Chicken patties . Now we're talking. So when I eat out, I'd rather not waste my calories on vegetarian food. But the asparagus Samosas sounded interesting. That's why I was happy to see these chicken patties. For fried patties ,they were surprisingly light. Flavor full and with a slight tinge of fennel. Sitting on a little dab of a tangy , cream cheese based sauce,I liked them . And the vegetation on the plate...some roasted tomatoes, along with a multitude of microgreens... The half whole wheat batard In the afternoon light and in the early morning light. This is a 50% wholewheat Sourdough with overnight bulk fermentation in the refrigerator. So even before the morning coffee, the oven is turned on, dutch oven dumped in and preheated and then the batard is dusted ( today with corn meal), scored and popped in to bake. All this without the specs or the contact lenses.
