so in s4 they hint at stancy and im like. at this point either due to bad writing or the amount of time in between seasons im kind of over jancy. imo this is because they dont do anything with jancy in s4 and they kind of sideline jonathan after s2 which is super disappointing.
and i dont. i do not. ship stancy. ive kinda been ick on it since s1 and i was super happy ab her getting together with jonathan HOWEVER when they hint at stancy in s4 im like. okay i can see it. theyve been apart for a period of time and they have both grown tremendously as people.
HOWEVER. i do not want nancy to be whittled down into someones wife. (kind of my beef with kataang i dont like that in canon lowk katara is just. the avatars wife. like shes better than that and should be known for more than that. like yeah cool shes a world famous healer and the last bloodbender/last southern waterbender but also no matter what aang's legacy will always overshadow hers.) ideally it would be cool to see them be together in a way that nancy has the freedom to be the badass she was meant to be and for steve to be able to give her that freedom but his weird ass speech in s4 about having like 6 kids or whatever and saying he wants that with nancy is FUCKING INSANE

I feel people on the abigail front. Another character I struggle to like despite her being popular with WLW is Leah. Something about all her scenes feel very much written with a male character in mind then slapping on a female version, and I don't know why. I think it's cuz they echo common het tropes.
