i just don't trust myself with hero design. get the fuck AWAY from the hoodie
it makes sense in this context I GUESS. im taking it back to the reflectors line, it's all about stealth here. the iron man suit itself will, i guess, turn invisible or something. (thinking about an open faceplate design as well, probably based on one of tony's previous iterations) (to be easily hidden under the hood. paired with invis?)
but harley's design also has to reflect that stealth. it's one am and I'm in a strange amount of pain so the best justification i can think of for the baggie clothes aesthetic is that the theme of hiding is a sly reference to harley dropping off of the face of the earth after his first appearance. where has harley been all this time? oh, hiding!
besides, harley's just some kid with a shitty home situation. he can't get his hands on the tech to make the suit. (full suit. right now, i don't think i want harley to have a complete one.) so, he's a dumpster diving thief.
and for the half suit idea. i've been toying with the idea of harley being more of a hands-on fighter. i doubt harley would think to use the blasters in every situation, because he has never been as reliant on tech as tony has. besides, i know what it's like growing up rough. if a kid like that wants to survive, he's gotta learn how to fight eventually. if i had to choose a single style for him to just default to, it'd be a mix of IRL button-mashing and amateur boxing.
god it sounds like i need to write an outro for this but im not gonna. im done
