your clothes and his landing across the room. Biting his lip so hard he makes it bleed, he concentrates and crosses his fingers. He creates a small barrier that wraps around your wrist, then your other and your ankles. He uses them to carry you to bed and hold you down. When heâs assured theyâre not hurting you, he smirks and pushes his crossed fingers inside you. He rubs his face in your chest, rambling about how perfect you are, how tight and wet and sexy you are, how hot you look pinned and helpless like this. Letâs hope you really are prepared for such a long night.
Kalifa (CP9)
She is a woman of order, and that extends to every aspect of her life. She likes things clean and neat. And while sheâll reluctantly accept the consequences of the mess of lovemaking, she prefers whenever possible to do it in the bath. It is her domain, after all, and she likes the control. At times sheâll hurry things along, making you cum fast and then finishing bathing quickly. She leaves you in the water as she gets out to work, teasing you with her slick naked body as she leaves you. But she loves the indulgence of long baths, and occasionally uses her power on you when she is particularly eager for absolute control over your body and pleasure. Sheâs a tease, after all, and doesnât mind using you like a doll while she gets off.
Daz Bones
Your reticent and stoic lover, for all his intelligence, admittedly still finds it difficult to believe that you would choose him. That you feel someone so drenched in blood and sin could be worthy of you - though heâd never voice it aloud. Instead he shows it through his actions, becoming the perfect lover - anticipating your every need and want before you know it yourself. And as he studies you, he notices your hesitations, your blushing, your squirming at certain⊠ideas. And so he carefully brings up the idea in the bedroom. If you want more thrill, if you really do trust him, he could tease you with his blades. And if you accept? Your heart will be racing as hard as youâll cum. He is confidence personified when he acts, no more evident than in bed with you. Heâd never hurt you more than you wanted, but his dark side is thrilled that you would enjoy something so fucked up.
Caesar
Of course chemicals will make their way into the bedroom with your mad scientist of a lover. The vast majority of his successful experiments over time have been aphrodisiacs. (Not that he could brag to the scientific community about that.) But you? You get to try them all. Sex pollens, sense inhibitors and enhancers, mind control experiments, animal heat mimicry. Usually he uses them on you, liking being in control during those experiments, but he canât deny that he likes when youâre in charge. Heâll curse you if you give him one of his own drugs, but after a few orgasms, his cock weeping all over, heâll silently and begrudgingly forgive you. Heâs devious with them, more than once slipping you one at inopportune times (usually when he doesnât want you to leave because heâd miss you.)
Kuro of the Black Cat Pirates
He is the captain of a thousand plans. Of course heâs come up with endless scenarios to try with you when it comes to intimacy. Ways to seduce you, positions to try, preparing meals that are said to serve as aphrodesiacs, buying you classy yet alluring clothes for him to take off of you later. Or order you to take off. But heâs also impatient and tired of pretending. So a great many of his ideas revolve around punishment. Heâll make you strip and rut against the corner of the table, heâll use a paddle on you, making you count the strikes and mocking you for getting wet, heâll tie you in a dozen different shibari positions to have his way with you where you cannot resist. You present him with just the challenges he prefers in these days of seeking peace. And planning how to get inside you each night is his guilty pleasure.
Enel God of Lightning
Your god is demanding, often bored, and loves wielding his power over you. Testing his favourite worshipper, to see if youâll break before finishing. One of the most common tests is using his lightning against you. Little shocks to your lips, your nipples, between your legs. Occasionally heâll shock you a little harder when you start to cum, loving how your body writhes more as the sheer sensation lances through you. It would be bothersome to find a new devotee, so heâs careful to not hurt you. And if ever he pushes you too hard, and your pleas for mercy are earnest, heâll feel something almost akin to human emotion as he helps you down from the high and cleans you up. Youâve proven your devotion thoroughly, after all. But heâs glad when you let him test you again. He needs to know you still donât regret being chosen by him.
Sakazuki Akainu
As the one person he cares for enough to love, trust is essential between you both. And he is prone to testing that in bed. He is intense, demanding, unyielding. Sure heâll let you have a safe word, but he expects you to accept the full force of his love more often than not. Heâs rough, holding and pinning you tightly, making you repeat refrains of ownership and love to him as he wrecks you. And sometimes, heâll tease you with his devil fruit. Seeing if youâll flinch as the sweltering heat makes your skin wet with sweat. Seeing how you arch your chest or hips away from the intense heat, but drip arousal for him anyway. The only time he ever softens up is afterwards, praising you for your absolute confidence in him, for giving yourself to him in every way.
Kizaru Borsalino
Your enigmatic lover may have a multitude of secrets, but heâs not shy. And heâll train you to not be shy with him either. At first heâll be patient with you, but after a while, he starts using his power to shine a light on you. And then he progresses to not turning off the lights anymore. He corrupts you into being bolder for him, making you watch as he touches and takes you in the mirror. His power is pure energy, and sometimes heâll even play with giving you little jolts to your thighs, your chest, your back. Letting little sparks of light stimulate your most sensitive places, and then rewarding you with greater praise and affection.

ââ .⊠Luffy:
You sit at the far end of the Sunnyâs deck, legs dangling over the side. The sea sparkles in the sun, and the wind plays with your hair. Luffy is across from you, lying on his back with his hat over his face.
You glance at him for the third time in one minute.
He lifts the hat just a bit âYouâre staring againâ he says with a grin.
âIâm notâ you lie, too fast.
âYou are.â Luffy sits up, stretching âWhy?â
âBecause youâre weirdâ you say, kicking the air with your feet.
Luffy laughs âThatâs true! Can I kiss you?â
You smile, but quickly turn away when you hear footsteps. Sanji walks by with a tray of drinks. He looks at you, then at Luffy, then back at you. He squints.
âSomething wrong with your face, Sanji?â you ask, trying to sound casual.
He frowns âNo. Just⊠never mind. Dinner is almost ready.â He walks off.
You glance at Luffy. Heâs watching you now.
âDo you think he knows?â you whisper.
Luffy shrugs âMaybe. But who cares?â
âI care! We said weâd keep this a secret, remember? Youâre our captain, they will think I get favouritism or something.â
He pouts âI show favoritism to every single one of them. None of you even call me Captain⊠Who else in the world is a captain but isnât even called âCaptainâ by his own crew? Just me! And I really want to tell them.â
âWe canâtâ you say, standing up âNot yet. Itâll be weird. Theyâll tease us forever.â
Luffy tilts his head âSo?â
âSo⊠I like it like this. Just us.â
He grins again and nods âOkay, okay. Just us. I like this too.â
But then Usopp yells from the other side of the ship, âLuffy! Why were you smiling like that? Did you eat something without me?!â
Luffy shouts back, âNo! Mind your business for once!â
You giggle.
He looks at you, serious for a second âTheyâre gonna find out.â
âYouâre a terrible liar but if weâre careful we can at least have some more time.â you say.
But even as you say it, you know its just a matter of days before Luffy will âaccidentallyâ expose you.
âDINNER IS READY!â
Everyone is gathered around the table, plates stacked high with meat, rice, and bread. Sanjiâs outdone himself again. Luffy is already three plates in, sauce all over his face and hands.
Youâre chewing on a piece of pizza when a bit of sauce drips onto your chin.
Without even thinking, Luffy leans across the table with a napkin he just stole from Nami and wipes it away gently.
âMessyâ he mumbles smiling at you, like itâs normal.
Everyone freezes.
Nami slowly lowers her fork. Zoro raises an eyebrow. Usoppâs mouth falls open.
Sanji blinks âWhat the hell was that?â
Luffy freezes like a statue, still holding the napkin mid-air.
You feel your soul leave your body.
âAre you twoâŠâ Nami starts, squinting hard, ââŠdating?â
Luffy sits up fast, and stay still like heâs got caught in the middle of stealing all the food.
Then he suddenly snaps âAbsolutely fucking not! Why would you even think that?!â
Silence.
You blink.
Zoro tilts his head âYou sure? âCause that was some weird-ass behavior.â
âYeah, dude,â Usopp adds âYou never wipe anyoneâs face. You donât even wipe your own face.â
Nami who is still shocked âDid⊠did he just say absolutely fucking not?â
Luffy looks like a deer caught in a very obvious lie.
Your eye twitches.
You sigh, lean back in your chair, and say, âYes⊠yes. Weâre dating. That lie was so bad I canât even pretend anymore.â
Nami chokes on her drink. Brook lets out a dramatic gasp. Chopper claps his hooves together.
All while you whisper âStupid me, I even thought the worst scenario was you finding out in the next few days.â
Luffy looks at you, then back at them âWaitâso weâre telling them now?â
âNo, you! You told them by being the worst liar Iâve ever seen.â
He scratches his head âOops.â
âYou literally said âabsolutely fucking notâ, not really in character from you, don't you think?â
He grins âI panickedâŠThat made it more dramatic, right?â
Sanji stands up like heâs about to give a whole speech âWhen did this start? How long have you been hiding this from your family?â
You groan. Luffy laughs. Everyone starts shouting questions at once.
He leans over and nudges you with his elbow âHey. At least itâs not a secret anymore. And they don't seem to mind it at all! You were so scared for nothing, look at them!â
You shove a piece of bread in his mouth âYou owe me so many meat dinners.â
He just grins wider and keeps eating like nothing happened but with a grin that actually says everything happened.
ââ .⊠Sabo:
Itâs quiet after dinner. The hum of HQ fades beneath the warm weight of Saboâs arms around you. Youâre curled up in his lap on the couch in his room, legs tangled, his coat draped over both of you like a blanket. Heâs kissing you softly, lazily, like the world doesnât need saving for just a few hours.
âYou always smell like smokeâ you whisper, nose brushing his.
Sabo chuckles, pressing another kiss to your cheek âAnd you smell like peace. So I guess weâre even.â
You smile, fingertips trailing the line of his jaw, just about to kiss him again when BANG. The door flies open.
Hack stands there. Eyes wide. Mouth slightly open. Absolutely regretting everything.
ââŠOh...â he says flatly.
You launch upright, nearly taking the coat with you.
âWAITâ!â
But Sabo, not missing a beat, still lazily cradling your waist, says in a perfectly deadpan voice âClose the door. Weâre not done yet.â
Hackâs brain visibly short-circuits.
He backs out slowly like heâs seen the gates of hell.
âYup. Nope. Didnât see anything. I need bleach. Whereâs the bleach.â
The door clicks shut.
Silence.
You collapse against Sabo, face buried in his chest.
He just laughs, fingers drawing gentle circles on your back.
âHackâs probably going to meditate in a cold stream after this.â
The next morning Koala kicks open your cabin door âRise and shine, lazyassâtraining starts in twenââ
She stops.
Empty bed. No note. No sign of life.
Her eye twitches.
Cut to: Saboâs room. She barges in without knocking.
âWhat the hell, have you seenâoh my GOD!â
Youâre in Saboâs bed. In his shirt.
Heâs sleepily spooning you, arm wrapped tight around your waist, chin nestled in your hair like itâs the most natural thing in the world.
Koala freezes.
You freeze.
Sabo doesnât move a muscle. Just groans, nuzzles into you, and pulls you back down under the covers.
ââŠSo thatâs why youâre both always smiling at morning drillsâ Koala mutters.
You peek over Saboâs shoulder, hair a mess, whispering âHack didnât lock the door.â
Koala just turns on her heel âUnbelievable. Iâm calling Dragon. You two need supervised training from now on.â
Youâre both trying so hard to keep it a secret even now.
Swearing up and down: No more getting caught. No more accidental cuddling in public. No more open doors. NO MORE SPOONING IN SABO'S SHIRT WHILE KOALA SCREAMS.
And yet...
After a brutal training session, youâre the last two stragglers left on the field. The sun's setting, sweat gleaming on both of you, breath still heavy from sparring.
Sabo tosses his gloves aside, runs a hand through his messy, damp hair, and looks at you like you're made of starlight and rebellion.
He steps closer.
Youâre flushed, smiling, practically glowing from the adrenaline.
He reaches out, fingers brushing your cheek.
"Nobodyâs here," he murmurs, a little breathless âJust one kiss.â
Youâre this close. This close. Lips nearly touchingâBOOM.
Ivankov struts around the corner like they owns the damn place, fanning dramatically.
âOH honey, if youâre gonna get sweaty together, at least invite me to watch!â
You and Sabo JUMP apart like youâve been electrocuted.
Sabo coughs violently and turns beet red while you trip over your own foot trying to act like you were doing literally anything else.
Ivankov is grinning like the cat who caught the canoodling lovebirds âYou two are about as subtle as a sea king in a bathtub.â
Ivankov winks and keeps walking like nothing happened.
Sabo is frozen. Youâre wheezing from secondhand embarrassment.
ââŠWe suck at this.â you mutter.
Sabo just covers his face and groans, âIâm never going to hear the end of all this.â
By now, literally everyone has caught you and Sabo in some weirdly intimate moment, except for one man, Monkey D. Dragon. And thatâs how the betting pool was born.
It started with Koala dropping 50 berries on âHe finds them mid-make-out in the strategy room.â
Hack went in on âOne of them slips up and calls the other âbabeâ during a mission brief.â
Even Ivankov scribbled down âSabo gets distracted by Y/Nâs ass mid-battle. Dragon walks up behind him.â
Thereâs a whiteboard hidden in the break room with all their bets.
In all this you and Sabo are sitting on a bench overlooking the cliffside near HQ, pretending to "review maps". The sun is golden, the breeze is soft, and Saboâs hand is definitely resting a little too high on your thigh for this to be strictly cartographic.
Sabo chuckles, tilting his head toward the training grounds âKoalaâs been pointing at us through binoculars for the last ten minutes.â
You glance over and she waves. So does Ivankov, who is literally holding a notepad that says âDRAGON CATCHES THEM: THURSDAY AT 14:37â.
You groan, burying your face in Saboâs shoulder âThis is humiliating.â
He laughs, pressing a kiss to your hair âWe could just tell him and so they'll stop.â
You both pause.
Then simultaneously say, âNope.â
The next day, itâs supposed to be a standard mission call. Everyoneâs focused, the mission is critical, and everything is tense.
Suddenly, in the middle of all the seriousness, something goes wrong. Youâre trying to navigate a tricky situation on the field, and you have to quickly adjust your position, which means you shift out of the line of communication for a second.
Sabo watches, trying to get your attention, then blurts out, completely unintentionally âCareful, babe.â
The whole call goes silent. The Den Den Mushi crackles with static, and suddenly, everyone on the call freezes.
Dragon (deadpan, calm as ever) â...What did you just say, Sabo?â
You immediately go white and you whip around to look at Sabo with wide eyes, panic setting in. You can hear Ivankovâs voice in the background, already laughing.
You âSABO, ARE YOU DUMB?!â
Sabo turns a brilliant shade of red "IâI didnât meanâ"
Everyone on the call is absolutely losing it.
Koala, trying to hold back laughter âOh my God. Did youâdid you just call them babe?!â
Hack, in the most deadpan voice ever âI won, right? I absolutely won this bet.â
Youâre trying to keep your cool, but you canât. You canât. You cover your face, groaning.
Dragon, ever the calm voice in the storm, but with a clear edge of irritation âNext time, keep the personal affections off the mission calls. You're lucky this wasnât an urgent situation. We almost got compromised.â
You can feel the heat rising in your cheeks. You glance at Sabo, who looks like heâs about to combust.
You, exasperated âSabo, f***, you made me get scolded! This is so embarrassing!â
Sabo, still trying to apologize âIâI didnât mean it like that! It was just a slipââ
But the damage is already done.
Dragon, his voice slightly dry âWeâll talk about this later. Focus on the mission. And next timeâbe more professional.â
As the call ends, the atmosphere is tense. You and Sabo are left standing there, feeling like two complete idiots.
Later that day, the break room is chaos. Hack is smugly holding up his winnings from the betting pool. Koala is still laughing, and Ivankov is offering âsupportâ by teasing Sabo non-stop.
You, on the other hand, are doing your best to avoid eye contact with everyone as Sabo sulks in the corner.
You, barely holding it together âI hate you right now. I really do.â
Sabo âI swear, I didnât mean to. Iâm so sorry.â
âYou didnât mean to, but youâre still an idiot.â
Sabo rubbing the back of his neck awkwardly ââŠI deserve that.â
ââ .⊠Kid:
You donât really think much of it the first time.
A small, clumsily wrapped package left outside your room on the Victoria Punk. The paperâs crinkled like it was balled up five times before someone gave up and tied it with rough twine.
Inside a shiny little trinket youâd mentioned wanting in passing weeks ago.
You raise a brow but say nothing. Maybe someoneâs just being nice.
Then it happens again. And again.
Each gift is messy but thoughtful, like someoneâs trying to be sweet. A handmade weapon accessory here. Your favorite snacks there. One day, a scrawled note reads, âDonât let anyone else have this. Itâs for you onlyâ not signed.
The crew notices. Of course they do.
Heat starts humming âSomeoneâs got a secret admirer~.â
Wire goes like âWho even knew you liked that kind of thing?â
Killer, raising a brow behind his mask â...Itâs weirdly specific, though. Whoever it is knows you pretty well.â
You try to play it off, but the teasing doesnât stop. It only gets louder. More obnoxious.
Kid, arms crossed, leaning against the railing âTch. Who cares? Buncha idiots drooling over gifts like teenagers.â
You glance at him out of the corner of your eye.
He's unbothered. Disinterested. Completely unfazed.
That night, when the shipâs quiet and everyoneâs turned in, you knock on his door. He opens it in a loose tank top and sleep-rumpled hair, eyes narrowing.
âWhat.â
You cross your arms âAre the gifts from you?â
He blinks âWhat?â
âThe stuff. The notes. The snacks. Youâre the only one who listens that closely.â
A flicker of something passes through his expression, too fast to catch. But then his scowl deepens.
âYou think Iâve got time to play secret admirer with you? Hell no.â
You stare at him, caught off guard.
ââŠYouâre serious?â
He scoffs and turns away âGo to sleep. Youâre imagining things.â
He slams the door behind him. Youâre left in the hall, heart twisting a little. Because he sounded so convincing.
But if itâs not him⊠Then who the hell is it?
After that night with Kid, you really do try to let it go. But the crew doesnât.
You can't walk into the mess hall without someone raising an eyebrow or tossing a comment.
Wire leans back in his chair one morning, boots on the table, biting into an apple with a grin âHey, Y/N, no new packages today? What a tragedy. Guess your mystery lover finally ran out of ideas.â
Heat chuckles, elbowing him âOr maybe theyâre just planning something bigger. Like a grand confession. What do you think, huh? Gonna be roses next time?â
You, dryly âRight. Iâll expect fireworks off the port side.â
Killer, voice calm but laced with amusement from beneath the mask âHonestly, Iâm more impressed by the consistency. Whoever it is, theyâre either very devoted⊠or very stupid.â
Kid, across the room, is pretending not to hear, arms crossed, eyes on something that doesn't exist. His jawâs clenched so tight, you can see it from here.
You catch his eye for a second but he looks away fastly.
The next morning, nothing shows up. Then the next. And the next.
You donât say anything about it. Neither does Kid. But somethingâs different in the air now, like tension caught in a bottle, just waiting to explode.
One night, youâre lying tangled up together, the hum of the ship quiet around you. Heâs half asleep, heavy arm slung across your waist, his hand lazily tracing circles on your skin.
Your head is on his chest, warm and steady.
ââŠI havenât gotten any new gifts latelyâ you mumble, mostly to yourself.
He stiffens just slightly, but doesnât say a word.
You chew on your lip âThink they found out about us? Maybe they backed off.â
Still nothing.
You lift your head and look at him âYou ever think about who it mightâve been? Kinda funny, right? Maybe someone on the crew really had a thing for me.â
Still no response.
You grin a little âWhat if it was Killer? You think heâs the poetic type? Am I his type?â
Before you can say another wordâwhump.
A pillow slams into your face, hard enough to make you roll.
âHEY!â you shout, laughing âYou absolute brat!â
Kid doesnât even look guilty.
âYouâre annoyingâ he mutters, but thereâs a faint blush rising to his ears. He turns his head, scowling at the ceiling like it insulted him personally.
You smirk, poking him in the side âOhh, someoneâs touchyâŠâ
âIâm throwing you off the bed.â
âYouâre not strong enough.â
âWanna bet?â
Weeks pass.
Everyone moves on. The secret admirer jokes fade. Kid goes back to normal, grumpy, snarky, yours. You figure that weird little mystery chapter is just done.
Until one day, you find a new gift.
Not one of its usual ones, no haphazard twine, no angry handwriting. This oneâs clean, careful. Wrapped in deep red paper with a ribbon tied perfectly.
Inside: a carved charm. Elegant. Personal.
The note says âCouldnât help myself. Thought youâd like this.â
Your heart actually skips a beat.
You march straight to the engine bay, holding it up like evidence. Kidâs elbow-deep in mechanical guts, oil smeared on his hands.
âHey,â you call âNow... is this from you?â
He glances up, sees the box, and freezes âWhat the fuck is that?â
âA gift. Someone left it for me. Just now.â
The silence is nuclear.
Then his voice explodes âARE YOU KIDDING ME?!â
He storms past you like a cannonball with legs, throwing open the engine bay doors and stomping onto the deck.
âALRIGHT,â he bellows, voice booming across the ship, âWHOEVER THE HELL THINKS THEY CAN FLIRT WITH MY PARTNERâUGH COME SAY IT TO MY FACE!â
Everyone stops what theyâre doing.
A wrench drops. Someone chokes on their food. Killer just sighs.
âYOU HEARD ME!â Kidâs pacing like a madman, hair wild, coat half falling off one shoulder âYOU THINK YOU CAN STEAL MY ONE WITH PRETTY RIBBONS?! Y/N IS MINE. MINE!â
You bury your face in your hands and whisper "Please stop, this is really embarassing."
Killer, calmly from the upper deck âWell. That answers that. We all knew the original gifts were from you, Eustass.â
Heat, grinning âYeah, but I thought heâd last a little longer before breaking.â
Wire, yelling from the mess hall window âPAY UP! I SAID HEâD CRACK WHEN A REAL RIVAL SHOWED UP!â
Youâre still standing in the middle of the storm, holding the new gift while your hot-headed boyfriend is screaming at the ocean.
You, deadpan âGreat. Now the whole Grand Line knows.â
Kid, turning to you like you betrayed him âWHY WERE YOU SMILING AT IT?!
âBecause I thought it was from you again!â
âWELL, IT WASNâT. AND NOW IâM GONNA MURDER WHOEVER THAT WAS.â
The deck is still vibrating from Kidâs volume. Heâs stomping around like a territorial lion, red in the face and shouting murder oaths into the wind.
âCOME ON! WHO WAS IT?! WHO THINKS THEYâVE GOT A CHANCE?! IâLL BREAK YOUR TEETH IN.â
Youâre standing there, clutching the new gift, wondering if youâll have to tackle him to keep the crew alive.
But then Killer steps forward, calm as ever âKid.â
Nothing.
Killer raises his voice slightly âKid!â
That gets through. Kid slows, turns, still wild-eyed âWhat?! You want me to let someone justâ?!â
Killer sighs like heâs been dealing with this since the womb âThat gift wasnât from a rival. It was from us all.â
The entire crew falls silent.
You blink âWaitâwhat?â
Killer glances at you, then back to Kid, arms crossed âWe knew the first gifts were from you. Weâve known for a while.â
Kid opens his mouth. Closes it. Opens it again âYouâWHAT?!â
Heat, leaning against the rail with a huge grin âCâmon. You thought we wouldnât recognize your handwriting? You write like youâre trying to fight the paper.â
Wire, popping his head out from the doorway âAnd who else would wrap a gift in metal wire and call it âaestheticâ?"
Killer adds âWe figured if we pushed you enough, youâd confess eventually. That final gift was just the nudge.â
Kid stares at them like theyâve grown two heads âSo it was a trap?!â
Killer, with a shrug âIt worked.â
Then Killer turns to you âWhat we didnât know was that you two were already together.â
Thereâs a ripple of surprise through the crew.
Wire nods âYeah! Let's go back to that because... like... what?â
Heat nods even more dramatically âYeah! Since when?!â
You, dryly âA few months before the first gift showed up.â
Kidâs jaw tightens like he regrets every decision leading to this moment.
âYou guys are the worstâ he growls.
Heat, wheezing âWeâre the worst?! Youâve been sneaking around and flirting through weapon mods!â
Wire, laughing âAND YOU STILL DENIED IT TO Y/NâS FACE?!â
Kid lets out a sound somewhere between a growl and a scream and turns to you like youâre his last hope of escaping humiliation.
You just grin at him âCâmon, Captain. Letâs go before you combust.â
Heâs still grumbling when you tug his arm and drag him below deck, muttering curses under his breath the whole way.
ââ .⊠Shanks:
The sea is quiet tonight.
The crew laughs near the campfire, their voices loud under the stars. You sit a little away from them, pretending to look at the moon. But really, youâre waiting. Waiting for him.
A warm hand touches your shoulder from behind.
âMiss me?â Shanks whispers, his voice soft like a wave brushing the shore.
You smile without turning âYouâre late.â
âI had to talk to Benn. Captain stuff,â he says. Then he leans in close âBut Iâve been thinking of you the whole time.â
You giggle, quiet âLiar.â
âIâm a pirate. What did you expect?â
Finally, you turn to him. Shanks is smiling that lazy smile you know too well. His red hair glows under the moonlight. His eyes? All on you.
âDon't look at me like that, someone might see itâ you whisper, looking at the crew.
âThey wonât,â he says âTheyâre drunk, loud, and too busy telling stories.â
You glance again. Heâs right. No one is looking.
So you let him pull you behind the palm trees. The sand is warm under your feet, and the wind carries the scent of salt and firewood. He sits down and opens his arms.
âCome here.â
You crawl into his lap like itâs the most natural thing in the world. He wraps his one arm around your waist, holding you close.
âI missed you todayâ you say.
âI missed you tooâ he says. Then he kisses the top of your head âYou know what keeps me going?â
âWhat?â
âThis. Just this.â
You press your face into his chest âYouâre soft for a pirate.â
He laughs, his chest shaking âOnly with you.â
The night is quiet now. Just the waves and the sound of his heartbeat.
He whispers, âOne day, when this secret doesnât have to be a secret anymore⊠Iâll hold your hand in front of everyone. Iâll kiss you right on the deck.â
You look up at him âPromise?â
âI swear on the one piece.â
You laugh again, and he kisses your nose âThatâs a big promiseâ you say.
âI never break my promisesâ he says.
And in that moment, under the stars and hidden from the world, you believe him.
Itâs late now. The fire has burned low. The crew is asleep, scattered in hammocks or on the beach.
But youâre wide awake.
You stare at the door of his cabin. You know itâs risky. But your heart pulls you there anyway.
You knock once, soft.
The door opens almost instantly. Heâs there, sleepy eyes and messy hair. Shirt half buttoned.
âCouldnât sleep?â he asks with a small smile.
You shake your head âCan I⊠stay?â
He doesnât answer with words. Just steps aside, lets you in, and closes the door behind you.
His room smells like sea salt, old paper, and something thatâs just him. Itâs small but warm. The bed takes up most of the space.
âYou sure you want to risk it?â he teases, pulling the blankets back.
You nod, already crawling in âYouâre warm. Thatâs worth the risk.â
He chuckles, switching off the lantern âCome here then.â
The bed creaks as he joins you. You curl into his chest. His arm wraps around you tightly, like heâs afraid youâll vanish.
You whisper into the dark, âI love when itâs just us.â
âI know,â he says, resting his chin on your head âMe too.â
Silence for a moment. Just your breaths, your hearts. Together.
Then he says, quietly, âI always sleep better when youâre here.â
You grin, even though he canât see it.
âYou snoreâ you whisper.
âLies.â
âLoudly.â
He laughs, low and soft âIâm a captain. Iâm allowed.â
You snuggle closer, legs tangled, warmth everywhere. His hand finds yours under the blanket. Fingers laced, easy and natural.
âStay every night,â he says, voice almost a mumble now âEven if they find out. Even if itâs chaos. I donât care anymore.â
âYouâll care when Benn gives you that lookâ you say.
âIâll survive it,â he says âI wonât survive not having you.â
You go quiet at that. Because sometimes, he says things that hit your heart like a wave.
âI wonât survive not having you eitherâ you whisper.
He kisses your forehead. Gentle. Safe. Real.
In the morning, the sunlight slips through the cracks in the window, painting golden stripes across the bed.
You stretch, warm and safe, still tucked under Shanksâ arm. Heâs already awake, watching you with sleepy eyes and a soft smile.
âMorningâ he whispers, brushing hair from your face.
âMorningâ you mumble back, voice still scratchy from sleep.
He leans down and kisses your cheek âYou drooled a little.â
âLiar.â
âYou did.â
You groan, roll over, and bury your face in his pillow âI hate you.â
âNo, you donât.â
You donât.
But youâre very late.
You were supposed to help Lucky Roux in the kitchen twenty minutes ago. But after all the cuddling and stealing kisses between brushing your teeth and Shanks being distracting (on purpose), you throw on the nearest shirt and rush out the door.
The morning air hits your face. The crew is already up, busy with chores, chatting, moving crates, laughing.
You walk fast, head down, trying not to look guilty. But then someone says behind you, âHeyâŠâ
You freeze.
Itâs Yasopp.
He squints, then tilts his head âThat shirt looks kinda familiarâŠâ
You look down. Big, red, half-buttoned pirate shirt. Smells faintly like rum and sea and... you.
Itâs his shirt.
You force a smile âOh, really? I, um⊠I just bought this yesterday in town! Crazy, right?â
Yasopp blinks âItâs just... Shanks has one just like that.â
You laugh. Too loud âThatâs so funny! What a coincidence!â
He raises an eyebrow âUh-huh.â
You start walking again âOkay, bye! Gotta go stir the stew!â
You practically run to the kitchen, slam the door behind you, and press your back to it, heart racing.
Lucky Roux looks up from chopping onions âYou okay?â
âFine! Everythingâs fine! Great! Love onions!â
You spend the next hour hiding in the kitchen, trying to look very busy.
Youâre scrubbing a spoon like it just insulted your whole family when you hear footsteps outside.
Then, his voice.
âMmhâŠâ
Itâs Shanks.
You freeze.
âI swear I left it here somewhereâŠâ he mumbles, mostly to himself.
Lucky Roux looks up âCaptain?â
Shanks scratches his head âMy red shirt. The one with the loose buttons? I wanted to wash it but⊠maybe I already did? Or someone moved it?â
You choke on air.
Lucky Rouxâs eyes widen.
You slowly turn, still holding the spoon, sweat forming on your back.
Yasopp walks in right then, and Lucky Roux points at you silently.
Yasopp follows the finger⊠sees the very red shirt youâre wearing⊠and his jaw drops.
âOh⊠my⊠GOD.â
You raise your hands like youâre being arrested âI can explainââ
âNo no no no, donât you dare,â Yasopp says, pointing now âThis is amazing. Since when?!â
Shanks, confused, looks between you and them âWait⊠whatâs happening?â
Your face burns âShanks. This is your shirt.â
He blinks.
Looks at you.
Then at the shirt.
Then back.
âOh.â
The silence lasts about two seconds.
Then the entire kitchen explodes.
âWhat the hell?!â
âYou two?!â
âI KNEW IT!â
Lucky Roux claps like he just saw a proposal âThis is the best day of my life.â
You groan and hide behind a cabinet door.
Shanks laughs, holding up his hands âOkay, okay, okay, you got us.â
Yasopp shouts, âSince when?â
Shanks grins and leans casually against the table âMmh⊠A while. Since that one stop in Lougetown.â
âThat was months ago!â someone yells.
You peek out, blushing âWe were being careful!â
âYou wore his shirtâ Yasopp deadpans.
Shanks throws an arm around your shoulder âGuess we donât have to be careful anymore.â
The crew starts chanting something dumb like âKISS KISS KISS!â and you groan again, but Shanks just laughs and plants a quick kiss on your temple, bold and smug.
âOh you're actually loving all thisâ you whisper.
âA lotâ he whispers back.
ââ .⊠Bartolomeo:
You didnât mean to fall for Bartolomeo.
It kind of⊠just happened.
Between the screaming, the fangirling, the way he glared at anyone who looked at you too long. But somewhere between the nonsense, you found something real.
He loves big. Loud. Unfiltered. But when no oneâs watching? He loves so quietly, you can barely believe itâs the same guy.
Right now, you're hiding in the hallway of the ship, tucked behind a stack of crates. Bartolomeo is sitting cross-legged, handing you a rice ball.
âI made it for you!â he says, puffing out his chest âI watched a tutorial. Itâs heart-shaped!â
You look down. Itâs⊠more like a lumpy circle, but you smile anyway.
âItâs perfectâ you say.
His face turns red âY/nâŠâ He sways a little, hand over his heart âYouâre too kind⊠Iâm gonna DIE!â
You laugh and take a bite.
âDonât die. You still owe me cuddles tonight.â
âRIGHT. YES. I shall live for the cuddles.â
The secret has stayed safe. So far.
Except today, you dock on an island with a bunch of rowdy pirates who definitely pick a fight before lunch.
Youâre in the middle of battle, blocking with a staff, when one pirate gets too close and knocks you to the ground.
Youâre fine. A little scratched. But Bartolomeo sees it happen. And then it happens.
He turns.
He screams.
âTHATâS MY BABYYYYYYYYYâ!â
Everyone stops.
Even the wind pauses.
You slowly get up. Face blank.
He freezes.
His hand is mid-air, about to use his barrier powers. His eyes wide.
ââŠDid I just say that out loud?â he whispers.
The entire crew is staring.
Someone goes, âWait. Your baby???â
You try to speak âUhâhe meansââ
âI MEAN WHAT I SAID,â Bartolomeo yells again, fully panicking now âY/N IS MY BABY. MY LOVE. MY SWEET CHERRY BLOSSOMââ
âBARTO,â you hiss âStop confessing in front of everyone!â
Too late.
He throws his hands up and suddenly thereâs a giant heart-shaped barrier around you two. Sparkly. Pink. Absolutely not subtle.
He turns to you âAt least weâre alone now.â
You facepalm âThereâs a window, Barto.â
You hear cheering from outside.
âTHEYâRE DATINGGGGG!â
âPAY UP, I TOLD YOU THEY WERE!â
âDOES LUFFY KNOW?!â
You sigh.
Bartolomeo wraps you in his arms, completely unbothered now âSo⊠secretâs out.â
You look up at him âWhat gave it away? The screaming or the love bubble prison?â
ââŠBoth?â
You canât help it. You laugh. He kisses your forehead.
âI love youâ he says.
âI love you tooâ you whisper, even if the entire world hears it now.
After that no one seems to actually care about the two of you.
Weeks later you and Bartolomeo are docked on a chill island when you run into the last people you expected: the Straw Hat Pirates.
Luffy spots you both instantly.
âYO, BARTO!!â he shouts, waving like a madman.
Bartolomeo screams, throws himself to the ground, and starts sobbing with joy.
âLUFFY-SENPAI! I WOULD DIE FOR YOU! THANK YOU FOR BREATHING IN MY DIRECTION!!â
Youâre behind him like âOkay, this is fine.â
You greet the rest of the crew like normal. Everyoneâs smiling, happy to see you, no one suspects a thing.
You and Bartolomeo agreed before getting there: keep it private. You didnât want anyone or worse, Luffy finding out. Bartolomeo is just way better when it's just the two of you.
That night, it happens.
âGAME NIGHT!â Usopp shouts âWinner gets free food!â
The crew splits into teams. You get pulled into a round of a random game and of course you end up against Luffy.
Everyoneâs crowded around. People are yelling. Sanjiâs handing out drinks. Robin and Nami are judging.
Luffyâs up first.
He draws a card and starts flapping his arms.
âBird!â âChicken!â âFlying fish!â âZoro waking up late!â
He gets it.
Then itâs your turn.
You pull your card and immediately drop to the ground, trying to act out a seal (Itâs harder than it looks).
People are guessing like crazy.
"Penguin!" "Sea cow?"
Luffy squints.
Bartolomeo, sitting quietly in the back with popcorn, clutches his cup.
He stares at you with so much intensity, itâs insane.
And then it happens... again.
You clap your hands and bounce a little, still acting out the seal.
He jumps to his feet.
âYES BABY! GO! DESTROY HIM!! YOU GOT THIS, MY LITTLE WAR MACHINE!!â
Silence.
Everyone stares.
You freeze mid-flap.
Luffy slowly turns âWait⊠Baby?â
Zoro raises an eyebrow âLittle war what?â
Nami drops her drink.
Chopper gasps so hard he hiccups.
Sanji says âWait a damn minute...â
Bartolomeo realizes too late. Hands fly to his mouth.
Youâre still stuck in seal position, blinking.
Robin, smiling softly âWell⊠that explains the way he looks at you.â
You turn to look at him, mad âDo you even try??â
Usopp yells, âYOU TWO?! YOUâVE BEEN DATING THIS WHOLE TIME?!â
Bartolomeoâs face is red as a tomato âI⊠I didnât mean to! y/n was just so cute pretending to be a seal...â
You slap your forehead.
Luffy, wide-eyed, just goes, âWhoa. Youâre dating my number one fan. Thatâs crazy. He even choose to cheer for you.â
You sigh âYeah. It is.â
And then he bursts out laughing âTHATâS SO COOL!â
The whole crew joins in, laughing, teasing, clapping Bartolomeo on the back. Heâs half-proud, half-mortified, but he doesnât stop smiling all night.
Later, when the chaos dies down, he wraps an arm around your waist and whispers, âSorry, babe.â
You smirk âFor cheering too loud?â
âFor waiting this long to yell about how amazing you are.â
You roll your eyes âI liked the âmy little war machineâ part.â
He gasps âReally?! I was just improvising!â
âNever do that again.â
âOkay but also⊠you were winning.â

Portgas D. Ace: A Blanket
âAce, I gotta go babe.â You had been struggling to get out of his embrace for twenty minutes. âBut youâre so comfyyyy,â he pouted, snuggling into your further. You knew this day would come, when he would forget all reason, when no amount of logic could get him to let you leave the bed for your meeting, when your secret weapon would finally need to be deployed. âSweet cheeks, did I ever show you the new blanket I got?â âHmm I donât think so.â âHere, check it out.â You reached under your bed to pull out the blanket you had been hiding under there for months. âIsnât it soft.â You carefully wrapped it around him, careful to make sure you didnât get trapped once more in his embrace. As he pulled it tighter around his shoulders he exclaimed âThis is amazing!!â Before you could even begin to explain that it had been made from a rare wool and you had gotten it in orange just for him he was already asleep, snoring loudly with drool hanging from his mouth. With a small smile, a pat to his head, and a chuckle, you left to get your meeting. When you got back Ace was, predictably, still asleep so you pulled open the blanket and joined him for a warm afternoon nap.Â
Bartolomeo: Literally Anything LuffyÂ
âBarto, actually I think I want tââ âAnd thens we could go over tâ the armory to check out some new weapons,â he spoke with a big grin, seemingly not hearing your words as continued to list out all the plans he had for your day, despite you telling him the night before that you wanted to wander the town solo. You knew what he was doing. He knew what he was doing. The Barto Club had stopped for a scheduled resupply and Bartolomeo woke up keen on staying by your side, acting more clingy than usual today. You, on the other hand, just wanted the day to yourself. Luckily, you knew a trick that could easily distract your man for at least an hour â more if you were having a lucky day. âWhat was that?â You perked up suddenly, getting his attention. âWhat was what dollface?â He asked confused, looking around. âI thought I heard someone say Luffy was a loser..?â You feigned confusion and a tiny bit of anger when pretending to look around the market for the nonexistent culprit. âIt sounded like it came from over there,â you pointed towards a group of men on the outskirts of the market. They looked weak enough to not be too much of a problem but prideful enough to give Barto a hearty distraction should he get them started on a debate. âTalkinâ bad about Mr. Luffy?!â Bartolomeo was already stomping his way over to the group who looked up confused. âDonât get into too much trouble,â you called after him before setting about on your day around town. When you were satisfied with your haul of local goods you returned to where you had left Barto, finding him harassing a new group of islanders with his retelling of the time he got to meet Mr. Luffy. âPoor people,â you thought as you walked up to Barto and grabbed his wrist, pulling him back to the ship. âHey!â He reacted. âBarto,â you turned to him batting your eyes, âwill you tell me again about how you helped Ms. Robin climb the plateau?â He immediately started in on his story, seemingly forgetting that you were there for the entire event. You didn't mind though, you loved hearing him passionately recount the tales of the Strawhat crew. I mean, they are amazing after all.Â
Buggy: Give him a reason to put on a show
âBugs, Iâll only be gone for a couple of hours.â âExactly! Who knows what sort of troubles you could run into. That is why you simply must let me accompany you.â You loved Buggy. You loved his flair for the dramatics, his confidence, his silky hair, but right now, when all you wanted was a few hours of alone time, you wanted to wring his neck. You took a deep sigh, rubbed your temples, and decided it had to be done Turning to face him you set out to put on the performance of your life. âYouâre so right dear. You absolutely have to come with me, but,â you took a step back and looked down at your clothes, âif I go out dressed like this Iâm afraid Iâll dim your shine.â You threw in a pout for good measure. âDonât be ridiculous, youâre dazzling in everything, even when next to me.â âOh but Bugs, I would feel so much better if I had a new outfit.â You batted your eyes. âDo you think you might be able to find me one dear? I simply can't go out in this.â âHmm a costume redesign is not a bad idea⊠Anything for my co-star!! Wait right here! Donât go anywhere, I shall return in no time with an outfits for us both that will blind the gods!â He ran off in his usual theatrical fashion. Watching him go you gave him a soft smile and a small wave, waiting until he was well off the ship before you threw on your cloak, grabbed your book, and headed straight for the cute cafe you had seen by the shore, desperately ready to find a quiet corner to read in peace. You were able to sit there for almost two hours before you saw Buggy, followed quickly by Cabaji and Mohji, each carrying at least ten bags each, head back towards the ship. You took one last sip of your drink, thanked the barista, and made your way back to the ship, preparing yourself for the fashion show you knew you would now star in. âDoll, there you are! This island is overflowing with fashion fit for stars, my love! I got one of everything I could. Now, what would you like to try on first?â
Roronoa Zoro: Tell him Sanji was talking shit
âZo, Iâm just gonna be a minute I promise.â âIn shark infested waters? No wayâ You knew he wasnât really worried about that. Zoro was having quite the clingy day, barely leaving your side, so when you told him you were gonna go swim with Nami he started immediately listing reasons why you simply couldnât go, it was just too dangerous without him. You should just stay by his side and nap instead. You adored when Zoro was clingy as it didnât happen very often, but finding time to enjoy a secluded beach was just as rare, if not more. Not to mention Nami would kill you if she found out you ditched her for Zoro. You offered a silent apology to Sanji in your head before sending Zoro on a faux mission. âDid Sanji ever talk to you?â Your sudden subject change confused him slightly. âWhat could that love cook possibly need to talk to me about?â âI think he said something about offering you tips to help your form? Soemthign about how you had been slacking lately.â âSLACKING!?â Zoro didnât even offer you a second glance before storming off to fight with poor Sanji. âOh youâre good,â Nami said, sliding up beside you, hands on her hips as she nodded impressed. âLetâs just go before one of them finds out I lied.â You laughed, pulling her off towards the water.

Monkey D. Luffy
You didn't know why you said it. Maybe because he was sitting cross-legged on the bed, stealing bites of the snack you'd been saving, looking so utterly unbothered while you were still flushed and restless from a dream that woke you up aching. "Hey Luffy, I had a dream about you last night..." He glanced over, cheeks stuffed. "Yeah? Was I fighting someone cool?" You shook your head. "Not that kind of dream, Luffy." His chewing stopped. You watched the realization travel across his face, slow and then all at once as his eyes went wide. Not going to lie, you were kinda impressed he connected the dots. The food was forgotten. He swallowed hard, "What kind, then?"
"The kind where you were on top of me," you said, surprisingly calm. "The kind where I woke up saying your name." He dropped the snack entirely and closed the distance between you, his hands were on your waist and his forehead was pressed to yours. "Tell me more." His breathing had gone ragged. "Show me what I did..." You opened your mouth to respond but he slammed his lips against you instead. When he pulled back, his pupils were blown wide. "Actually I wanna make it real. Right now."
Roronoa Zoro
He was cleaning his swords when you settled onto the bed behind him, watching the practiced movements of his hands. The words slipped out before you could second-guess them. "I dreamed about you last night." He grunted, not looking up. "Okay. And?" You leaned closer, mouth near his ear. "You had me pinned against the floor and your hand was over my mouth so the crew wouldn't hear." His hands stopped moving. The cloth hovered over the blade, before he slowly set the sword aside and turned his head. "What else."
You felt the tension in the air and your pulse kicked up. "You told me to be quiet," you continued. "But I couldn't, because you were..." You trailed off deliberately. In one fluid motion he twisted and pinned you to the mattress, his body weight pressing you down. "Because. I. Was. What." His voice was rough, his mouth hovering just above yours. "Finish the sentence." You arched up against him, dragging your lips across his jaw. "Why don't you figure it out yourself?~" His control snapped as his lips devoured yours, hungry with want. "You've got a smart mouth," he muttered against your lips, biting the bottom one hard as grinded his hips against yours. "Let's see if you can still use it when I'm done with you."
Sanji
He was plating dinner when you said it all too casually. "You were in my dreams last night." His hands kept moving, arranging garnishes with practiced precision. "Oh? I hope I was cooking you something exquisite, my love." You leaned against the counter, watching him. "Oh you weren't cooking in a literal sense." Something in your tone made him pause. "You had me sitting on this counter. Your head was between my thighs." The plate clattered. His cigarette nearly fell from his lips. When he turned to look at you, his eyes were blown wide and his composure was visibly cracking. "YouâŠ" He swallowed. "Could you repeat that?"
"Wish I could, but I woke up before I finished," you added with a little shrug. He abandoned the food entirely, crossing to you in three quick strides, and his hands trembled slightly as they settled on your hips. "That's criminal," he breathed, lifting you onto the counter like you weighed nothing. "An absolute crime against you." He stepped between your thighs, fingers tracing up to the hem of your shorts. "I need to fix this immediately." His mouth dragged along your jaw, your throat, lower. "Tell me everything, every detail." You tangled your fingers in his hair. "I think I'd rather you improvise." He groaned against your shoulder, already sinking to his knees. "Your wish is my command. And I promise you'll finish this time â„"
Usopp
You waited until he was tinkering with one of his gadgets, tongue poking out in concentration, before you struck. "Hey, Usopp. I had a dream about you." He didn't look up, fiddling with a tiny spring. "Was I saving a whole island? Fighting a sea king? I do that a lot in people's dreams, you know." You hummed, moving closer. "Actuallllyy, you were in my bed. On top of me. Making me say your name over and over." A spring went flying. His whole body froze, and when he finally turned to face you, his cheeks were burning crimson. "You--What--I was--Huh!?"
You could see him short-circuiting. "We didn't make it past you pinning my hands down before I woke up though," you continued, letting your gaze drag down his body and back up. "Such a shame." He made a strangled noise. "You're messing with me. This is a prank! You're pranking me right now!!" You closed the distance between you, backing him against his workbench. "Does this feel like a prank?" You took his hands and placed them on your hips. His fingers gripped reflexively. "Oh god," he whispered, voice cracking. "Oh god, this is real." You leaned in until your lips brushed his ear. "Want to help me see how it ends?~" His hands were already pulling you closer. "I have absolutely no idea what I'm doing but yes, yes, absolutely yes."
Franky
He was adjusting something on his arm, metal clicking into place, when you dropped onto the bench beside him. "Guess what? Had a dream about you last night." He grinned without looking up. "Course you did. Hard not to dream about a SUPER guy like me." You traced a finger along the seam where steel met skin on his bicep. "You had me bent over your workbench. Those big hands of yours holding me so tight I couldn't move." The clicking stopped and he looked at you, behind his sunglasses you could see his eyebrows climbing. "Come again?"
"Didn't make it that far unfortunately..." you implied subtley, pressing your thigh against his. "Woke up right when you were telling me how pretty I looked under you." A full-body shudder ran through him, and when he spoke, "That so?" His massive hand closed over your thigh, squeezing before he lifted you onto his lap, settling you so you could feel exactly what your words had done to him. "Sounds like your subconscious knows what it wants," he said as his mouth found your neck. "And baby, I am a craftsman. I don't leave projects unfinished." Your hips rolled against his and he groaned, grip tightening on your curves. "I'll make sure you get to the SUPER ending this time around."
Trafalgar Law
He was halfway through a medical text when you sat on the edge of his bed, waiting for him to acknowledge you. He didn't. You expected that. "I had a dream about you last night." His eyes stayed fixed on the page. "Congratulations." You lay back against his pillows, letting your shirt ride up. "You were being so mean in it. Had my wrists pinned above my head with one hand. Kept telling me I had to behave." His reading slowed. You could tell because his eyes stopped moving. "Every time I got close, you'd pull back and wait until I calmed down. Over and over. Hell, I was practically crying by the end..."
Silence stretched. Then he closed the book, removed his hat, and set both aside. "And why are you telling me this because..." His voice was quiet. You recognized that tone and smirked to yourself. "Because I thought maybe you'd want see if you could do better." He moved then, one hand pressing your shoulder, pushing you down into the mattress when you tried to rise. His face hovered above yours, utterly impassive except for the heat in his gaze. "You came in here to tease me." His thumb traced a slow circle against your hip. "Interrupting my reading. Provoking me." His knee pushed your thighs apart. "I don't think you've thought this through..."
Portgas D. Ace
He was sprawled out beside you, half-asleep and radiating heat like a furnace, when you rolled onto your side and poked his cheek. "Hey. I had a dream about you." His eyes cracked open, lazy and unfocused. "Mmm. Good dream?" You traced a finger down his chest, watching goosebumps rise despite the warmth of his skin. "You could say that, you had me pinned against the wall of your cabin. Couldn't keep your hands off of me." He was fully awake now, dark eyes tracking the movement of your fingers. "And you kept telling me how good I felt. Wouldn't let me look away from you the whole time~"
He caught your wandering hand, bringing your fingers to his mouth and pressing a kiss to your knuckles. The playful grin you expected didn't come, as he watched you intensely instead. "That all?" His voice had dropped lower. "You woke me up just to tell me half a story?" He tugged you closer, rolling so you were beneath him, his muscle and heat pressing you into the mattress. "Seems a bit unfair." His mouth found the hollow of your throat. "I think you need to tell me the rest." You arched into him. "Maaaybee I don't remember the rest." He laughed against your skin, the sound rough and promising. "Then I guess we'll have to make something up as we go." His hips settled between your thighs and your mind went blank. "Don't worry though. I've got plenty of ideas."
Sabo
He was reviewing reports at his desk, gloves off, sleeves rolled to his elbows, and the sight of his bare forearms was what finally made you speak. "Oh yeah, I had a dream about you last night." He hummed, not looking up. "Hopefully not a nightmare." You crossed the room and settled yourself on the edge of his desk, pushing papers aside. That got his attention. "You had me right here. On this desk. Though you wearing more clothes than I would personally prefer." His pen stopped moving. "And you kept your gloves on the whole time."
His eyes lifted to meet yours, and the polite smile he usually wore had vanished entirely. "You're sitting on classified intelligence." His voice was mild, but his gaze wasn't. "I know." You leaned back on your palms, letting your legs fall open just slightly. "Seemed important enough to interrupt." He set the pen down, stood up, and stepped between your knees. His bare hands settled on your thighs, "You came all the way here to tell me about a dream..." One hand slid higher. "Sat on my work..." Higher still. "And now you're all but presenting yourself to me." He leaned in until his mouth brushed your ear. "I think you wanted more than just to talk about it." You grabbed his collar and pulled him closer. "Took you long enough to figure that out." His laugh was soft and heated. "Let me make up for the delay."
Bartolomeo
He was carving your name into the railing of his ship when you found him, adding another heart to the collection already scarred into the wood. His face was flushed, movements frantic, and when he saw you he nearly dropped the knife. "I had a dream about you!!!" he blurted before you could speak. "We were right here under the stars and you were leaning on my shoulder and then I kissed you and it was perfect and then I woke up and I can't stop thinking about it so I had to carve more hearts because--" He ran out of air, chest heaving, ears crimson.
You took the knife from his trembling fingers and set it aside. "That's where yours ended? The kiss?" He nodded desperately. You stepped closer, backing him against the railing, and guided his hands to your hips. "I had the same dream. But mine... didn't stop there." His fingers dug into your curves. "It didn't?" You shook your head slowly, mouth grazing his jaw. "Mine ended with me on top of you. And I woke up praising your name." A broken whine escaped him as he hauled you against him, one hand sliding to the small of your back, the other cupping your face. "Common, I need to know how it goes!" he managed, voice wrecked. "Please--Show me what shoulda happened next." You nipped at his bottom lip. "Only if you'll be a good boy for me."
Kin'emon
He was polishing his blade when you knelt beside him, close enough that your shoulder brushed his. He acknowledged you with a dignified nod, ever the proper samurai. "I dreamt about you last night." His hand paused mid-stroke. "Oh? I hope it was an honorable vision." You let your fingers trail along his knee. "You were very honorable. At first." The cloth stopped moving. "You had loosened my robes yourself. Kept telling me how beautiful I looked spread out beneath you. Called me yours between every kiss." A strangled sound escaped his throat and his ears went pink.
"That isâŠ" He cleared his throat roughly. "That is quite a dream." His composure was cracking, you could see it in the tightness of his jaw, the way his knuckles had gone white around the hilt of his sword. "I couldn't help but wake up wanting," you murmured, leaning closer until your lips brushed the shell of his ear. "Wanting you~â„" The blade clattered to the floor. His hands seized your waist with a desperation that contradicted his carefully maintained dignity, pulling you into his lap. "You should not say such things to a man and expect him to remain composed." His mouth found yours hungerily. "I am bound by honor to make reality exceed your dreams. Allow me to demonstrate my dedication."
Corazon
He was half-asleep on the couch, when you settled on top of him. His eyes cracked open, that gentle smile finding you before he noticed your expression. "I had a dream about you last night." He tilted his head, curious. "You finally stopped being so careful with me. Had me underneath you like I have you right now. Your hands weren't gentle either. And you kept your mouth on my throat so you could feel every sound I made."
He sat up slowly, and you watched him press two fingers to your lips. The world outside went silent, that familiar hush of his power cocooning you both. But inside the bubble, sound remained. "Say that again." His voice was rough from disuse, and the sound of it made your thighs press together. "I want to hear you say it when no one else can." You rolled your hips against his, making his breath catch. "I dreamed about you losing control," you murmured against his jaw. " And I woke up aching for it." His hands gripped your hips, pulling you flush against him. "No one can hear us now, dear." he said, low and intent. "So don't hold back. I want every sound you make."

Kid
CW : praise, rough sex, Kid is kind of⊠cute?
Kid is always in charge in the bedroom. Manhandling you. Commanding you. Ordering you around. If he says âon all foursâ, you obey. If he shows you the floor with one finger, you kneel. When he orders âopen your mouthâ you comply and let him fuck your mouth. And when he grunts âswallowâ, you swallow his thick cum, each single drop.
And youâre totally fine with this. Because you've never been someone who likes taking initiative in bed. What you enjoy is to submit and obey, to indulge in a moment where you can rely on someone else.Â
So today is a day like all the others. It started with his eyes darkening with desire, and then, he ordered you to take off all your clothes and to lay on the bed. Then, he pushed down his pants and underwear in one go, his hard, thick cock springing free. The whole time, he watched you, waiting for him like a good little sub. He said âspread your legs for meâ and you obeyed.Â
Now, heâs caging you in with his muscular arms, grinding against you, letting you feel his hardness. He wants to fuck you. Hard. As always. âGonna fuckinâ ruin ya now,â he warns, bitting your neck, a little yelp escaping from your lips.
âAlways so good for me, mh,â he whispers as you spread your thighs wider to allow his huge body to fit between your legs. You hold onto his shoulders tightly as he drives his cock into you in one deep thrust. His hips slap against yours. Each one of your little noises are music to his ears. âTakinâ me all the way in, my good little sub,â he praises
âKeep makinâ those cute lil noises for me, yes?â He asks, fucking you so hard the bed is creaking loudly. His metallic arm is pinning you so roughly you cannot move, and with his other hand, he grabs your waist firmly to drive himself into you with an animalistic, almost feral pace.
Youâre driving him crazy. Taking him so well. Oh, he loves feeling his cock buried balls deep inside of you. The way you open your legs even more for him. He holds you so tightly, you will have bruises on your waist tomorrow, but you donât mind. Eyes shining with lust, Kid takes a look at his cock sliding in and out, opening you with each thrust.Â
And suddenly, you donât know why, you take an initiative for the first time. Itâs sweet. Maybe nothing for others. But for you, itâs a big move. You softly cup Kidâs face, kissing him before whispering to his ears how much you love him and how good heâs making you feel.Â
Kid almost freezes and stops his thrusts as he watches you. You never did something like this. Even kisses are always initiated by him. He watches your cute face, his lipstick smeared on your lips, and he catches your bottom lip between his teeth and nearly purrs. âDamn, what was that?âÂ
Scared you may have done something wrong, you exclaim âIâm sorry!âÂ
âShut upâ, his words are rough, as always, but there is a rare tenderness in his tone. He releases your lips and slowly returns to his pounding. Slower, but deeper. As he watches your cute face, he snarls. âFuck, youâre so cuteâ
He quickly flips you over, burying your face in the pillow and nuzzling his head against your neck, leaving a hickey on it. When his hips start moving again, itâs almost⊠gentle. Gentle for him.Â
âSo fuckinâ cute,â he grunts against your skin.
Katakuri
CW : food play, rough sex, praises, size kinkÂ
The Sweet Commander is not really sweet today. Driving himself mercilessly into you. Licking your chest covered with chocolate. It all started with a cute breakfast in bed; he was feeding you with some donuts, and suddenly, he took the last bite and kissed you. Starving for something more than donuts and chocolate.Â
The bed is creaking and with each thrust, the plate with the last donuts trembles on the mattress.
His intense gaze locks onto yours; he bites your shoulder, his sharpened teeth making you whine a little.Â
âYou taste so good. Feel so tight.â He grunts, his huge hands firmly gripping your hips as he maintains control. His fat cock is making you squirm with each thrust and he holds you in place, gentle but always strict. âTake it, sweetie. I love how you squeeze around my cock.âÂ
He hits deep inside of you. Controlling you. Making you feel so good, youâre almost numb. Whenever he kisses you, you melt inside, the sweet taste of the donuts and chocolate still on Katakuriâs lips.Â
You hold onto him, your body jolting with each thrust. It feels like heâs stretching you wide open, filling you up to the brim. âFuck so tight around me, itâs almost unfair⊠for youâÂ
Heâs about to grab your legs and put them on his shoulders to fuck you even deeper, but then, his eyebrows furrow.Â
You move your arm to grab the last donut and gently lend it to him and he pauses mid-thrust, opening his mouth to take a bite. A low chuckle escapes his lips as he chews the donut, moving slowly inside you.Â
âMh, I donât know whoâs the sweetest. You, or this donut.âÂ
Blame it on his Haki, but you didnât catch him by surprise at all. He knew what you were about to do. But you were so cute in his vision, so he just pretended he didnât see it coming.
Bartolomeo
CW : bitting, slight blood, dirty talk, rough sex, slight soft sex at the end
The brightening sun is illuminating the bedroom and reflecting Bartolomeoâs big septum as he fucks you. Hard. His large, large length stretches you open, just for him. Biting your neck, your shoulders, leaving marks, bruises. Licking the little drops of blood from where he bites too hard.Â
Youâre here, legs spread wide open with a pillow under your hips to lift them up. Bartolomeo always wants to be deep inside of you; he wants you to feel every single inch of his cock. He wants to hear the satisfying sound of skin slapping against skin.Â
You grab the headboard of the bed because he ordered you to do so and to not let go until he tells you to. And damn, youâre holding onto it like you were holding to your life.Â
Bartolomeo hands are gripping your hips tightly, holding you in place for his rough thrusts. âYou like that? You like being used hard by me?â
Youâre barely able to say âyesâ because you canât even catch your breath with his merciless pounding. âGood. Because Iâm gonna fuck you even harder now, better grab the headboard tightly.âÂ
One of his hands moves from your hips to your throat, applying just enough pressure to make breathing difficult but not impossible. And then he ravages you. âThatâs it. Take it deeper. Every. Single. Inch. My lovely little sub.âÂ
With each thrust, he bites you. Loving the way you scream for him. âSo fucking perfect. Taking my cock so well while I choke you.âÂ
Suddenly, without thinking, you stop holding the headboard and you trace his septum before reaching for his hair. Bartolomeo let go of your throat, surprised, even more when you finally wrap your arms around his neck, holding him tight and whispering to his ears. âBarto⊠You make me feel so good⊠I love you.âÂ
He pauses for a second before lifting himself up slightly to see your face all flushed. You caught him off guard. Now, his heart is pounding for an entirely different reason. âBaby,â he simply says, flushed.Â
He leans down and captures your lips in a sudden, deep kiss. When he pulls back, he grabs your chin. âI love how sub youâre. But youâre cute when youâre taking initiative.âÂ
As his pace slows down, his hips rolling instead of thrusting hard, he wraps his arms around your waist possessively, as if you were his most precious treasure. âNext time baby, I want you to take another initiative. I gonna lie down and you will do all the job. I wanna see you impaling yourself on my cock.â

DOFLOMINGOáŻâ
A Kindred Spirit in a Cruel World (3,176 words)
The salt-laced wind whipped strands of hair across your face as you gazed out at the endless expanse of the Grand Line. A gentle smile touched your lips, a familiar expression that rarely left your features. You were a soul of unwavering kindness, a beacon of warmth in a world often cloaked in shadows. For you, true joy came from the simple act of giving â a piece of candied fruit to a child with wide, hopeful eyes, a comforting word to a stranger in distress, or even, if the need arose, a selfless offering of yourself, an organ donated without a second thought to save a life. Your compassion was boundless, your empathy a deep well from which you drew strength and offered solace.
People often wondered how someone like you, so inherently good and giving, found yourself entangled with a man like Donquixote Doflamingo. He was everything you weren't â a force of nature driven by a chilling cruelty, a man who reveled in the suffering of others, who twisted lives for his own amusement. His laughter, a harsh, cackling sound, often sent shivers down the spines of even the bravest pirates, yet to you, it was merely the echo of a different kind of storm. You saw the broken boy beneath the flamboyant exterior, the scarred past that molded him into the monster he had become. And despite the vast chasm between your natures, a strange, undeniable bond had formed, pulling you deeper into his dangerous, unpredictable world. You were the sun to his moon, the calm to his chaos, a tender hand reaching out to touch the untouchable. But how long could such a fragile connection endure in the tumultuous currents of the New World, especially when one heart beat with boundless love and the other pulsed with unyielding darkness?
You were excellent at seeing. Not just with your eyes, but with your entire being. You saw the flicker of doubt behind a braggart's grin, the tremor in a bully's hand, the silent plea in a hardened criminal's eyes. This wasn't a skill you honed; it was an inherent part of you, a profound capacity for empathy that allowed you to connect with the raw, often hidden, core of another being. And it was this very quality, your boundless compassion, that had first snagged Doflamingo's attention, drawing him in like a moth to a dangerously bright flame.
He remembered the first time he truly saw it, or rather, felt it. It was on some forgotten island, a backwater where his crew had just finished asserting their dominance. The air was thick with the scent of smoke and fear, the usual aftermath of their arrival. Doflamingo was striding through the chaos, a predatory smirk plastered on his face, when he stopped. Not because he wanted to, but because you had. You were kneeling by a collapsed stall, not tending to a fallen comrade or assessing damage, but gently stroking the ruffled feathers of a terrified pigeon, murmuring soft, comforting words. A silly, insignificant bird, in the grand scheme of his brutal world, yet you treated it with a tenderness that defied the very atmosphere he cultivated. He watched, utterly perplexed, as you then offered a small, broken piece of bread to the creature, your eyes shining with a pure, unadulterated kindness that seemed to pierce through his carefully constructed armor of indifference.
It was infuriating. It was fascinating. It was, he grudgingly admitted to himself, captivating. Your inherent goodness was a stark contrast to the ugliness he embodied, and for a time, that contrast intrigued him. He found himself drawn to it, to the way your empathy softened the sharp edges of his world, to the bizarre comfort of your compassion, even when he pretended to scorn it. Heâd test it, push against it, only to find it unyielding, unwavering. And a strange, possessive feeling began to fester within him â a desire to keep that purity close, to have it reflect back at him, a twisted mirror to his own depravity.
But now, that same boundless empathy, that unending compassion, was a festering wound, a constant, irritating reminder of everything he wasnât and everything he refused to be. Your ability to see past the facade, to offer understanding where he craved fear, to forgive where he delighted in vengeance, had curdled into a bitter resentment. It was a weakness he couldn't tolerate, a light that burned too brightly in his shadowed existence, threatening to expose the very depths of his cruelty. It was what he loved and loathed, the very essence of you that both bound him and drove him to the brink of fury.
He remembered it like it was yesterday, the memory vivid and biting. It was Baby 5. Sheâd been careless, as usual, taking a hit during a skirmish that was meant for someone else, her body crumpling in a most un-Doflamingo-like display of vulnerability. The sight of her, pale and bleeding on the grimy deck of their ship, usually elicited nothing more than a disgusted sneer from him. A weakness. A liability.
But then you were there.
You moved with a quiet urgency he found both perplexing and infuriating. Your hands, usually so gentle, were surprisingly steady as you knelt beside Baby 5, ignoring the blood that stained your clothes. Your touch wasn't clinical or detached; it was infused with that damned, unwavering compassion that burned him. You didn't just tend to the wound; you murmured soft reassurances, your voice a soothing balm against the harsh reality of their world. He watched, transfixed, as you pushed strands of hair from Baby 5's tear-streaked face, your eyes filled with an unbearable, soft sorrow for her pain.
He saw the way Baby 5, usually so desperate for validation, melted into your touch, her rigid posture softening, her sobs subsiding into quiet whimpers. You treated her not as a tool, or a subordinate, or a nuisance, but as a person, a fragile being in need of comfort. It was a scene that twisted something cold and hard in his gut. A part of him, the part he brutally suppressed, wanted to reach out, to understand that profound connection you effortlessly forged. But another, larger part, the one that governed his entire existence, raged.
Weakness. Thatâs all he saw. Your empathy was a gaping hole, a vulnerability he couldn't comprehend, let alone tolerate. It was a stark reminder of the sentimentality he'd long ago excised from his own being, a betrayal of everything he stood for. And in that moment, watching you pour your boundless kindness into someone he considered expendable, the first tendrils of that bitter, simmering hatred began to wrap around his twisted heart. It was a contradiction, a paradox he couldn't reconcile: the very thing that drew him to you, the very thing he secretly craved, was also the most potent source of his disdain.
God, you were the source of his anger, the very wellspring from which his fury flowed. Your existence was a constant, irritating contradiction to his own. It wasn't just your kindness in general, but your courage to openly display empathy and compassion right there, in front of him, that truly set his teeth on edge. It was a defiance, a silent rebellion against the cruel world he'd so painstakingly built around himself. Heâd watch you, offering a gentle hand to a whimpering child, speaking softly to a terrified subordinate, or even, once, just gazing with a profound, aching sorrow at the destruction heâd wrought, and a cold, sharp rage would coil in his gut.
He hated you for it. Hated the way your inherent goodness shone, unbidden and untamed, like a defiant sunbeam piercing through his carefully constructed darkness. He hated that you saw beyond the monster, that you refused to cower, that your compassion was so absolute it made his own barren existence feel even colder. It was a mirror reflecting his own twisted soul, showing him everything he'd lost, everything he'd sacrificed, everything heâd brutally suppressed to become the man he was.
Yet, it was the same damned thing that had drawn him to you in the first place. Like a moth to a flame, he'd been inexplicably pulled into your orbit. Your unwavering kindness, your fearless empathy â it was an anomaly he couldn't comprehend, a challenge he couldn't resist. Heâd wanted to possess it, perhaps even to corrupt it, to see if he could break that unbreakable spirit. Heâd wanted to understand it, to tear apart the enigma of your compassion, to find its weakness, its breaking point. But you never broke. You simply continued to be you, radiating that infuriating, mesmerizing warmth, a constant thorn in his side and a strange, undeniable anchor in his chaotic world. It was a maddening paradox: the thing he despised most about you was also the very thing that had, against all reason, brought him to his knees.
The air in the opulent, yet often chilling, halls of Doflamingo's palace crackled with an unspoken tension. You had been tending to one of his crew, a low-ranking grunt who'd caught a nasty fever, and your quiet ministrations had, as always, drawn Doflamingo's gaze. He watched from the shadows, a familiar knot of conflicting emotions tightening in his chest. Your effortless kindness, your pure, unadulterated compassion â it was a constant affront to his very being, a soft hand gently pressing against the jagged edges of his soul.
When you finally straightened up, he was there, blocking your path. His usual predatory smirk was replaced by something colder, more volatile. "Fufufu... still playing the innocent healer, are we?" His voice was a low growl, laced with a familiar mockery.
You met his gaze, your own eyes unwavering. "Someone needed help, Doffy."
"Help?" he scoffed, taking a step closer, his tall frame looming over yours. "Such a pathetic sentiment. Don't you see, little dove? This world doesn't reward kindness. It devours it. And you... you practically bleed it." His hand, usually so quick to unleash devastating strings, reached out, not to strike, but to brush a lock of hair from your face. The touch was feather-light, yet it felt charged with an unbearable weight. "It infuriates me."
A beat of silence hung in the air, thick with unspoken truths. You knew what he meant. You always did. Your empathy, the very core of your being, was a constant challenge to his cruel philosophy.
"It infuriates me," he repeated, his voice dropping to a near whisper, "how you can look at the ugliness of this world, at me, and still find... something. How you can offer that soft hand, that gentle gaze, when all I've ever known is taking and destroying." His eyes, usually hidden behind his sunglasses, were now piercing, raw, and for the first time, you saw a flicker of something akin to vulnerability, a deep-seated confusion that warred with his inherent cruelty. "I hate it."
The words were harsh, blunt, an honest confession of his bitter resentment. And yet, in that moment, the raw honesty of it was almost disarming. You didn't flinch. You didn't argue. You simply stood there, your compassion a silent, unyielding force against his venom.
Then, just as the anger seemed to reach its peak, a different kind of storm brewed in his eyes. His gaze dropped from yours to your lips, a sudden, almost desperate hunger replacing the fury. He leaned in, slowly, deliberately, his breath ghosting across your face.
"I hate you for it," he rasped, his voice rough with an emotion you couldn't quite name, "but I can't... I can't stay away."
And then, before you could even process the words, his lips were on yours. It wasn't gentle. It was possessive, almost violent in its intensity, a desperate claim. It was the kiss of a man consumed by a maddening contradiction, a torrent of anger and a desperate, undeniable yearning, all tangled up in the paradox of his twisted heart and your unwavering, infuriating kindness. In that kiss, the love and the hatred, the fascination and the revulsion, all collided, binding you to him in a dangerous, undeniable embrace.
The kiss had been a jarring shift, a violent tenderness that left you both reeling. Afterwards, Doflamingo had pulled away, his face a mask of conflict, and stalked off without another word, leaving you alone in the silent, echoing hall. This was the pattern of your relationship with him â intense bursts of raw emotion, followed by a tense, often suffocating silence.
You were his, in his own twisted sense of the word. He introduced you as such, a subtle possessiveness in his tone that brooked no argument. You were a permanent fixture in his life, a strange, soft anomaly in the Donquixote Familyâs brutal hierarchy. The crew, hardened by years of Doflamingo's rule, regarded you with a mixture of confusion and cautious respect. Theyâd witnessed his volatile rages, his chilling indifference, yet you were the one person who could, at times, evoke something else from him â a flicker of something akin to worry, a strange, almost gentle touch, or even a fleeting, unguarded expression that vanished as quickly as it appeared.
For your part, you navigated his volatile nature with a blend of unwavering patience and quiet defiance. You wouldn't change who you were for him, and he, in turn, seemed to begrudgingly accept that. Heâd yell, heâd rage, heâd mock your bleeding-heart tendencies, but you would simply meet his tirades with a calm gaze, a soft rebuttal, or even, occasionally, a pointed silence that infuriated him more than any argument. Heâd test your compassion, presenting you with situations designed to break your spirit, to force you to acknowledge the "reality" of his world. Heâd make you witness acts of cruelty, hoping to see the idealism shatter in your eyes. But it never did. Instead, you'd find small, subversive ways to mitigate the damage, a whispered word of comfort, a hidden act of kindness, an almost imperceptible gesture of solace.
This constant push and pull was the core of your existence together. He thrived on power, on control, on instilling fear. You, on the other hand, sought to soothe, to understand, to alleviate suffering. It was a clash of fundamental forces, a storm and a calm, perpetually locked in a dangerous dance.
There were moments, rare and fleeting, when the "love" part of their relationship, however twisted, would surface. He would watch you as you slept, a strange, almost tender expression softening his usually sharp features. He'd pull you closer during a storm, the rough expanse of his arm a surprising comfort. He'd bring you rare trinkets, not as gifts of affection, but as tokens of possession, yet the act itself held a bizarre, almost endearing sincerity. And you, in turn, found yourself drawn to the wounded boy beneath the tyrannical facade, to the flicker of humanity he so desperately tried to extinguish. You loved him, not for what he was, but for what you believed he could be, for the glimpse of a tortured soul you occasionally saw in his eyes.
But then, just as quickly, the mask would snap back into place. The cruelty would resurface, the mocking laughter would echo, and the cold, hard reality of who Doflamingo truly was would assert itself. And in those moments, the hatred he held for your inherent goodness would flare anew, a constant reminder of the chasm between you. You were his greatest weakness and his most coveted possession, a constant source of both agonizing frustration and undeniable fascination. It was a love built on paradox, sustained by conflict, and perpetually teetering on the brink of beautiful destruction.
The sun dipped below the horizon, painting the sky in hues of violent orange and bruised purple, a fitting backdrop for the paradoxical life you shared with Doflamingo. Years had passed, marked by countless clashes of will, by his bouts of cruel amusement and your unwavering, stubborn kindness. Their relationship wasn't a fairytale, nor was it a conventional romance. It was a testament to the fact that sometimes, in the most unlikely of pairings, two vastly different individuals could, against all odds, find a way to make things work.
It wasn't that the toxicity vanished; it simply became a part of the air you breathed, a constant, low hum beneath the surface of your shared existence. Doflamingo still reveled in chaos, still inflicted pain, and still, at times, openly disdained your empathy. You, in turn, never stopped offering comfort, never stopped seeing the lost boy beneath the Celestial Dragon's veneer. But something had shifted, solidified into a bizarre, unspoken agreement.
He had learned, in his own twisted way, to tolerate your goodness. More than that, he had come to rely on it, though he would sooner tear out his own throat than admit it. Your presence was a grounding force, a silent barometer that measured his own volatile temper. When his fury threatened to consume everything, your calm presence, your steady gaze, was often the only thing that could anchor him, if only for a fleeting moment. He might scoff at your compassion, but he knew, deep down, that you were the only one who could truly see him, the only one who didn't fear him unconditionally, and perhaps, the only one who didn't want anything from him other than his flawed self.
And you? You had come to understand that Doflamingo's love was not a soft, gentle thing, but a fierce, possessive grip. It was in the way his hand would linger on your arm for a fraction too long, in the way he'd dismiss a threat against you with a chilling finality, or the almost imperceptible softening of his voice when you were truly distressed. You accepted that his world was one of shadows and blood, and you chose to illuminate your own small corner of it, a quiet defiance that he, surprisingly, came to respect. You weren't changing him, not fundamentally, but you were undeniably influencing him, softening the edges of his brutal regime in ways no one else ever could.
Their life together was a constant tightrope walk, a delicate balance between destruction and a strange, profound connection. There were no grand declarations of love, no idyllic moments under starry skies. Instead, it was in the shared silences, in the way he'd instinctively reach for your hand during a tense standoff, in the fierce protectiveness he unconsciously displayed. You were the quiet anchor to his storm, the gentle touch to his hardened cruelty, and in that complex interplay, you found your own unconventional version of forever.
The world might call your relationship toxic, and perhaps it was. But in the volatile, unforgiving expanse of the Grand Line, you and Doflamingo had forged a bond that, against all logic, endured. It was a love born of contradiction, sustained by unwavering acceptance, and ultimately, a testament to the fact that even the most disparate souls could find a way to fit, imperfectly but inextricably, together.
CROCODILE â.àłàż*
Where kindness meet cruelty (2,431)
You always saw the good in people, even when no one else did. Your heart was an open book, filled with empathy and a boundless capacity for kindness. You were the one who'd offer a comforting embrace to a weeping stranger, whispering words of encouragement until their tears subsided. Sacrificing your own well-being for another's happiness was simply second nature to you, a quiet act of devotion that defined who you were. In a world often steeped in cynicism, you were a beacon of unwavering compassion, a gentle soul whose presence brought warmth to even the coldest corners.
And then there was Crocodile. Your lover, and the jarring counterpoint to your own gentle nature. Where you offered solace, he dispensed harsh truths. Where you sought understanding, he wielded anger like a weapon. He was the shifting sands of a desert storm, unpredictable and unforgiving, a stark contrast to your own steady, calming presence. You, the compassionate secretary of the Cross Guild, found yourself drawn to the very man who embodied everything you weren't. It was a paradox, a love story etched in opposing shades, and yet, it was undeniably yours.
The docks of Nanohana were a chaotic symphony of shouts, creaking wood, and the salty tang of the sea. A young street urchin, no older than ten, stumbled, sending a cascade of oranges tumbling from their overloaded basket. The fruit rolled across the cobblestones, some squashed underfoot by hurried passersby. The child's lip trembled, tears welling in their eyes, a whimper escaping their throat.
You, ever the first to react, were already moving. Your steps were swift and light as you knelt beside the distraught child. "Oh, you poor thing," you murmured, your voice a soothing balm amidst the din. You began to gather the remaining oranges, carefully brushing off the dirt before placing them back in the basket. "It's alright, we'll get these picked up. Don't you worry." You even pulled a small, pristine handkerchief from your pocket, gently dabbing at the child's tear-streaked face. You'd likely offer to buy them a new batch of oranges, or at the very least, share some of your own rations. You wouldn't just fix the problem; you'd mend the child's spirit.
Meanwhile, Crocodile would observe the scene from a short distance, a scowl deepening on his scarred face. His eyes, sharp and calculating, would assess the situation not with pity, but with a cold, almost detached analysis. He wouldn't lift a finger to help. Instead, he'd bark, "Get up, you sniveling brat! Crying won't put those oranges back in the basket. Learn to hold onto your belongings, or you'll starve." He might even kick a stray orange further away, not out of maliciousness, but as a twisted form of tough love, a brutal lesson in self-reliance. For him, the child's misfortune wasn't an opportunity for kindness, but a chance for a harsh, unforgettable lesson about the unforgiving nature of the world. He'd tell you later that coddling only bred weakness, that true strength came from enduring hardship alone.
The docks incident was a stark, undeniable fissure in their shared reality. It was a clear line drawn in the sand, illustrating precisely where your unwavering empathy diverged from Crocodile's unyielding pragmatism. You'd spent the rest of that afternoon ensuring the child was truly alright, even managing to convince a local vendor to give them a few extra oranges, while Crocodile watched, his arms crossed, a silent, disapproving observer.
Yet, despite these glaring differences, you made it work. It wasn't always easy, and there were countless silent battles fought in the space between your intertwined fingers. But moments of unexpected tenderness, like scattered desert blooms, punctuated their harsh landscape.
You remember one particularly rough night in Alabasta, the wind howling like a banshee through the desert, whipping sand against their temporary shelter. You were shivering, despite the worn blanket wrapped tightly around you. Crocodile, ever alert, seemed to sense your discomfort without a word passing between them. He didn't offer a platitude, or even a direct question. Instead, he simply shifted closer, his large frame radiating a surprising amount of warmth. He draped his own heavy cloak over your shoulders, its rough fabric a stark contrast to the softness of his subtle gesture. He never acknowledged it, never mentioned it the next day, but the quiet act spoke volumes. It was in these small, unspoken gestures that his version of affection manifestedâa protective instinct, a silent acknowledgment of your presence and comfort, even if it was buried beneath layers of gruffness.
Another time, after a particularly grueling Cross Guild meeting, you found yourself overwhelmed by the endless paperwork and the constant tension that simmered between the members. You were slumped over your desk, a headache throbbing behind your eyes. Crocodile entered, a cloud of cigar smoke preceding him. He usually had a biting comment or a new demand. But that day, he simply pulled up a chair opposite you. He didn't speak. He just sat there, meticulously cleaning his hook, the rhythmic scrape of metal against leather the only sound in the room. You didn't realize how much you needed that quiet, undemanding presence until he was there. It wasn't comfort in the traditional sense, but it was his comfortâa shared silence that somehow eased the pressure in your head and the weight on your shoulders. It was in these moments that you truly understood how deeply intertwined your lives had become, a testament to a bond forged not in similarity, but in the acceptance of profound differences.
The quiet moments, the ones where the world's chaos faded into the background, became the bedrock of your relationship. You learned to read the subtle shifts in Crocodile's demeanor, the slight tightening around his eyes that signaled a flicker of concern, or the rare, almost imperceptible softening of his jaw when he genuinely approved of something you'd done. And he, in his own gruff way, came to rely on your presence, on the gentle order you brought to the tumultuous operations of the Cross Guild, and perhaps, to his own turbulent mind.
You often found yourself sifting through stacks of bounty posters in his office, organizing the chaos of wanted criminals and their ever-increasing prices. He'd be hunched over his own desk, a plume of cigar smoke curling around his head, ostensibly engrossed in a map or a strategy document. But you knew he was aware of your every movement, the soft rustle of paper, the quiet hum you sometimes made when you were deeply focused. Heâd never admit it, but your steady, calming presence was a quiet anchor in his storm-tossed life.
One evening, a fierce storm raged outside, rattling the windows of their temporary headquarters. Rain lashed down in sheets, and the wind howled like a hungry beast. The power flickered, plunging the room into momentary darkness before sputtering back to life. You jumped, startled, a small gasp escaping your lips. Crocodile, who had been observing the storm with an almost casual indifference, turned his head. He didn't say anything, but his gaze lingered on you for a beat longer than usual. Then, almost imperceptibly, he reached out and flicked a switch on a small, oil-burning lantern he kept on his desk, its warm, steady glow pushing back against the encroaching shadows. It was a simple act, yet it spoke volumes. It was his way of saying, "I'm here. You're safe."
You smiled then, a soft, genuine smile that reached your eyes. He didn't return it, of course, but you saw the briefest flicker in his own, a hint of something unreadable, perhaps even content. In that shared, silent moment, amidst the raging storm and the world's cruel indifference, you knew, unequivocally, that your contrasting souls had found an unlikely, yet unbreakable, harmony. You were the light, he was the shadow, and together, you cast a unique silhouette against the vast, unforgiving expanse of the Grand Line.
Crocodile would never admit it, not even to himself, but your relentless kindness was a persistent, inconvenient anomaly in his carefully constructed world of cynicism. He viewed emotions as weaknesses, vulnerabilities to be exploited, yet your boundless empathy chipped away at his hardened resolve in ways he couldn't comprehend, let alone control. It was like a constant, gentle pressure against a rock, slowly, imperceptibly eroding its sharp edges.
He'd often scoff at your bleeding-heart tendencies, muttering about sentimentality being a burden in the Grand Line. He'd witness you offering a stray dog a portion of your own meal, or patiently listening to a tearful merchant lamenting their losses, and a muscle in his jaw would tick. It wasn't anger, not precisely. It was⊠disquiet. Your actions defied his every belief about survival, about the ruthless efficiency required to thrive in a world that devoured the weak.
One blistering afternoon in Alabasta, you both found yourselves navigating the dusty streets of a small desert town, en route to a discreet meeting. The air was thick with the scent of spices and the distant sound of a bazaar. As you passed a narrow alley, a faint, mewling sound caught your ear. Tucked away in the shadows, a tiny kitten, no bigger than your palm, lay curled on the grimy sand, its fur matted, its ribs starkly visible. It was shivering, despite the heat.
Without a moment's hesitation, you knelt, extending a gentle hand. The kitten, wary, flattened itself further, but you remained still, your voice a soft, reassuring murmur. "Hey there, little one," you cooed, your fingers slowly, carefully reaching out to stroke its head. It flinched, then, surprisingly, leaned into your touch, letting out a weak purr.
Crocodile stopped, his shadow falling over you both. He watched, his golden eyes narrowed, a mixture of disdain and something unreadable in their depths. He half-expected you to leave it, to continue on your way. Instead, you carefully scooped up the trembling creature, cradling it against your chest.
"We can't just leave it, Crocodile," you said, your voice quiet but firm, not even looking at him as you began to gently clean the kitten's matted fur with a damp cloth you always carried. "It's starving. It won't last the night."
He let out a low, exasperated grunt. "It's a stray, Y/N. This isn't a charity mission. We have business." His words were sharp, cutting, but you noticed he didn't move to stop you. He merely stood there, a formidable, unyielding presence, observing your tender ministrations.
You didn't argue. You simply continued to comfort the kitten, your fingers stroking its tiny head until its purrs grew stronger. You knew he wouldn't outright forbid it, not when you looked at him with that earnest, unwavering gaze. He'd grouse, he'd mock, but he wouldn't force you to abandon it.
Later, back at your temporary lodgings, you found a small, chipped bowl on the floor, filled with water and a few scraps of dried meat. The kitten, now somewhat revived, was cautiously lapping at the water. Crocodile was nowhere to be seen, but the message was clear. He hadn't asked about the kitten, hadn't acknowledged its presence beyond his initial protests. Yet, the bowl was there, a silent, grudging concession to your persistent heart. It was a vexing, illogical feeling for him, this involuntary response to your empathy. He understood power, control, ambition. But your quiet, unwavering kindness? That was an enigma he was still, against his will, trying to decipher.
Years passed, measured not by calendars, but by the relentless pursuit of power, the fleeting alliances, and the dust of countless islands. The Cross Guild grew, its influence spreading like a desert storm, and through it all, you remained at Crocodile's side, the unwavering constant in his tumultuous existence. The kitten, long grown into a sleek, healthy cat, often curled on your desk, a silent, furry testament to that long-ago moment in Alabasta and to Crocodile's begrudging, unspoken tolerance.
He never softened, not in the way one might expect. The scowl rarely left his face, his words remained sharp, and his ambition burned as fiercely as ever. But something shifted. The exasperated grunts became less frequent, the cynical remarks sometimes carried a faint, almost imperceptible hint of dry amusement. He still chastised you for your "naiveté," but the bite in his voice was tempered by a strange, almost possessive undertone.
It was during a tense standoff with a rival crew on a remote, rain-swept island. A young, inexperienced crew member, overwhelmed by the sudden violence, froze, directly in the path of an incoming attack. Your eyes widened in alarm, and without thinking, you moved. Not to fight, but to push the young man out of harm's way, leaving yourself momentarily exposed.
Time seemed to slow. Crocodile, already engaged with the opposing captain, saw it all. His golden eyes, usually cold and calculating, flashed with something akin to raw, visceral panic. For a fraction of a second, his guard wavered, a dangerous lapse. But before he could curse, before he could intervene, you had already completed your selfless act, tumbling to the ground with the crew member, both of you narrowly avoiding a devastating blow.
The fight raged on, but the brief, unguarded look on Crocodile's face spoke volumes. It was not anger at your recklessness, not disdain for your perceived weakness. It was a fleeting, terrifying glimpse of fear â fear for you.
Later, when the dust settled and the enemy lay defeated, you stood a little shaken, but unharmed. Crocodile approached, his cloak billowing around him, a silent, imposing figure. He didn't ask if you were hurt. He didn't offer praise. He simply reached out, his hook glinting, and with surprising gentleness, he nudged a stray strand of hair from your face. His eyes, devoid of their usual malice, met yours. For a long moment, an eternity in their complex dynamic, there was no anger, no judgment, only a quiet, profound understanding.
He might never articulate it, but in that silent gesture, in the way he allowed your kindness to exist unfettered in his brutal world, was his ultimate acceptance. You were the anomaly, the inconvenient truth, the softest edge to his sharpest ambition. You were the one who saw the flickering good in a heart he insisted was barren. And perhaps, in a way he would never acknowledge, you were the only one who could truly anchor the shifting sands of Sir Crocodile. You were his balance, his contradiction, and his most fiercely, silently guarded treasure. Their story wasn't one of change, but of profound, unwavering acceptance of each other's unchanging, contrasting natures.
KATAKURI đ Ëđ° â
The flutter and the stone (2,593 words)
A warmth emanated from you, a silent, comforting glow that drew people in like moths to a flame. You were the kind of soul whoâd offer a gentle hand to someone stumbling, not just to pick them up, but to steady them until they found their footing again. Sacrifice wasnât a foreign concept to you; it was a quiet understanding, a willingness to put anotherâs well-being above your own, even if it meant hardship for yourself. You were truly one of the best, a beacon of empathy in a world that often felt devoid of it.
But then there was Katakuri. He was a stark contrast to your vibrant spirit, a calm and serious presence, his emotions carefully guarded behind an impenetrable facade. An arranged engagement by Big Mom herself had sealed your fate, weaving your compassionate nature into the fabric of his stoic world. Now, you found yourself living alongside him on Whole Cake Island, the sweet, saccharine air a strange accompaniment to the quiet, almost detached reality you shared. You, a soul brimming with kindness, and he, a man of unwavering composure, were bound together in an intricate dance orchestrated by a Yonko.
He'd expected a hindrance, a constant, buzzing annoyance orchestrated by his mother. That's what most of these arranged marriages were: a liability, a weakness he'd have to account for. He'd envisioned someone fragile, prone to tears and dramatics, clinging to him for protection, constantly seeking attention he had no desire to give. He'd braced himself for endless chatter, for a person who would disrupt the rigid order he'd meticulously crafted in his life. The idea of sharing his space, his very existence, with someone so utterly out of sync with his own stoic nature had been, frankly, irritating. Heâd prepared for the worst, for a constant drain on his already limited patience, a shadow of inconvenience following him everywhere.
But you⊠you were different. You were a quiet warmth, not a demanding heat. You didn't cling; you simply existed, a gentle presence that somehow softened the edges of his perpetually sharp world. The "endless chatter" he'd anticipated never materialized. Instead, you offered thoughtful observations, quiet support, or sometimes, just a comfortable silence. Heâd found you, more than once, tending to a wounded crewmate with a tenderness that made even the gruffest pirates soften. You'd share your meals, offer comfort without being asked, and your eyes held a depth of understanding that surprised him. You didn't demand his attention, but your quiet acts of kindness drew it anyway.
You didn't just shine; you fluttered. You were a vibrant, living thing, a soft current of light that seemed to effortlessly navigate the harsh realities of Whole Cake Island. He found himself, against his better judgment, observing you. How you'd hum a soft tune while organizing supplies, how your laughter, soft and genuine, could cut through the usual cacophony of the island. Heâd catch himself, on rare occasions, feeling a faint, unfamiliar stir in his chest when youâd offer a gentle smile his way. He'd expected a burden, a heavy weight to bear. What he got was⊠something akin to light. A light he hadn't known he needed, but now, he found himself, in his own silent way, watching, almost waiting, for its gentle, steady glow.
You had an uncanny knack for anticipating needs, a quiet magic that hummed beneath your gentle demeanor. Katakuri would find his favorite tea brewed just so in the mornings, a small, thoughtful gesture. Or, on days he was particularly swamped, he'd discover a meticulously packed lunch waiting for him â often including those subtly sweet mochi he favored, even though youâd never seen him eat them openly. It wasn't just for him, though. Your kindness was a boundless well. You'd often prepare extra portions, enough for his siblings, even a specially made sweet for Big Mom herself, always left in a place where it would be easily found, without any fanfare or expectation of thanks. You simply did.
One sweltering afternoon, a sudden, torrential downpour erupted over Whole Cake Island. Katakuri had been in a particularly intense training session, his usual stoicism even more pronounced as he pushed himself. Heâd barely paused for breath, let alone considered the oppressive heat or the sudden chill the rain brought. His siblings, too, were scattered across the sprawling complex, many caught off guard by the unexpected shift in weather.
As he finally wrapped up, Mochi sticking to his skin from the exertion, he started towards his usual post. But when he arrived, there was a small, steaming cup waiting. Not just for him, but several, strategically placed for others who would soon be arriving. It was a ginger-lemon tea, perfectly warm, with a subtle sweetness that cut through the humidity and offered a comforting heat against the sudden dampness. Beside it, a stack of freshly folded, dry towels.
You weren't there, of course. You never were, not to receive praise or acknowledgment. But the faint scent of ginger and lemon lingered, a silent testament to your presence, your unwavering thoughtfulness. Katakuri picked up the mug, the warmth seeping into his calloused hands. He took a slow sip, and for a fleeting moment, a faint, almost imperceptible easing of his perpetually tense shoulders could be observed. You just⊠knew. And you acted, a quiet force of nature, making the world around you a little bit softer, a little bit kinder, without ever being asked.
You continued to weave your quiet magic into the fabric of Whole Cake Island life, a gentle counterpoint to its often chaotic rhythms. Katakuri, for his part, found himself in uncharted territory. He was accustomed to calculating, to predicting, to controlling. But you, with your unassuming kindness and innate ability to simply be, defied all his expectations. He couldn't quite categorize you, couldn't fit you into any of his established frameworks. It was unsettling, yet⊠not entirely unpleasant.
One evening, after a particularly grueling day of territory patrols and dealing with a new batch of unruly subordinates, Katakuri returned to his private quarters. The air was heavy, the usual tension in his shoulders even more pronounced. He expected the familiar silence, the solitary decompression he always sought. Instead, the soft glow of a single lamp illuminated the room, and the scent of freshly brewed herbal tea, a blend he recognized as one that aided relaxation, wafted gently towards him.
You were there, of course, perched on a plush cushion, a book open in your lap. You looked up as he entered, your eyes, usually bright with warmth, holding a quiet understanding. You didn't speak, didn't offer effusive greetings or pointed questions about his day. You simply gestured to the steaming mug on his small table, then to another cushion opposite you.
He hesitated for a moment, an almost imperceptible flicker of surprise crossing his face. He'd never truly shared this space with anyone, not in this way. But the subtle invitation, devoid of any demand, was strangely compelling. He settled onto the cushion, his imposing form making the furniture seem almost fragile. He picked up the mug, the warmth a welcome contrast to the cold calculation that had dominated his day.
You returned to your book, yet your presence was anything but distant. It was a comfortable, silent companionship, a soothing balm to the weary edges of his mind. He found himself, for the first time in a long time, truly relaxing. The tension in his jaw eased, his shoulders lowered almost imperceptibly. He didn't know what to call this feeling, this quiet sense of calm that settled over him. But as he sipped his tea, watching the gentle rise and fall of your chest as you read, a thought, foreign and unexpected, drifted through his mind: perhaps this arranged marriage wasn't a burden after all. Perhaps it was⊠something else entirely. Something he was only just beginning to understand.
The silent tea-drinking evenings became a quiet ritual, a comfortable pause in the ceaseless rhythm of Whole Cake Island. Katakuri found himself anticipating them, the subtle shift in his mood almost imperceptible even to him. Heâd never craved companionship, never sought it out, but your presence was different. It wasnât a demand, but an invitation, a soft echo that resonated within his usually unyielding self.
The little interactions began to accumulate, tiny threads weaving a tapestry of connection. One blustery morning, you found him meticulously patching a tear in his scarf, a rare moment of vulnerability in his otherwise flawless exterior. You didnât comment, didnât pry, but simply offered a spool of stronger thread from your own sewing kit. He grunted in acknowledgment, a sound that in anyone else might have been dismissive, but from him, it was a quiet acceptance. Later, he noticed the mend was virtually invisible, stronger than before.
Another time, during a particularly chaotic family meeting, a flurry of paper charts went tumbling, scattering across the floor. Before anyone else could react, you were already gathering them, your movements swift and efficient, organizing them back into their proper order without a single word of complaint or even a look for approval. Katakuri, observing from the corner, found a flicker of something akin to admiration stir within him. You werenât just kind; you were competent, resourceful, and utterly unassuming in your helpfulness.
He even started to notice your preferences. The way you always took your tea with a dash of honey, not sugar. The quiet smile that played on your lips when you managed to coax a wilting plant back to life. Heâd find himself leaving a small, perfectly ripe fruit on your table, or ensuring a particularly comfortable blanket was draped over your favored reading chair. These were not grand gestures, not yet. They were quiet acknowledgments, a recognition of your unique presence, and a subtle, almost unconscious desire to contribute to your comfort, just as you so readily contributed to the comfort of everyone around you.
This wasn't just an arranged marriage anymore. The rigid lines of their initial agreement were blurring, softening with each shared silence, each unspoken understanding. It was becoming something else, something real and unexpected. A quiet, blossoming partnership rooted not in duty, but in a burgeoning, unfamiliar warmth.
The shift was subtle, almost imperceptible to anyone but Katakuri himself. His siblings, accustomed to his imposing, unyielding presence, might have noticed a slight softening around his eyes when you were near, a less rigid set to his shoulders. But for him, it was a profound internal reordering. The quiet comfort you brought wasn't just a pleasant diversion; it was becoming an essential anchor in his turbulent world.
One afternoon, a squall of minor, yet persistent, issues arose across the island. A supply shipment was delayed, a kitchen pipe burst, and two of his younger siblings were squabbling over a prized confection. Katakuri moved with his usual efficiency, dispatching orders, making calls, his mind a whirl of solutions. Yet, a low thrum of irritation persisted beneath his calm exterior. He found himself, almost unconsciously, seeking you out.
You were in the vast, labyrinthine library, meticulously cataloging old maps. The scent of aged paper and faint cinnamon clung to the air around you. You looked up as he entered, your eyes, as always, holding a quiet, welcoming light. You didn't ask what was wrong, didn't demand explanations. Instead, you simply offered a small, freshly baked cookie from a plate beside you. "They just came out of the oven," you said softly, a gentle invitation in your voice.
He took it, the warm, slightly crisp cookie a surprising comfort in his large hand. He ate it in two bites, the familiar sweetness a momentary balm. He then, to his own surprise, found himself recounting the day's minor frustrations, not in detail, but in a series of clipped, gruff sentences. You listened, truly listened, your gaze unwavering, a silent well of understanding. You didn't offer advice, didn't try to fix anything. You just were.
And in that quiet acceptance, the knot of irritation in his chest began to loosen. The problems hadn't vanished, but his perspective on them had shifted. He felt a quiet sense of calm, a subtle centering that he hadn't realized he craved until you provided it. When he finally rose to leave, the silence between you wasn't empty; it was full, a testament to the unspoken bond that was solidifying between you. He paused at the door, turning his head slightly. "Thank you," he rumbled, the words rough but sincere. It was a rare, almost unprecedented admission from him, a testament to how deeply your quiet presence had begun to affect him. The arranged marriage had indeed become something else entirely. It was becoming a haven.
The "thank you" had been a tremor, a subtle shift in the carefully constructed facade Katakuri presented to the world. For you, it was a confirmation, a quiet acknowledgment that the seed of connection you had diligently, patiently sown was beginning to take root. You didn't press, didn't exploit the rare moment of vulnerability. You simply offered a small, gentle smile, a warmth that resonated with the burgeoning shift within him.
The silent tea rituals evolved. Sometimes, you would softly read aloud from your book, your voice a calm murmur against the backdrop of the bustling island. Katakuri, seemingly absorbed in his own thoughts, would often find himself listening, the words weaving through the usual strategic calculations in his mind. He even began to notice the stories you favored â tales of quiet heroism, of small acts of courage, of unexpected tenderness in harsh worlds. These were the stories that mirrored the silent strength he was coming to see in you.
One particularly stormy night, the type of tempest that rattled the very foundations of Whole Cake Chateau, the power flickered and died. The usual emergency lights clicked on, but the vast, opulent halls felt eerily dark and unsettling. Katakuri, ever vigilant, was already moving to check on security and his siblings. As he passed his quarters, however, a soft light caught his eye.
You were there, not with a flashlight, but with a collection of small, flickering candles, strategically placed to cast a warm, comforting glow. You were not fearful, not flustered. Instead, you were humming a soft tune, carefully placing more candles, your movements calm and deliberate. When he entered, you simply looked up, your eyes reflecting the candlelight, making them seem even brighter.
"It's easier to see," you murmured, "and⊠it's warmer."
He stood there for a moment, the usual tension in his shoulders finally loosening. The storm raged outside, the world felt chaotic, but in this small pocket of warmth and soft light, with you, there was an inexplicable sense of peace. He found himself, for the first time, simply existing in your presence, without needing to calculate, without needing to guard.
He sat on his usual cushion, and for the first time, you leaned in, gently resting your head against his arm as you continued your quiet work with the candles. He didn't flinch, didn't stiffen. Instead, a warmth, far deeper than the flickering candlelight, spread through him. It was a warmth that settled into his very core, chasing away the lingering chill of the storm and the ever-present weight of his duties. This wasn't just an arranged marriage, a duty to be performed. This was⊠home. And in that quiet, candlelit room, surrounded by the soft flutter of your presence, Katakuri, the unbreakable warrior, finally understood. This was real. And against all odds, it was beautiful.
BUGGY THE CLOWN àŒâđŠč đȘ đ
The Compassionate Heart and the Clowns Love (2,145 words)
The salt-laced wind whipped your (Y/N)'s hair across your face as you gazed out at the endless expanse of the Grand Line. A gentle smile touched your lips, a familiar warmth blooming in your chest. You were a beacon of kindness in a world often consumed by chaos and cruelty. Where others saw danger, you sought understanding. Where despair festered, you offered a comforting hand. You were the one who'd sit with someone through their darkest hours, patiently listening, offering words of encouragement, and lifting them back onto their feet. The thought of sacrificing your own well-being for another's safety wasn't a burden; it was simply who you were. You were a good soul, pure and unwavering, a testament to the best of humanity.
And then there was Buggy. He stood beside you on the ship's deck, his signature red nose twitching slightly in the breeze. He was a whirlwind of contradictions, a walking, talking paradox to your own serene nature. Where you were selfless, he was self-serving. Where you were gentle, he was⊠well, he was Buggy. Loud, theatrical, and prone to dramatic outbursts, he was the kind of person who'd trip over his own feet and then blame the ship for moving. He was undeniably chaotic, a clashing cymbal to your quiet melody. Yet, he was your best friend, a bond forged in the crucible of shared adventures and countless debates. What you didn't know, however, was that beneath all his bluster and clownish antics, Buggy held a secret close to his heart â a fervent, almost obsessive adoration for you. You, the kindest soul heâd ever met, the person who made his chaotic world just a little bit brighter.
You'd often find yourself tending to the small, potted tangerine tree you kept on deck, a splash of vibrant green against the endless blue. Each leaf was carefully inspected, every nascent fruit admired with a quiet joy. Buggy, ever the lurker, would pretend to be polishing his cannons nearby, his gaze, however, was fixed on you. Heâd watch as your fingers, so gentle and sure, brushed away a stray speck of dust or tested the soil's moisture. A tiny, almost imperceptible sigh would escape his lips as he saw the soft, contented smile that graced your face. "What a weirdo," heâd grumble to himself, but the words lacked any real bite. Instead, a familiar warmth would spread through his chest, a feeling he refused to name but cherished all the same.
One blustery afternoon, a new recruit, still green and seasick, stumbled against the mast, dropping a tray of freshly baked bread. The loaves, a rare and cherished treat, scattered across the grimy deck. The recruit's face crumpled, tears welling in their eyes, anticipating a harsh reprimand. Before Buggy could unleash one of his famously theatrical tirades, you were there. You knelt, not to scold, but to gather the ruined bread, your voice a soothing balm. "It's alright," you murmured, your hand gently resting on the recruit's shaking shoulder. "Accidents happen. We'll just bake more." You even managed a small, reassuring smile, and the recruit's tears slowly subsided. Buggy, his mouth agape, watched the entire exchange. His planned tirade died on his tongue, replaced by a strange, almost painful ache in his chest. He'd never seen anyone react with such pure, unadulterated compassion. It was in moments like these, witnessing your boundless empathy, that Buggy felt himself tumbling further, irrevocably, in love with you.
You knew Buggy's temper was as short as his stature, and often as explosive as his Buggy Balls. There were countless times his face would contort into a mask of fury, his voice rising to a theatrical roar, usually over something trivial like a misplaced map or a particularly unflattering comment about his nose. Most of the crew would scatter, wisely giving him a wide berth. But not you.
One sweltering afternoon, a clumsy crewmate tripped, sending a precarious stack of Buggy's meticulously polished cannonballs clattering across the deck. The sound of metallic chaos was immediately followed by Buggy's indignant shriek. "You imbecile! Do you know how long it takes to buff these beauties?! They're practically jewels! I'll chop you into a hundred pieces and feed you to the Sea Kings!" His body began to separate, his disembodied hands already twitching with menace.
The poor crewmate, pale and trembling, braced for impact. But then, a calm, steady hand rested on Buggy's arm. It was yours. "Buggy," you said softly, your voice cutting through his enraged bellow like a soothing breeze. "It was an accident. Look, no real harm done. We can gather them up, and I'll even help you polish them again. We have plenty of time."
Buggy's separated limbs paused, his furious eyes blinking. He looked from the scattered cannonballs to your gentle face, then back again. His anger, so quickly ignited, seemed to deflate under your unwavering calm. He let out a dramatic huff, reassembling himself with a flourish. "Hmph! Fine! But only because you asked, (Y/N)! And you'd better polish them until they gleam like my magnificent nose!" He still grumbled, but the genuine threat had vanished, replaced by a theatrical show of lingering annoyance. You simply smiled, already kneeling to pick up the cannonballs, and Buggy, despite himself, found his heart doing a strange little flutter.
Another time, during a particularly frustrating negotiation with a shady merchant, Buggy found himself completely outmaneuvered, his grand plans unraveling before his very eyes. He'd stormed back to the ship, red-faced and fuming, kicking at anything that dared to be in his path. He paced the deck, muttering curses and slamming his fist into his palm. "That conniving weasel! How dare he! He'll regret this! I'll send a Buggy Bomb right through his wretched shop!"
The crew kept their distance, knowing better than to interrupt a Buggy tantrum. You, however, approached him, a mug of steaming tea in your hands. "Buggy," you said, offering it to him. "You look like you could use this."
He glared at the mug, then at you. "What do I need tea for, (Y/N)?! I need revenge! I need to show that miserable flea who he's messing with!"
You gently pressed the warm mug into his hands. "Sometimes," you said, your voice soft and understanding, "a moment of calm can help you think clearer. Besides, you're the greatest captain on the Grand Line. You'll figure out a way to get what you want, without resorting to blowing up perfectly good shops."
Buggy stared at the tea, then at your encouraging expression. The rigid tension in his shoulders seemed to ease, almost imperceptibly. He took a hesitant sip of the tea, then another. He still looked disgruntled, but the wild anger in his eyes had softened into a frustrated pout. "Hmph. Fine," he mumbled, taking another gulp of tea. "But I'm still getting my revenge. Just⊠after this." He never did end up blowing up the shop that day. And as he watched you walk away, a faint, almost imperceptible blush crept onto his painted cheeks. Every time you treated him with such quiet understanding, such unwavering belief, he felt a pull, a warmth that had nothing to do with the Grand Line's sun, and everything to do with you. He was, completely, hopelessly, madly in love.
The sun dipped below the horizon, painting the sky in hues of orange and purple. A gentle breeze rustled the ship's sails, carrying the scent of salt and adventure. You were sitting by the railing, gazing at the glittering expanse of the sea, a quiet contentment settling over you.
Buggy, however, was a whirlwind of nervous energy. He paced the deck, his shadow stretching long and distorted in the fading light. His mind was a battlefield, warring between his usual theatrical bluster and a sudden, crippling shyness. He'd rehearsed this moment a hundred times in his head, each version more dramatic and magnificent than the last. But now, with you so close, so calm and effortlessly kind, all his carefully constructed speeches dissolved into a jumbled mess.
He stopped abruptly, facing away from you, his hands clenched at his sides. "Y-Y-You know, (Y/N)!" he blurted out, his voice cracking slightly. "I... I'm the greatest pirate captain on the Grand Line! The magnificent Buggy! No one can compare to my genius, my charisma, my... my incredible nose!" He gestured wildly to his face, but his usual confidence was noticeably absent.
You turned, a small, amused smile playing on your lips. "Of course, Buggy," you said, your voice soft and patient. "No one doubts your magnificent qualities."
His shoulders sagged slightly at your gentle tone. This wasn't going as planned. He spun around, his face a dramatic mask of internal turmoil, his cheeks a surprising shade of crimson beneath his make-up. "B-But... but there's something else! Something... something even more magnificent than my incredible powers and my vast treasure!" He took a shaky breath, his eyes darting to yours, then quickly away. "It's... it's you! You're... you're the most amazing, kindest, most infuriatingly selfless person I've ever met! You make my heart feel all... all weird and tingly! Like a hundred tiny explosions going off at once!"
He finally looked at you, his normally boastful eyes wide with a raw, uncharacteristic vulnerability. "I... I think I'm in love with you, (Y/N)! Madly, completely, utterly in love!" The words tumbled out in a rush, leaving him breathless. He stood there, frozen, waiting for your reaction, his painted smile feeling incredibly stiff. The silence stretched, filled only by the gentle lapping of waves against the hull, and the frantic pounding of Buggy's own heart.
The silence that followed Buggy's confession hung heavy in the air, broken only by the rhythmic lapping of the waves against the ship. Buggy, for once in his life, was utterly still, his eyes wide and vulnerable, fixed on your face. He braced himself for a laugh, a bewildered stare, anything but what came next.
A soft, genuine smile bloomed on your face, a warmth that seemed to banish the last vestiges of twilight from the deck. You stepped closer, your hand gently reaching out to touch his arm. "Buggy," you said, your voice a calm, steady melody that quieted the frantic beating of his heart. "You really are something else."
His breath hitched, and he stared at you, waiting.
You chuckled softly, a sound that sent a strange, delightful shiver down his spine. "Those 'weird and tingly' feelings? I get them too, with you." Your gaze, so open and honest, met his, and he felt a jolt, like a tiny electric current passing between you. "And yes, Buggy. A thousand times yes."
Buggy's jaw dropped. His eyes, usually so expressive in their theatrical fury, were now wide with pure, unadulterated shock. "Y-Y-You... you mean it?" he stammered, his voice barely a whisper. "You're... you're not just being kind?"
You laughed again, a fuller, more joyful sound this time. "No, Buggy," you affirmed, your grip on his arm firm and reassuring. "I'm not just being kind. I really do feel something for you. All of you. Even your magnificent nose." You squeezed his arm gently, your eyes sparkling with affection.
A colossal grin, wider and more genuine than any of his usual theatrical displays, spread across Buggy's face. He let out a whoop of pure delight, so loud it probably echoed across the silent ocean. In a flash of spontaneous joy, he found himself doing something utterly uncharacteristic: he pulled you into a surprisingly gentle, yet firm, hug. His arms wrapped around you, holding you close, and for a moment, the notorious Pirate Captain Buggy, the loud and bombastic clown, was simply Buggy, a man completely, blissfully, and truly in love.
The news spread through the crew like wildfire. Initially, there were whispers, then outright disbelief. "Captain Buggy? In love? With (Y/N)?" But as days turned into weeks, the evidence was undeniable. Buggy, while still prone to his dramatic outbursts, seemed to have a new spring in his step. His threats of dismemberment were often softened by a glance in your direction, and he'd even been caught, on more than one occasion, looking at you with an expression so ridiculously fond it made the crewmates snicker.
You, meanwhile, remained your steadfast, compassionate self, but now there was an added layer of warmth, a quiet joy that resonated with Buggy's newfound, if still chaotic, happiness. You'd still calm his tantrums, still offer gentle guidance, but now, there was an unspoken understanding, a shared tenderness that had blossomed between the kindest soul on the Grand Line and its most theatrical pirate captain. Their journey continued, but now, it was a journey shared, two vastly different individuals sailing under the same flag, bound by a love as unexpected and vibrant as the Grand Line itself.
ROB LUCCI đąđž
Kind Soul, Cold Hearted Love (2,158)
A salty breeze ruffled your hair, carrying the scent of the sea and distant islands. It was a familiar comfort, one that always managed to soothe the edges of your heart, no matter the turmoil within. And there was often turmoil. Not from your own spirit, which was a wellspring of empathy and unwavering support, but from the stark contrast of the world around you, and more acutely, the man by your side.
You, dear soul, were a beacon of warmth in a world often shrouded in shadow. You were the soft hand that cradled a weeping friend, the gentle voice that whispered encouragement when hope seemed lost, the unwavering presence that offered solace even at the cost of your own comfort. You would readily throw yourself into harm's way for a stranger, your kindness an almost tangible force, a quiet strength that made you truly one of a kind. You loved with a fierce, unconditional devotion, and that love was currently anchored to a man who embodied everything you weren't.
Rob Lucci. His presence was as cool and unyielding as the deepest ocean, his gaze often distant, calculated. He moved with a predatory grace, his actions driven by a harsh, singular vision of âjusticeâ that frequently left collateral damage in its wake. There was an edge to him, a contained aggression that simmered beneath his composed exterior, a coldness that could send shivers down the spine of even the bravest marine. You were a vibrant bloom, and he, a jagged, beautiful shard of ice. How could two such disparate souls find their way to each other? And more importantly, how could a heart as open as yours navigate the guarded complexities of his? This was the story of your love, a testament to the fact that even the coldest hearts can be touched by the purest kindness, and perhaps, even find a strange, unsettling warmth.
It wasn't a grand, sweeping gesture that drew Rob Lucci to you, but rather a slow, insidious erosion of his carefully constructed indifference. He had always seen the world in stark black and white, good and evil, with himself as the unwavering instrument of the latter's eradication. Emotion was a weakness, compassion a luxury he could not afford in his pursuit of "Absolute Justice." Yet, you, with your boundless capacity for kindness, began to chip away at that hardened resolve.
He first observed it during a mission â a tense standoff in a bustling port town. A stray shot had sent a wooden crate tumbling, threatening to crush a small, frightened child. Before anyone else could react, before even he, with his heightened senses and lightning reflexes, could fully process the danger, you were there. You didn't hesitate, didn't flinch. You simply threw yourself forward, shielding the child with your own body as the heavy wood splintered against your back. A gasp rippled through the crowd, quickly followed by a collective sigh of relief. You, however, merely offered a wobbly smile to the child, brushing dust from their hair as if nothing untoward had happened.
Lucci, perched silently on a rooftop, had watched it all, his eyes narrowed. He processed the data: illogical, inefficient, entirely self-sacrificing for no strategic gain. And yet... the genuine relief on the child's face, the murmurs of gratitude from the onlookers, the soft, unburdened light in your eyes. It was utterly alien to his understanding of the world.
Later, he found you tending to a wounded Marine soldier, your brow furrowed with concern as you carefully bandaged his arm. The soldier, usually gruff and stoic, was speaking softly to you, a rare vulnerability in his voice. You listened, truly listened, offering quiet words of comfort that seemed to possess a strange, healing quality. Lucci felt a peculiar flicker in his own chest, an unfamiliar sensation. He dismissed it as an anomaly, a momentary distraction.
But the anomalies continued. You were always there, a quiet presence of solace amidst the chaos. You offered a drink of water to a tired guard, shared your meager rations with a hungry street urchin, even risked admonishment to gently correct a superior who was being unnecessarily harsh to a subordinate. Each act, small and seemingly insignificant, was a direct contradiction to the ruthless efficiency he embodied.
He started finding excuses to be near you. Not overtly, of course. He would be "observing" a sector you were in, or "analyzing" the crowd near your position. He'd catch glimpses of you, sometimes smiling, sometimes serious, but always radiating that same unwavering warmth. He noticed the way people gravitated towards you, drawn by your innate goodness. He saw how even hardened criminals, when faced with your unvarnished compassion, would sometimes falter, a flicker of something human crossing their eyes.
One evening, under the pale glow of a distant moon, you found him alone, perched on a deserted dock, Hattori nestled on his shoulder. You didn't question his solitude or his presence. Instead, you simply sat a respectful distance away, drawing your knees to your chest, and looked out at the tranquil water. After a long silence, you spoke, your voice soft as the lapping waves. "Sometimes," you murmured, "even the strongest need a moment to just... be."
He didn't reply, didn't even turn his head. But Hattori, his ever-present companion, ruffled his feathers and cooed, a soft, approving sound. You didn't press him, just continued to sit, a silent, comforting presence. It was in that quiet, unassuming moment, amidst the salty air and the vast, indifferent ocean, that something shifted within Rob Lucci. It wasn't a sudden burst of emotion, but a slow, almost imperceptible thaw around the edges of his frozen heart. He didn't understand it, couldn't categorize it, but he knew, with a chilling certainty, that he wanted you near. He wanted that inexplicable warmth to continue to exist in his desolate world, even if he couldn't yet comprehend why. And that, for a man like Rob Lucci, was the beginning of everything.
The stark contrast between you and Lucci was a chasm you, in your boundless optimism, barely perceived. You saw the flicker of something in his eyes, the almost imperceptible softening of his posture when you were near, and mistook it for burgeoning tenderness. You were a creature of pure, unadulterated light, and to you, everyone possessed a spark of that same light, even if it was buried deep. Lucci, however, saw the truth with chilling clarity. He was a predator, a tool forged in the fires of ruthless efficiency, and he knew, with every fiber of his being, that he didn't deserve your softness.
He'd watch you sometimes, when you thought he wasn't looking. You'd be helping a junior agent untangle a complicated knot, your brow furrowed in concentration, a gentle smile playing on your lips when they finally succeeded. Or you'd hum softly to yourself while mending a torn piece of equipment, your movements deliberate and caring. You saw worth in everything, from the smallest insect to the most hardened criminal. Your compassion was a balm that seemed to soothe the raw edges of the world, and it infuriated him, even as it drew him in.
Heâd tested it, subtly at first. He'd purposely use a harsher tone with a subordinate in your presence, expecting your gentle rebuke, perhaps even a look of disapproval. Instead, you'd simply offer a quiet suggestion for a more efficient, less confrontational approach, your gaze unwavering, devoid of judgment. It was like trying to chip away at a cloud with a hammer; your kindness simply absorbed the impact, leaving him bewildered.
There was one incident that truly solidified his internal conflict. A subordinate, terrified of Lucci's notoriously short temper, had botched a critical task, leading to a minor but irritating setback. Lucci's gaze had sharpened, his usual calm replaced by a cold fury that promised severe repercussions. The subordinate visibly trembled, bracing for the inevitable. You, however, had stepped forward, placing a reassuring hand on the man's arm.
"It was an honest mistake, Lucci," you'd said, your voice surprisingly firm, "and easily remedied. Perhaps if we approach it from this angle..." You then calmly outlined a solution, one that was both effective and avoided any further humiliation for the blundering agent. Lucci had simply stared at you, his internal algorithms struggling to process this anomaly. You had, without even realizing it, diffused a volatile situation, protected someone from his wrath, and offered a better path forward â all with a simple, genuine act of kindness. He'd dismissed the subordinate with a terse nod, but his eyes remained fixed on you, a strange mix of grudging admiration and self-loathing swirling within their depths.
He knew he was cold. He knew he was aggressive. He had seen the fear in peopleâs eyes when he entered a room, the way they instinctively recoiled from his presence. And he had accepted it, even cultivated it, as a necessary shield in his brutal world. But you⊠you saw past the shield. You saw something he himself barely recognized, a glimmer of humanity he had long since suppressed. And the terrifying part was, your gentle touch was starting to make him feel it too. He didnât deserve it. He was a monster, a weapon, and you were everything good and pure. The thought of tainting you, of dragging you into his darkness, was a stark reality he grappled with every waking moment. Yet, the thought of letting you go, of existing in a world without your unwavering light, was far more unbearable.
The quiet moments became more frequent, the unspoken understanding between you and Lucci deepening with each passing day. Your love didn't burst forth like a supernova; instead, it bloomed slowly, like a desert flower coaxed open by persistent, gentle rain. It was built on the small, almost imperceptible acts of kindness you showered upon him, acts that, to anyone else, might seem trivial, but to Lucci, were profound in their foreignness.
He'd often find a small, meticulously folded napkin tucked into his coat pocket, a fresh fruit or a precisely cut piece of meat wrapped inside â a quiet acknowledgment of his often forgotten meals amidst the chaos of his duties. You never made a show of it, never asked if heâd eaten it. You simply left it, a silent offering of care that gnawed at the edges of his rigid self-sufficiency.
There was the time he'd returned from a particularly brutal mission, his clothes torn and stained, his usual impassive demeanor betraying a hint of weariness. You didn't question, didn't pry. Instead, you simply set out a basin of warm water and a clean cloth, and without a word, began to gently tend to a superficial cut on his arm. Your touch was feather-light, your gaze soft and unwavering. He'd stood there, utterly still, a strange vulnerability washing over him as your fingers, so utterly unlike his own calloused ones, cleaned and bandaged his wound. He couldn't remember anyone ever tending to him with such tender care.
You also had an uncanny knack for anticipating his needs, even before he recognized them himself. If heâd been hunched over mission reports for hours, a slight tension in his shoulders, youâd appear with a steaming mug of tea, or a quiet suggestion for a brief walk. You never demanded, never insisted. It was always a gentle offer, a soft invitation to ease the burden he so stubbornly carried. He'd find himself accepting these small gestures, a foreign warmth spreading through him each time, even as his logical mind struggled to reconcile it with the cold, hard reality of his existence.
One evening, after a particularly grueling assignment, he found you waiting for him in his dimly lit quarters. You weren't imposing or loud; you were simply there, a quiet anchor in his turbulent world. You had a book in your hands, not reading, but simply holding it, your presence a soft counterpoint to the harsh silence. When he entered, you merely offered a small, knowing smile. You knew he needed to decompress, to shed the day's brutality, and you instinctively understood that your quiet, non-demanding presence was exactly what he needed. He didn't speak, nor did you. He simply sat, and for the first time in a long time, the ever-present tension in his jaw began to ease.
These small, constant acts of profound kindness, delivered without expectation or judgment, began to chip away at the fortress he had built around his heart. He saw the world through your eyes, if only for fleeting moments, and in those moments, it didn't seem so bleak, so entirely unforgiving. He knew he was undeserving of such grace, that his darkness could easily eclipse your light. Yet, the thought of your unwavering goodness, of your gentle touch, had become a silent, undeniable craving. He wasn't sure what this unfamiliar feeling was, but every fiber of his being now yearned for the quiet solace you brought.
KID àȘââŽ
Kind Soul, Ruthless Pirate (2,040 words)
The salty spray of the Grand Line was a familiar kiss on your cheek, the chaotic symphony of the waves a lullaby youâd grown to love. You were, by all accounts, a beacon of warmth in a world often consumed by darkness. If someone stumbled, you were the first to offer a steadying hand; if tears fell, your shoulder was a ready haven. Youâd sacrifice your own comfort, even your safety, without a second thought if it meant easing another's burden. Your heart, a vast and boundless ocean of kindness, was truly one of the greatest treasures on these seas.
And then there was Eustass Kid. The man who stood at the helm of the Kid Pirates, his crimson coat a stark contrast to your gentle spirit. He was a supernova, a name whispered with a mixture of fear and awe. Cruel, aggressive, and utterly ruthless, he was everything you werenât. The world often wondered how someone like you could ever find solace, let alone love, with a man like him. Yet, beneath the clanging metal and the fiery glares, there was a different kind of connectionâa silent understanding that defied logic. You were the calm to his storm, the quiet anchor that kept him from drifting too far into the abyss. It was a bizarre, beautiful dance, and somehow, it worked. You loved him, and in his own fiercely protective way, he loved you too.
The scent of ozone always clung to Kid, a mix of his devil fruit and the sheer force of his presence. Youâd often find yourself unconsciously leaning into it, even when he was grumbling about some perceived slight from Killer or the stupidity of a Marine patrol. One afternoon, you were patching up Heat's torn jacket, a task you'd taken on countless times for the crew. The needle was finicky, and you let out a soft sigh of frustration. Without a word, a large, calloused hand, usually reserved for crushing metal or enemies, reached over and deftly threaded the needle for you. He didnât look at you, his gaze fixed on the horizon, but the small gesture, the unexpected tenderness in his rough movements, spoke volumes.
Later, as the sun dipped below the waves, painting the sky in fiery oranges and purples, you sat on the ship's railing, watching the endless expanse of the sea. Kid, usually pacing or shouting orders, found his way beside you. He didnât say anything, just leaned against the railing, his arm brushing yours. The silence between you two was never awkward, but comfortable, filled with an unspoken understanding. You traced patterns on the weathered wood, and then, almost imperceptibly, his pinky finger hooked around yours, a silent anchor in the vastness of the ocean. He'd never admit to such a soft gesture, but you felt the gentle pressure, a quiet affirmation of his presence.
And then there were the nights after a particularly brutal encounter, when the ship was still humming with the aftermath of battle. Youâd be tending to the wounded, your hands steady and soft, your voice a soothing balm. Kid, covered in grime and dried blood, would always find you. He wouldn't ask for help, or even acknowledge your efforts directly. Instead, heâd simply plant himself nearby, leaning against a bulkhead, his good eye fixed on you. Sometimes, heâd just watch, a silent, almost possessive vigil. Other times, heâd gruffly shove a mug of hot tea into your hands, or a piece of scavenged fruit, his way of making sure you were taken care of, even as he was still dripping with the fight. Those were the moments that reminded you, and everyone on the crew, that beneath the rage and the metal, there was a fierce, unwavering devotion that only you could truly see.
You knew the signs. The clenching of his jaw, the subtle tremor in his metal arm, the way his voice would drop, becoming a dangerous rumble just before the explosion. It usually started with a trivial insult from a rival captain, a faulty navigational chart, or even just a particularly stubborn knot in a rope. Whatever it was, when Kid's temper flared, the entire crew braced themselves. But you didn't brace; you moved.
One blustery afternoon, a smaller pirate crew dared to challenge Kid's authority, their captain spewing arrogant taunts across the choppy waves. Kidâs hand immediately shot to his hilt, his muscles coiling, the air around him crackling with suppressed magnetism. Before he could make a move, you were there, your hand gently but firmly placed on his bicep. Your touch was like a cool stream against hot iron.
"Kid," you said, your voice soft but clear, cutting through the rising tension. Your eyes met his, and for a fleeting moment, the raw fury in his gaze softened, just for you. "They're not worth it. Let them learn their lesson another day, in a way that doesn't stain your coat." You offered a small, almost imperceptible shake of your head. He glared at the retreating ship, his chest still heaving, but he didn't move. He simply growled, a low, frustrated sound, and the crew collectively exhaled.
Later, after a particularly brutal clash with a Marine patrol, Kid was pacing the deck, the adrenaline still coursing through him. He was muttering darkly, kicking at stray debris, his good eye gleaming with a restless energy that bordered on destructive. The crew gave him a wide berth, understanding the danger. You, however, approached without hesitation.
"You're going to wear a hole in the deck," you remarked, a hint of playful exasperation in your tone.
He stopped, turning his furious gaze on you. "They almost got Killer! And they dared to call us rabid dogs!"
You walked closer, reaching up to gently cup his cheek, your thumb brushing over the rough stubble. His skin was warm, flushed with anger. "And you showed them they were wrong, didn't you?" you soothed, your voice a calm melody. "You protected your crew, like always. You were incredible out there." You could feel the tension slowly drain from his body under your touch. He leaned into your palm almost imperceptibly, his rage slowly dissipating into a simmering warmth. He wouldn't admit it, but your praise, your unwavering belief in him, was the only thing that could truly rein him in.
There were countless other moments, small and significant. A whispered word when he was about to rip someoneâs head off for a minor infraction, a steadying hand on his arm when his temper threatened to consume him. You were his anchor, his quiet strength, the one person who could calm the raging storm that was Eustass Kid. And in return, he was fiercely, undeniably yours.
Life on the Grand Line, even with your calming presence, was relentlessly harsh. There were days the storms were less about the weather and more about the weariness that settled deep in your bones. After a particularly harrowing escape from a tenacious Marine Vice Admiral, the entire crew was exhausted, you most of all. Youâd spent hours tending to the wounded, your energy completely drained.
You finally collapsed onto a coil of rope, too tired to even make it to your hammock. The salt-laced wind was biting, and you shivered, pulling your worn jacket tighter. Just as you were about to drift into a restless sleep, a large, heavy mass was draped over you. It was Kidâs signature crimson coat, still smelling faintly of ozone and his unique, metallic scent. You opened your eyes to see him standing over you, his back to the railing, seemingly engrossed in the churning waves. He didn't say a word, didn't even look at you, but the warmth of his coat was immediate and comforting, a silent acknowledgment of your fatigue. It was a gesture so unlike his usual aggressive demeanor that it spoke volumes.
Another time, a small, intricate wooden bird carving you'd been working on for weeksâa gift for a tiny, shy islander youâd befriendedâslipped from your grasp during a sudden lurch of the ship. It skittered across the deck, heading straight for the churning sea. Your heart leaped into your throat. Before you could even react, Kid's metal arm shot out with lightning speed, snatching the delicate carving mere inches from the edge.
He retrieved it, his fingers, usually so destructive, surprisingly gentle as he held the tiny bird. He squinted at it, a flicker of something akin to curiosity in his eye, before he simply placed it back in your hand. He didnât comment on your relief, didn't tease you for your clumsiness. He just averted his gaze, as if catching himself in a moment of unexpected tenderness. The crew who witnessed it pretended not to see, a silent testament to the rarity of such a display from their captain.
And then there were the nights when nightmares, remnants of past dangers or the ever-present threats of the sea, would steal your peace. Youâd wake with a gasp, heart pounding, the phantom chill of a near-death experience clinging to you. Youâd try to calm yourself, but sometimes the fear was too overwhelming. It was during one such night that you felt the gentle dip in the hammock beside yours, and then, a warm, heavy weight settle over your hand. Kid, ever the light sleeper, had noticed your distress. He didn't speak, didn't try to comfort you with words. Instead, he simply stayed there, his large hand enveloping yours, his presence a silent, immovable anchor against the tide of your fears. In those moments, his rough exterior melted away, revealing the unwavering support of the man who, despite all odds, was undeniably there for you.
Their relationship wasn't a grand, sweeping romance, filled with dramatic declarations or public displays of affection. It was built in the small, almost imperceptible moments that stitched their vastly different worlds together.
You often found yourself sketching, capturing the fleeting beauty of the Grand Line on whatever scrap paper you could find. One lazy afternoon, while you were engrossed in drawing a particularly striking sunset, Kid approached. Instead of his usual booming voice, he merely grunted, pulling up a barrel to sit beside you. You braced yourself for a critique, perhaps even a sarcastic jab about your "childish hobbies." Instead, he simply watched, his single eye surprisingly intent on your work. When you finished, he reached out, not to grab, but to gently tap the drawing with a metal finger. "Good," he grunted, a rare, genuine compliment. It was a small word, but from Kid, it felt like a symphony.
Food was another surprising avenue for their connection. While Kid was a notoriously unpicky eater, devouring anything put in front of him with aggressive efficiency, you knew his quiet preferences. If there was a specific, less common fruit scavenged from an island, you'd make sure a portion was always set aside for him, even if it meant foregoing your own. He'd never acknowledge it with words, but you'd catch him sometimes, a fleeting glance in your direction, a tiny, almost imperceptible nod of thanks as he devoured his share.
One chilly evening, after a particularly rough storm, you were bundled up on deck, shivering despite your layers. Kid, who rarely seemed affected by the elements, walked by, then paused. He disappeared for a moment, only to return with two steaming mugs of heavily sweetened tea, a rarity on the ship. He handed one to you, his fingers brushing yours, a silent warmth passing between you. He then settled down beside you, not too close, but close enough that the heat radiating from his large frame offered extra comfort. You drank your tea in comfortable silence, the quiet companionship a testament to the deep, unspoken affection that thrived between you both.
These were the moments that defined your love for Kid: the unexpected acts of consideration, the silent understandings, the unwavering presence. You were his gentle compass in the storm, and he, in his own gruff, powerful way, was your steadfast anchor. It was a love forged not in commonality, but in the profound acceptance of each other's contrasting natures, a testament to the idea that even the fiercest of flames could find solace in the kindest of breezes.
BARTOLOMEO àŒâ§âË.
Gentle Soul, Boisterous fanboy. (1,925 words)
A soft breeze ruffled your hair as you looked out over the sparkling expanse of the Grand Line. You were a gentle soul, known across islands not for grand feats of strength, but for the quiet power of your compassion. When someone stumbled, you were the first to offer a steadying hand. When tears fell, your embrace was a comforting harbor. You'd willingly stand in harm's way if it meant another's safety, a quiet guardian in a chaotic world.
And then there was Bartolomeo. Your Barty. He was⊠different. Where you were a gentle ripple, he was a crashing wave, all boisterous declarations and unwavering devotion, particularly when it came to the Straw Hats. His love for Luffy and his crew was a force of nature, often expressed with a protective snarl towards anyone who dared disrespect his idols. He was loud, he was brash, and sometimes, he was absolutely infuriating. Yet, beneath the thorny exterior of the Straw Hat fanboy, you knew there was a fierce loyalty and a heart, however uniquely expressed, that beat just for you. It was a strange harmony, your quiet grace and his roaring passion, but somehow, it worked.
The first time Bartolomeo saw you gently coaxing a frightened stray dog out from under a market stall with soft whispers and a piece of your lunch, he stopped dead in his tracks. Heâd been in the middle of a rather loud, one-sided argument with a street vendor whoâd dared to suggest "Straw Hat Luffy was just a pirate." His own booming voice had faltered, his eyes fixed on your serene face as the dog, tail wagging, licked your outstretched hand. He felt a strange lurch in his chest, something entirely unfamiliar to the usual surge of fanboy rage.
"Oi, what're you doing with that mutt?" he'd gruffed later, sidling up to you as you shared your water with the now calm animal.
Youâd simply smiled, your eyes crinkling at the corners. "He was scared, Bartolomeo. He just needed a little kindness."
He'd grunted, shuffling his feet. Kindness wasn't exactly in his usual repertoire, especially not towards a mangy street dog. But watching you, it seemed⊠right. Later that day, you found a surprisingly fresh, if slightly squashed, fish left discreetly beside the dog youâd befriended. You knew exactly who it was from, even if he'd never admit it.
One blustery afternoon, a new recruit to Bartolomeo's crew, overwhelmed by the sheer, unadulterated chaos that often followed in the wake of the Straw Hat Fan Club, broke down. He was curled up in a corner, sobbing quietly, convinced he wasn't cut out for pirate life. Bartolomeo, for all his bluster, looked genuinely perplexed, his usual bravado deflating slightly. He just stood there, hands on his hips, completely unsure how to handle a crying man.
You, on the other hand, moved without hesitation. You knelt beside the man, your hand gently resting on his shoulder. "It's alright," you murmured, your voice a soothing balm. "It's a lot to take in at first, isn't it? But you're stronger than you think. We're all here to help each other."
You stayed with him, talking softly, until his sobs subsided and he looked up with a glimmer of hope in his eyes. Bartolomeo, watching from a distance, felt that familiar, strange lurch again. You had a way of seeing past the surface, of finding the vulnerable core that he, with all his walls and his loud exterior, often missed. He might not have understood how you did it, but he knew he was endlessly grateful that you did.
The air was thick with the salty tang of the sea and the screech of gulls as your small ship, the Kind Heart, bobbed gently on the waves. Bartolomeo, as usual, was perched on the figurehead â a surprisingly well-carved depiction of a smiling sheep â his green hair whipping in the wind. He was excitedly pointing towards a hazy island on the horizon, a place rumored to hold a legendary, incredibly rare type of cola that even the Straw Hats hadn't tasted.
"Y/N! Look! That's gotta be it! The Isle of Fizz! I can just imagine how stoked Boss Luffy will be when I tell him I found cola even he's never had!" Bartolomeo's voice boomed across the deck, his enthusiasm infectious despite its volume.
You chuckled, adjusting the worn map in your hands. "The legends also say it's guarded by some rather⊠enthusiastic creatures, Barty."
He scoffed, slamming a fist into his chest, a green barrier momentarily flickering around it. "Hmph! What kind of weaklings could stand against the great Bartolomeo?!"
You smiled softly. His confidence, though often over the top, was also strangely reassuring. You knew that beneath the bravado, he would always have your back.
As you drew closer to the island, the lush green foliage gave way to towering, oddly shaped rock formations that seemed to bubble and fizz at their peaks. The air grew sweeter, carrying a faint, almost sugary aroma. Suddenly, a volley of sticky, brown projectiles rained down on your ship.
"Cola bombs!" Bartolomeo roared, deflecting the sticky globs with his Barrier-Barrier Fruit. "See, Y/N? I told you there'd be a challenge!" He actually seemed thrilled.
You, however, were more concerned about the creatures launching the attack. They were small, furry beings with large, bulging eyes and what appeared to be miniature cola bottles attached to their backs. They chittered and screeched, their tiny hands furiously squeezing more cola bombs.
"They seem more scared than aggressive," you observed, noticing how they retreated slightly whenever Bartolomeo's barrier appeared. "Maybe we should try talking to them?"
Bartolomeo stared at you like you'd grown a second head. "Talking? To fizzy furballs that are trying to glue us to the deck?"
"Well, fighting them doesn't seem to be getting us any closer to the cola, does it?" you pointed out gently.
With a dramatic sigh and a roll of his eyes, Bartolomeo relented. "Fine, fine. But if they try anything, they're getting a face full of barrier!"
You carefully approached the edge of the ship, offering a piece of the sweet bread you'd baked that morning. "Hello there," you called out softly. "We just want to see the cola. We won't hurt you."
The furry creatures paused their attack, their large eyes blinking curiously at the bread. One particularly bold one crept closer, sniffing cautiously. You held your breath as it tentatively nibbled at the offering. Soon, others followed suit, their chittering softening into more curious sounds.
Bartolomeo watched the scene unfold, his usual boisterousness replaced with a quiet fascination. He saw how your gentle demeanor and genuine kindness were having a far greater effect than any display of strength could.
Eventually, one of the creatures, seemingly the leader, gestured with a tiny paw towards a path leading into the island's interior. It made a series of bubbling noises, and you had a feeling it was inviting you to follow.
"Well, Barty," you said, turning to him with a smile. "Looks like they're willing to show us the way."
He grunted, but there was a hint of admiration in his eyes. "Hmph. Guess being nice ain't always a bad strategy, huh?" He still looked ready to deploy his barriers at a moment's notice, but for now, he followed you onto the Isle of Fizz, a strange blend of gentle diplomacy and impenetrable defense venturing into the unknown.
You lay on the makeshift cot in your ship's infirmary, a bandage wrapped around your arm. The scent of medicinal herbs filled the small space, a stark contrast to the sweet, fizzy aroma of the Isle of Fizz that still clung faintly to your clothes. Bartolomeo paced back and forth in the cramped room, his usual swagger replaced by a tight furrow in his brow.
"I just⊠I don't understand, Y/N!" he exclaimed, his voice rough with a mixture of worry and exasperation. "Those cola geysers were strong! One wrong step, and â and you just jumped in front of that little fur ball! Why would you do that?!"
You offered him a weak smile. "He looked so scared, Barty. And he was just trying to protect his home, just like we would."
"Protect his home?!" Bartolomeo threw his hands up in exasperation, his green hair swaying wildly. "Y/N, you could have been seriously hurt! That cola could have burned you something awful! And for what? Some⊠some fizzing rat!"
"They weren't rats, Barty," you said gently, wincing slightly as you shifted. "They were just trying to defend their treasure. Besides," you added, your gaze softening as you looked at him, "you were right behind me. I knew you'd protect me."
Bartolomeo stopped pacing, his face softening slightly, though a hint of his frustration remained. "That's not the point! I shouldn't have to protect you from your own⊠your own selflessness! You can't just keep throwing yourself into danger like that!"
He knelt beside your cot, his large hands hovering awkwardly above yours, as if unsure whether to touch you. "You're⊠you're too kind, Y/N. Too good for this world sometimes. And it scares me." His voice was softer now, the booming edge gone. "What if I wasn't fast enough? What if my barrier didn't hold? What would I do then?"
You reached out, your uninjured hand finding his. His fingers were rough, calloused from years of fighting, but his grip was surprisingly gentle. "You would have found a way, Barty. You always do. And besides," you squeezed his hand reassuringly, "I know my limits. I wouldn't do anything truly reckless."
He looked down at your hand in his, a conflicted expression on his face. He knew your heart was pure, that your every action was guided by an innate desire to help others. It was one of the things he loved most about you, this unwavering compassion. But it also terrified him. The Grand Line was a dangerous place, and your tendency to put others before yourself was a constant source of worry.
"Just⊠just be more careful, okay?" he mumbled, his gaze still fixed on your hand. "Think about yourself sometimes too. You're important, Y/N. More important than any fizzy cola or scared little creature in the world."
You smiled, your heart swelling at his words. For all his bluster and obsession with the Straw Hats, Bartolomeo cared deeply. In his own loud, protective way, he loved you fiercely. "I will try, Barty. I promise. But you have to promise me something too."
He looked up, his green eyes questioning. "What's that?"
"Promise me you'll never stop being you," you said softly. "Your strength, your loyalty⊠even your crazy fanboy moments. That's all part of why I love you."
A faint blush crept onto Bartolomeo's cheeks, and he looked away, a rare moment of bashfulness. "Tch. Of course not. Who else would protect Boss Luffy's honor with such⊠enthusiasm?"
But as he looked back at you, a genuine, heartfelt smile touched his lips. He squeezed your hand gently. "Just⊠try not to give me so many scares, alright?"
You chuckled, a warm feeling spreading through you despite the ache in your arm. "I'll do my best, you big softie."
He scoffed, puffing out his chest. "Softie?! I am the great Bartolomeo!" But the grin on his face betrayed him. In the aftermath of the cola geyser and your selfless act, a deeper understanding had settled between you, a quiet acknowledgment of the contrasting forces that somehow, beautifully, held you together.
I got two requests please.
Can you make another clingy chapter in your one piece x reader? I need a clingy Katakuri. And if you want, one with clingy Doflamingo and Bartolomeo too if possible. If you don't want to write those two you can throw in other characters of your choice.
one piece x reader: Air jail. I want Katakuri, Doflamingo (opt), and Crocodile holding reader in the air as "Air jail" because they like to mess with how short reader is. You can add other characters to this if you want. (sorry if this request is odd i'm high rn)
I'm Not Clingy (Part 4)
Characters: Bartolomeo, Doflamingo, & Katakuri
Summary: They claim that aren't that clingy with you, what they do says otherwise.
A/N: I hope you enjoy! This was the first time I have tried writing Bartolomeo or Doflamingo, so I hope they came out alright. And the air jail is in progress; it is such a funny idea.

đđ€©Bartolomeo:
âYouâre clingy.â Â
Bartolomeo froze mid-rant. âWâWHAT?!â he screeched, pointing at himself. âMe?! Clingy?! NO WAY!â He was currently, sitting so close, your knees were touching, holding your hand while leaning against your shoulder, all while dramatically crying about how cool you looked earlier.Â
âYou havenât let go of me in thirty minutes.âÂ
âThatâs âcause pirates are dangerous!â he shot back immediately. âIâm protectinâ ya!âÂ
âWeâre alone.âÂ
âYEAH, WELL YOU NEVER KNOW.âÂ
Any time you walked into a new town? Green barrier dome, immediately. Around you, but not around him and not around the crew. Just you. âI donât trust these people!â He barked out, glaring at innocent civilians. âThey donât deserve to breathe the same air as you!âÂ
You sighed. âBartolomeo.âÂ
He gasped, clutching his chest. "ARE YOU MAD AT ME?!âÂ
âNo.âÂ
âOh, thank gods.â He did not remove the barrier.Â
One day you decided to mess with him. You casually mentioned wanting to explore the market alone. Â
Silence. The world stopped. ââŠAlone?â he repeated weakly.Â
âYeah.âÂ
His lip trembled. âLike. Without me?âÂ
âYes.âÂ
He dropped to his knees. âWHAT DID I DO WRONG?!â he wailed dramatically.Â
People were already starting. You pinched the bridge of your nose. âYou didnât do anything.âÂ
âThen why are you leavinâ me?!âÂ
âIâm going two streets over.âÂ
He sniffed loudly. âTwo streets is how kidnappings happen.âÂ
That night you shifted slightly and a solid green wall snapped into place behind you. You yelped and Bartolomeo bolted upright. âWHO TOUCHED YOU?!â he roared.Â
âNo one!âÂ
He blinked, then looked down. His arm was wrapped tightly around your waist.ââŠOh.âÂ
âYou put up a barrier because I rolled over.âÂ
He coughed. âReflex.âÂ
âYou trapped me.âÂ
âProtectively.âÂ
The next afternoon you crossed your arms. âYou follow me everywhere.âÂ
âI do not!âÂ
âYou cried when I went to the bathroom.âÂ
âI THOUGHT YOU FELL IN.âÂ
âIt was thirty seconds.âÂ
âLONGEST THIRTY SECONDS OF MY LIFE.âÂ
You stared at him and he stared back with puppy dog eyes and sweating. âYouâre clingy,â you said again.Â
He puffed up. âI am NOT clingy!â At that exact moment, he had both hands gripping your shoulders while leaning so close your noses nearly touched. You raised a brow. ââŠOkay maybe a little,â he muttered.Â
âHow little?âÂ
He collapsed forward dramatically, hugging you around the waist. âI JUST REALLY LIKE BEINâ NEAR YOU, OKAY?!â he shouted into your stomach. âThe worldâs scary and youâre awesome and I donât wanna miss a single second!â You softened and his grip tightened instantly. âI AINâT CLINGY,â he insisted, muffled. âIâm just emotionally invested.âÂ
âYou wonât even let me walk five steps ahead of you.âÂ
âTHATâS âCAUSE IF YOU TRIP I GOTTA CATCH YOU!âÂ
âIâve never tripped.âÂ
âYET.âÂ
You laughed and ran your fingers through his hair. He froze and then slowly melted into you like youâd just given him the greatest gift in the world. âYouâre not gonna leave, right?â he asked quietly, there was fear in his wordsÂ
You tilted his chin up, giving him a kiss. âIâm not going anywhere.âÂ
His grin returned instantly, wide and feral. âGOOD! âCAUSE IâD BUILD A BARRIER AROUND THE ENTIRE OCEAN IF I HAD TO!âÂ
âThatâs not how your fruit works.âÂ
âDONâT TEST ME.â He clung tighter, still absolutely attached and absolutely, hopelessly yours.
đ€đŠ©Doflamingo:
Dressrosa glittered at night. From the palace balcony, the lights below looked like scattered jewels. You leaned on the railing, breathing in the salt air, pretending you didnât feel the faint tug at your waist. You didnât have to look to know, a thread, thin as spider silk, and always attached. âYouâre doing it again,â you said calmly.Â
Behind you, that low laugh curled through the air. âDoing what?â Â
You turned slowly. Doflamingo sat on the edge of a marble table, long legs spread, pink coat spilling around him like spilled feathers. His sunglasses caught the moonlight, hiding his eyes but not the sharp curve of his smile. âThe leash,â you replied.Â
âItâs not a leash.â The string tightened, not enough to pull you, just enough to remind you it was there. âItâs reassurance.âÂ
Youâd learned something about him quickly. Doflamingo did not chase, he arranged. You hadnât been forced to stay in Dressrosa, but the ship youâd considered boarding had mysteriously lost its navigator. Then the crew that invited you to sail with them decided last minute that piracy wasnât for them. And next the apartment you rented in town? Paid off in full without you knowing. âYou manipulate everything,â you commented looking up at him.Â
He had leaned down then, close enough that you could feel the heat of him. âOf course I do.âÂ
And then, softer, âThat includes your safety.âÂ
Tonight, you decided to push the limits, whether it ended badly or not. You stepped forward and the thread pulled. You stepped again, and the pull was stronger. You didnât turn. âYou said I was free.âÂ
Slience filled the space and the string disappeared. The next second, he was behind you, his movement too smooth, too fast to follow. His hand slid around your waist, wrapping himself around you. âDonât confuse freedom,â he murmured against your ear, âwith distance.âÂ
Your pulse betrayed you. âYou donât like when I move away.âÂ
âI donât like when I canât reach you.â That was honest, dangerously honest coming from aman like Doflamingo.Â
Inside, the palace halls were empty. They always were when he wanted them to be. He guided you, and his hand never left you. It traveled from your waist to your wrist, thumb pressing against your pulse. Like he was counting. âYou think Iâm clingy,â he said suddenly.Â
âI think youâre possessive.âÂ
He laughed. âPossessive is when I donât let you leave.â His fingers flexed brishing against your fingers, Invisible strings brushed against your ankles, just enough for you to feel them. âClingy,â he continued, voice smooth as silk, âwould be following you everywhere.â The strings slid up your calves.Â
You swallowed. âAnd which one is this?â He leaned down, lips grazing just behind your ear. âThis,â he whispered, âis me being patient.âÂ
Later, when the world quieted and even the guards had been dismissed, you lay in his room, in his bed. You had rolled to the edge once, just to see. Within seconds, threads wound loosely around your wrist, not tight, not restraining, just present.Â
You stared at them in the dim light. âDoffy.â A hum. âYouâre doing it again.âÂ
âI know.âÂ
âYou said I was free.âÂ
âYou are.â The threads tightened a fraction, warm, almost gentle. âBut the world isnât.â Then, after a long moment, âAnd I donât share.âÂ
You turned to face him, for once, he wasnât smiling. Without the tilt of his head, without the exaggerated grin, he looked younger, more fragile, almost wary. âYou donât trust anyone,â you said softly.Â
âI trust you.â It wasnât sweet or soft; no it was a statement of fact. Â
You reached for his wrist. The threads around you vanished immediately. He didnât restrain you when you chose to touch him. âIâm still here,â you said. Â
His hand slid into your hair, fingers tangling gently at your scalp. âGood,â he murmured. Then, quieter, almost lost beneath the sound of distant waves, âStay that way.â Â
Doflamingo would never call it clingy. But when you woke in the middle of the night and found his arm wrapped tightly around you, threads loosely laced around your waist, not trapping you, just connecting you to him. You knew the truth, he didnât fear losing control of you. He feared losing you. And for a man like him? That was the most dangerous attachment of all.Â
đđ©Katakuri:
You had heard the rumors long before you ever stood by his side. That Sweet Commander Katakuri was untouchable, unshakable, and unmoved. So, when you laughed softly and told him, âYouâre kind of clingy, you know,â the silence that followed was dangerous.Â
âI am not clingy,â he said evenly, eyes fixed ahead. His voice was calm, âI simply ensure your safety.âÂ
âOh? So standing less than a foot away from me at all times is a safety measure?âÂ
âYes.â You hummed, unconvinced. Youâd wake up and find him already awake seated, arms crossed, observing you. If you left to walk around the kingdom, he was already waiting to accompany you. If you ever mentioned wanting a specific pastry, it would be waiting on the table an hour later.Â
âYou didnât have to get this,â you told him once, holding the perfectly crafted dessert.Â
âIt was nearby.â It was from an island three territories away.Â
Every time you moved through a crowded area, his hand would always find a spot to rest on you. If someone stepped too close? His hand would settle firmly at your waist, protective. âSee?â He would murmur. âNecessary.âÂ
You raised a brow. âNecessary?âÂ
âYes.âÂ
âYour hand is still there.âÂ
ââŠIt is.â And yet, he didnât move it.Â
One night, you decided to test him. You shifted away slightly while sitting beside him, just an inch and then another.Â
Silence.Â
Suddenly his large arm slid behind you, gently pulling you back against his side. You didnât comment and he didnât either, not right away. Five minutes passed before he spoke. âYou moved.âÂ
âI did.âÂ
âThe space was inefficient.âÂ
âInefficient?âÂ
âYes.â You tilted your head up at him, smiling softly. âKatakuri. Itâs okay to admit you like being close to me.â Â
His jaw tightened. His future sight flickered, heâd seen this conversation coming. Heâd tried to avoid it. âI do not require proximity,â he insisted.Â
As he spoke, his fingers tightened ever so slightly in your sleeve. You leaned in deliberately this time, resting your head against his chest, you could hear how his heartbeat stuttered. âYouâre holding me.âÂ
âTo stabilize you.âÂ
âIâm sitting.âÂ
âThe couch is uneven.â You laughed quietly. For a long moment, he said nothing. His arm remained firmly around you. His scarf shifted to cover you both this time. Finally, in a voice so low you almost missed it, âI prefer,â he admitted, âwhen you are within reach.â Your smile brightened, and you leaned up kissing him, which he happily returned. Â
After pulling away, you decided to tease him a little, âStill I would call it clingy.â Â
âIt is strategic.â You turned your face into his chest to hide your grin. And if, later that night, he refused to let you fall asleep anywhere but tucked securely against him, well. That was simply strategy too.Â
