Aw shit! Had a somewaht busy weekend and forgot to post this week’s #quiltsquare which is one of a trio from the western approach to Kagawong. . . Since this square features a combination of squares and triangles with 4 sets of 4 points it seemed appropriate for #QuiltrCode episode 16. . . Unfortunately, even after extensive research I wasn’t able to identify this #barnquilt with 100% accuracy. . . But discovered that it appears to be a variation of the Union Square quilt block. . . Itself one of many variations of the classic Ohio Star quilt square. . . I also found an alternative reference which identified this pattern as a #Honeymoon #quiltblock . . However, both Honeymoon and Union Square do not typically feature mirrored second triangles for the middle points. . . Seen here in the same light blue as the main centre square of the classic design. . .
