Ingredients: 3 ripe bananas, sliced. 2 cups whole milk. 1 cup granulated sugar. 1/3 cup all-purpose flour. 3 large egg yolks. 1 teaspoon vanilla extract. 1 cup heavy cream. 1/4 cup powdered sugar. 1 cup vanilla wafer cookies, crushed. Whipped cream and additional banana slices for garnish.
Instructions: In a saucepan, combine sugar, flour, and egg yolks. Whisk until smooth. Gradually whisk in milk and cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until thickened. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract. Allow to cool completely. In a separate bowl, whip heavy cream and powdered sugar until stiff peaks form.
