Baltic Amber.
Amber comes from stoner resin taken from the ' Amber Fir Tree'
40 million years ago these trees grew on the middle and eastern shores of the Baltic Sea.
Many pieces of amber contain stunning natural inclusions - trapped insects, plant fragments, feathers or bubbles. Making each piece truly unique, and a window into prehistoric life.
The biggest piece of amber ever found was 68.20 kilos.
This lovely piece of baltic amber has been set into a modern ( Art Nouveau ) style silver cuff bangle.
