This week I was trying to improve upon the set up of my circuit board. Although adding an extra DC source keeps the signal from stuttering for the most part it still requires a direct disconnection from the signal pin (2) that is connected to a temporary placeholder for the conductive print. I have some ideas on how to fix this issue, one of which involves reqiring the entire circuit as the hook up cables it currently has are only a temporary set up in the first place. I also plan on starting another circuit project, this time involving sound.

I started off the unit with researching the ways in which I could incorporate technology into my art practice in respect to my last year’s proposal. In the previous units I played around with LEDs, however I wanted to take things further than that, and possibly learn some new skills along the way. I have found about the company Bare Conductive, which makes circuit kits and conductive paint that can be used with electronics. I plan on creating prints and paintings using the paint and connecting them to the circuit in order to make interactive installations, where the functionality relies on the audiences to touch the work. This will allow me to combine visuals with lights, sounds etc.
