Arley was found caught in a wire wheel (which has since been taken off the shelves at a local pet store). She has miraculously survived, despite the extent of her injuries. If you are using wire wheels, PLEASE remove them from your pet’s cage. They are not safe, and this is NOT the only reason why. Their little feet can get caught, they can get bumble foot, etc. There are just much better options. When looking for a wheel for your Syrian hamster, look for a solid plastic wheel.
