BAEKHYUN

Baekhyun's body moves on it's own, faster than light, when he hears a thud! and a sharp cry.

He's beside you in seconds, his eyes widening on your form slumped at the top of the stairs, clutching onto the railing. You're sweating and breathing heavily, clutching at your stomach.

He kneels beside you, frantic. "Thorn? Thorn, what's wrong?"

He places a hand on your arm and a shiver runs through your whole body from the cold skin. You recoil from him, wrapping your arms tighter around your body as you let out a groan of pain. He pulls his hand back, looking both shocked and hurt but you don't dwell on his face too much.

It hurts. 

It hurts!

"Baek..." You whisper weakly, feeling the pain getting worse with every contraction. There's water trickling down your leg and you can't move. You can hear Baekhyun yelling for Yixing, Junmyeon, anyone to help, but his voice is getting drowned out. All you can hear is your heavy breathing.

It feels like an eternity later before they come to help you, hoisting you onto your feet and into your room. Yixing works frantically to get ready to deliver the baby, and they also seem to have called other vampire doctors and nurses with experience in treating humans. You cry out in pain, gripping onto anything you can find.

"I'm here." Baekhyun's worried but soothing voice cuts through the chaotic sounds of your mind. His hand grips yours tightly, now less icy and more of a comfortable cool sensation. "I'm here, don't worry."

"You're doing great." Yixing reassures as unfamiliar doctors surround you.

They tell you to push, and dammit you're trying! Tears roll down your cheeks as you scream with every push, feeling like you're about to die.

"Baek." You gasp out, blinking through tears. You're going numb but still the doctors yell for you to push.

"You're doing great." Baekhyun presses a kiss to your sweaty temple, giving you courage for the next push.
