The gun didn’t waver. Kim’s gaze was fixed on Akira—a mixture of amusement and disdain passing across his eyes. He was here to take action, to do what his boss hadn’t dared yet. If it had fallen on him, he would have pressed the trigger the moment the other dared to open his mouth with some excuse or plea for mercy. But it wasn’t that simple. The moment he fired, he’d be proclaiming war on the Saio and proving the man right after his smear campaign against the Korean community. Kim didn’t want to drag his people into that, which was likely why Han hadn’t acted. This was a delicate situation, and time was running out. Bleach Japan was already terrorizing their people.

“This is the last time you underestimate me,” Kim warned, biting back venom. Unlike Han, there was nothing binding him to this man that required mercy. There only existed resentment—born from his boss’s inaction.

He shifted his weight slightly, adjusting the aim without a sound. His eyes stayed fixed on his target, tracing the way Akira’s shoulders tensed as droplets of water ran down his body. “You aren’t very smart if you think I’d go through all this just to kill you.” As tempting as that was, Kim’s goal wasn’t to end the man’s life. It was to protect his people and no longer suffer under the stigma manufactured around them after that interview.

He allowed Akira to exit the bathroom, following close behind with the barrel of his gun aimed steadily at him. A tilt of his head directed the other toward his wardrobe, silently giving him the chance to get dressed while Kim issued his demands.

“You will condemn Bleach Japan and label them as the terrorist group they’ve become. Reinforce police security in response to the growing hate aimed at the Korean community,” Kim explained, circling Akira like a predator. “You can frame it as a call for peaceful protest if you want to appease the public, so it doesn’t look like you’re backtracking.” The public was the least of their concerns; the Saio were the most prominent. “As for the Saio, we’ll make it seem as if the fires in Little Asia were caused by Bleach Japan’s ideology. Sell them the idea that your little group is getting out of control and that you’re only looking out for them.” In the end, whether they believed it or not mattered very little to Kim.

Wolfgang's hands were warmed from the start of his walk to the near the end. There was a neighborhood event, a holiday block party at one of the more wealthy residential homes. From tiny efficiency on the outskirts of town to ceiling-floor glass windows and a chandelier he could see from a hundred feet from the entrance. His bag—rested on the ground from being slung over his shoulder for hours—tipped over slightly with the weight of the box inside. Gratitude for being housed and aided weren't given to the extent he thought was appropriate, but it's not like money was plentiful. The ability to give Futaba a gift she would actually want cancelled out the need to give her something he thought she would like even more. His knuckled rapped on the door a few times, wondering if she had gone out to one of the many Christmas parties in the city. Having been invited to a few more of them through even light conversation, it wouldn't be surprising. He looked down briefly, jimmying the door to find it unlocked. His foot shuffled the bag inside, the layout quite extravagant—it was pleasantly warm too.

"You know, we could have come together," Wolfgang says to the woman standing off to the side, against the wall. He thinks it's the Christmas lights and general air of holiday bliss when she looks like the first fall of snow feels. There were a lot of people mingling, the smell of alcohol and blend of the largest dinner Wolfgang has ever seen, personally. Reaching down toward the bag, he unzips to pull out the box wrapped in cheap but festive paper with a large bow on top. He walks toward Futaba, not any less nervous than he would be if they were completely alone. "Not for nothing, if you hadn't helped me when I first got here, I'd probably be on death row by now," Wolfgang says lowly. He rubs the back of his neck, looking away to mask how red his face must be and spots a mistletoe directly above them.

    The moment she snatches the plush out of his grip, Kobato would continue to grin rather victoriously; after all, nothing pleased him more than knowing he somehow made his girl happy.

     “Nah, baby, I might have ulterior motives... but the only thing I’m gunning for is your heart~” he then croons, for if nothing else, he really only had romantic intentions on his mind when he sought to win a prize from the crane game. Why, Kobato wanted so desperately to have a girlfriend, he’d even go as far as to impress Fang. ...Though, upon hearing her say she would name it after him, his jaw would comically gape wide open.

He sure as shit didn't seem like the sorta guy who could take care of anything ( including himself ). Somehow, he HAD managed to keep his houseplants alive. He'd gotten them from Adelha, a woman who'd more or less adopted him as her younger brother ( weird, huh? ). She'd told him that these plants were easy-care. Nnoitra had forgotten what they were called, but it sure was true that they were easy-care. Otherwise they would've died in his "care". Nnoitra wasn't the sort of guy who cared about decor. He wasn't too concerned with how his surroundings looked. He had noticed that having something green in his home helped his mood. Seeing greenery just made him feel better. Especially during winter months. Man, he wished he could live somewhere it was green all-year around.

❝ My current livin' situation 's alright. I live in some apartment. ❞ He lived in an apartment FAR below the budget he could've afforded. Nnoitra actually had a really good income, and he had plenty of savings, because he wasn't a materialistic guy, meaning he never bought himself anything ( other than food ). The apartment he'd been living in together with Grimmjow had been far fancier than the place he currently called home. It was a small one-bedroom apartment, on the 4th floor in an apartment building. It was in the shady part of town, which meant the walk to work was pretty short ( around 10 minutes ). He had to admit he felt more at home in this part of town. It was where scum like him was supposed to live. It probably wasn't good for his paranoia though.

He had one neighbor, Tesla, who he got along with really nicely. The guy had given him food plenty of times, which was a sure way to win Nnoitra's approval. Tesla lived on the same floor as him. He couldn't say he liked the rest of his neighbors as much. The couple living on the floor above him were always arguing and screaming at each other, and Nnoitra had told them that if they didn't shut the fuck up, he was going to fucking kill them.

      her reaction amused her. not the initial shock, but what came a little after. it was hard to believe that she had considered going on the floor before that, but just as he expected, she wasn’t opposed to the idea, either. sangwoo chuckled, averting his eyes.

    she'd only been in japan for a few days — having settled comfortably into her hotel room and made herself somewhat familiar with area , but there was only so much she could do alone .

    it'd been a pre-emptive message to fang , as was her consistent posting about her trip — all things she did to make herself feel . . . safer . ( to be seen is to be known . ) so when the day came to finally hang out , she'd worn her prettiest , pinkest outfit in the hopes that it'd make it easier to distinguish herself to the person she'd been messaging .

    everything about her screamed ' look at me ! ' ; what with the polite little smile she wore and gave to anyone who she passed — but it's not long before she's lingering outside a row of cafes , anxiously scrolling through her phone . ( this was the right place , right ? that was what maps had said , at least . . . )

    though every now and then , she'd look up from her phone , scanning faces in the hopes she'd find the person she's meant to be meeting .

"Yeah, it's been..."  He squints, well she does appear familiar, but this memory was a little bit too faint for him now.  "Who were you again?"  In those cases Tsukishima would help a lot, he may even remember without any additional help.

“HA!” She laughs, remarkably unoffended by his clear lack of recognition.

Maybe if she was a little more sober, then she would be, but as it is, she’s reached the point in the night where everyone is her friend and she’s having a great time. Running into an old... well... enemy - there’s not really a better word for him - doesn’t really put a damper on that. He’d caused her quite a lot of trouble all those years ago, but she and hers won. No point holding a grudge.

He's currently sitting on the back of an ambulance having just been attended by a paramedic, he hadn't sustained any serious injuries other than a bruised hand. His eyes would drift to the flashing sirens of a police car which currently housed the two 'suspects' that he had the misfortune of dealing with. Well that wasn't an entirely accurate way to describe it. What had happened was that he had seen these two about to ambush the woman whom he was currently talking to, and without considering much else he had gotten to them before they got to her.

In truth it was a messy scrap, nothing like the boxing ring he was accustomed to. It was nice to fall back on his training from the service, and just raw aggression to knock those men out. Of course, he had some explaining to do but once everything was settled the truth came to light.

"I wouldn't worry about it, ma'm. Any decent person would've done the same." He'd shake his have dismissively at the thanks. Sitting in the back of the ambulance she could get a good look at him. Clearly a westerner, and American at that. His face held some notable scars, a horizontal one which ran cheek to cheek across his nose. A lighter more hairline scar which ran vertical under his eye to his jawline. Callous hands and a tough physique indicated he wasn't just any typical bum.

"Though if you really want to thank me, I could actually use a ride." He'd laugh his head tilting backwards as rumbling laugh left his throat. It wasn't loud, but it was deep. Like rolling thunder in the distance. It dies down as he looks at her with his own apologetic smile. "I'm gonna be late to my gym, and my coach won't be too happy if I'm any later. I'm… Hayden by the way."
