Through a sally port and entryway, visitors gain access to the old parade ground and meadow nestled within this national park location. This is situated within Dry Tortugas National Park. In composing this image, I used the entry point as a portal view with a look beyond. One thing I did have to do was meter the image properly to not blow any highlights in the area caught in sunlight while still being able to pull the more shadowed areas nearby later in post-production.
Different Fates
The former Royal Irish Constabulary barracks in Mullinahone, County Tipperary dates from c.1850 and was variously occupied by that organisation, then the Black and Tans during the War of Independence before becoming the local Garda station.
