so. very genuine question, I'm looking for someone else to skill trade with. knowledge or skills for knowledge or skills.
I was never taught how to clean. I know how to tidy, sure, but not actually clean. Like at my grown age of 27 I just figured out how to properly load my dishwasher, and that was with the help of an older friend. These were skills that were never taught to me as a kid and it's biting me in my ass now. My house can be tidy, but it's dirty because I just don't know how to properly take care of it. I don't know the proper or effective way to deep clean stuff. I don't know how to get rid of grit and grime, especially after it's been built up for a while (which it certainly is, because I never knew now to clean it). I'm at the point where I can't deal with it anymore and feel incredibly disgusted and disappointed in myself.
If this is something you feel like you can teach me, in return I can offer mixed media art advice and inspiration (from materials to styles, where to sell and what to sell at markets, how to use it for self expression etc), tutorials on userboxes, vent/liminal style digital edits, png creation, and blinkie making (I primarily use Picsart Premium but I can show you both with and without needing a subscription), I'm willing to do a physical trade for the skills as well - trading physical art, handmade pinback buttons, crochet goods, zines, digital edits/work, any of my self made wares that suit your fancy. I can also offer imovie video editing tutorials, as well as basic youtube content creation guidance as I did that for about 10 years. I'm just not in a place I can financially compensate unfortunately, or I'd already be hiring someone to teach me.
