Barry was in the library reading a book about jellyfish, his newest obsession, as he read he suddenly felt a feeling of dread.
"I feel like I'm missing something.." He set down the book and grabbed his bag, pulling out his notebook, he flipped the pages before getting to the one from this morning.
"Ok! Paint rocks with shin at 10:00 before class! Now what time is-" barry trailed off as soon as he looked at the time. It was 10:30. SHIT!
shin was holding a rock, waiting for barry. "Did he forget? I thought he wrote it down..I should go get him." Shin stood and began to walk to the door as barry bursted in. He and shin nearly collided but thankfully shin stopped as soon as he heard the door.
"There you are darling! I'm so so so sorry for forgetting I was meant to paint rocks with you I wrote it down but.." he trailed off, shin led barry to a table with various paints and rocks on it.
"Don't worry about it barry, your here now. That's all I care about." Shin smiled softly. "Really?" Barry mumbled. "Really." Shin repeated. "Let's just go paint rocks."
He sat down on a chair and grabbed brown paint, a painting pallete, a paint brush, paper towels, and water, dipping his paint brush in the water before dabbing paint onto the brush, barry followed, doing the same, but grabbing pink instead of brown.
"So! Back when I was in the library I was reading book on jellyfish, did you know a group of jellyfish is called a smack?" Barry beamed as he painted his rock
"Really?" Shin looked up, curiosity in his eyes. "That's awesome." He smiled.
"I know right!? Scientists have said it's most likely because of the pain you'd get from a jellyfish sting! Imagine being stung by a group of jellyfish.." barry mumbled.
Shin paused, than shuddered. "I have a high pain tolerance but the thought makes me shiver...would that be fatal?"
"Well, depending on the species, age, and the amount of coverage on the body it very well can be dear! Especially if your allergic to them!"
"Ow.." shin whispered. He set down his rock, now painted a nice brown, to dry and came closer to barry.
"Tell me more, please." "I shall honey!" Barry set down his bright pink rock. "A dead jellyfish can still sting due to still having venom in it's tentacles! So don't touch a dead jellyfish darling!"
Barry playfully slapped shins shoulder, prompting the other to giggle.
"No need to hit me! I wasn't planning on touching a jellyfish, let alone a dead one!" He shot a glare at barry, but there as no malice In it as he giggled.
"Just making sure darling! Wouldn't want you to be hurt!" Shin smiled. "Your really smart Barry."
Barry shrugged. "I wouldn't say smart I just have a lot of time on my hands and too many thoughts in my brain!" Barry grabbed his rock again, grabbing the yellow paint.
"That's still smart, your getting information about a lot of things" shin grabbed his rock as well. "Plus, you have your notebook, so you can write it down just incase." He mused.
"I guess your right, darling! I'll do it after this!" Barry beamed.
"I can get your notebook for-"

Barry and shin looked at eachother for a second before sprinting out of the room.
