Ingredients: 2 slices of thick-cut bread. 2 tablespoons of butter. 2 slices of cheddar cheese. 2 slices of cooked bacon. 1 tablespoon of bourbon whiskey. 1/2 teaspoon of Dijon mustard. 1/2 teaspoon of brown sugar. Salt and pepper to taste.
Instructions: In a small bowl, mix together the bourbon, Dijon mustard, brown sugar, salt, and pepper to create a bourbon glaze. Spread one side of each bread slice with butter. Place a slice of cheddar cheese on the unbuttered side of one bread slice. Place the cooked bacon on top of the cheese. Drizzle the bourbon glaze over the bacon and cheese. Top with the second slice of cheddar cheese and the other bread slice, buttered side out. Heat a skillet over medium heat and add a bit of butter to prevent sticking. Carefully place the sandwich in the skillet and cook until the bread is golden brown and the cheese is melted, about 2-3 minutes per side. Remove from the skillet, let it cool for a minute, and slice it in half. Serve your delicious Bourbon Grilled Cheese and Bacon Sandwich hot.
