I finally able to go visit a city on my own (Surabaya is such a cool city to explore.. so many history especially during our our battle for independence)

Been living in this city for 11 years, and only recently we knew that there is an explorable forest located in the middle of the city!

I was having a bad driving anxiety before embarking this 300+ kms and 8hrs journey. But, the prospect of meeting the newly born of my cousin and for the first time, visiting my bother's home, I can't say no. The road was awful, very not suitable for a beginner with the hilly and snaky roads and the the fact that I had to battle with lots of 18 wheeler on the inclines! But it cures my anxiety tho.. although, in certain moments our lives flashes for several time. Worth it!

notice how hard i grip the steering wheel. I have cramps for 3 days because of this 😭

visiting the controversial the new country's capital, an hour from my city. The place still looked deserted mainly because it's still a work in progress although loads of the building are 90% complete. But it's still looked so void of life and intimidating. just look at this atrocity of our version of the white house. That bird is just facade. I call it the villain lair.
