Bambi was always someone that had a lust for life and a deep-seated love for theater. Born and raised in New York City, when they weren't in school, they were lurking around Broadway, trying to catch a glimpse of a show rehearsing or trying to meet one of the performers. Bambi was always one for entertainment and had big hopes of being on stage one day. Unfortunately for them, that never happened.
 Bambi grew up in a tight-knit, primarily Mexican family. They were raised in an apartment with their three older brothers, mother, and grandmother. Right across the hall was their aunt and cousins. In fact, half the floor was home to Bambi’s family. And family was just as important as anything else; maybe more important. That’s how they were raised, anyway.
 When their abuela fell ill and had to spend many months in the hospital, the only reprieve Bambi saw her getting was from the kindest nurse Bambi had ever met. Most of the other hospital personnel were rude and burnt out, but not Coco. She was Dominican, spoke Spanish with Bambi’s family, and made sure Bambi’s abuela’s final days were comfortable and filled with love and understanding. It was Coco who made Bambi set her sights for a different kind of stage.
 Instead of the bright lights on of Broadway, Bambi had the bright lights inside a hospital where they worked as a nurse in the Emergency Department. While it wasn't what they dreamed of doing as a child, they found they exceptionally good at helping both doctors and patients in trying situations. Their caring nature and charismatic demeanor won almost everyone over except in certain situations. While they weren't in front of a huge crowd at a sold-out theater, they thrived on the applause that they got from their peers and patients when they'd do little performances just to lighten the heavy mood that can sometimes overtake a place like that.
 From a young age, Bambi always loved entertaining and any chance they got, they took to try and make someone smile. Bambi had always been the life of the party – even as a child and well into adulthood, it still rang true. They loved going out and unwinding at clubs and bars and still hit parties that they could while making sure they stayed out of trouble with the wrong people. As much as the wild nightlife of the city called to them like a Siren’s song, Bambi knew that New York was harsh. They’d spent their whole lives here, worked their asses off to get where they were going, and kept their head up high as much as others tried to knock them down.
 Now, with an apartment in Corona in Queens, no too far away from where they grew up, Bambi has their eyes set on the next prize: advancement in the hospital. They’re motivated, enjoy their job, and are always learning. Many of the other nurses look to them for inspiration or answers, and Bambi is often the mentor to nurses just starting on the floor. They know how to ask for what they want, it’s just a matter of finding the right time.
