Didn't he have some kind of disagreement at the baftas in 2009?
I’m sorry, Anon, but I’m unaware of David having any kind of disagreement with the BAFTAs when he presented the Special Award to Jane Tranter. David and Michael Sheen presented together (via Zoom) at the 2020 TV BAFTAs, so I’m assuming there’s no bad blood there (other than my own annoyance at them for the Des snub this year).

Classism and Jodie Comer
Having watched a great deal of Jodie Comer interviews in my time, it’s kinda obvious to me that Jodie DOES NOT LIKE INTERVIEWS. She has said previously that she feels ‘out of place’ appearing next to Sandra and Phoebe in panels due to their eloquence and academic levels of analysis.
Personally, I believe there is a link between this and Jodie’s absence from Twitter. Recently I have seen a great many posts calling Jodie ‘dumb’ and ‘clueless’ among other things. For those KE fans not from the UK, you may not be aware that regional accents (such as the Scouse accent, the Yorkshire accent etc) have long been associated with people of a lower class, and by connection with lack of education. I believe that this perception, perhaps subconsciously, is causing people to devalue Jodie’s opinions and arguments about her own character, Villanelle.
It is very possible that this, in turn, is affecting Jodie’s self-esteem and making her feel more awkward during interviews and suchlike.
I am not, of course, blaming Sandra or Phoebe for being the eloquent, intelligent women that they are. But I will never stand by and watch someone, anyone, face classist bullying. And that is what this is. Bullying.
