(So, as I’ve probably mentioned, I had my own idea for a TMNT incarnation. This is part of it, inspired by She-Ra.)
The lab was in ruins, once again. Draxum sat in the wreckage, curled up. He was alone. He peered up when he heard a noise from the doorway. His eyes narrowed. "Leave me be."
Mimic let out a low chuckle, form changing from Irma to their true chameleon form. They studied their nails as they spoke. "You know, I think I finally figured out your character." Draxum raised a brow. His stomach sank when they shifted again.
A perfect replica of himself smirked down at him. He scrambled to his hooves, ready to yell in outrage, only for a hand to grip his wrist and yank him forward. “You try so hard,” Mimic mused. “You want to believe so hard that you are a savior. You try so hard to prove yourself one. But your heart’s never been in it, has it?”
Mimic didn’t stop, though, slowly backing him up, his wrist still in their grasp. “People have hurt you, haven’t they?” Their form shifted to a new one.
The younger human form of Big Mama smirked up at him. “They didn’t believe in you.”
A new shift revealed Tang Shen, staring at him coldly. “They didn’t trust you.”
The next shift was like a punch to the gut. “They didn’t need you,” Lou said softly. He smiled up at him as he leaned into his palm. “Left you.”
“Stop it-” The order was shaky. Draxum yanked away, falling to his knees.
“Oh, even now. Let’s be honest with each other, Draxy. You don’t care about the world. You don’t even care about being called a savior. All you want is for people not to leave you. But have you ever considered that maybe they’re not the problem?”
The purple turtled sadly stared down at him. “It’s you. You drive them away, Baron.”
