yk what while talking about lss7 bacon, i do find it very funny that he was telling zam how freeing & how much more fun things are when you just don't care bc he spent all season not caring when it was his lack of care that led to his teammates leaving him. or at least not Showing or expressing his care in a meaningful way.
bc his treatment of them certainly influenced things, even if pili and squiddo already had issues with each other, i js dont think bacon arguing w pili about the things he wants to do on the server and almost never bothering to reach out to squiddo to do stuff w him (similar to what he did to planet, funny) helped at all. even if him trying to be logical about pilis plans or him trying to be mindful not to put pressure on squiddo to login was his showing his care, it is hard to feel cared about when you are never told that you are. but bc of both who he is and who he has become as a result of all that he experienced during s6, openly caring in a way that others can understand as care is not smt that bacon rly does all that easily— esp when hes already decided its easier to not care at all
which im certain has absolutely nothing to do w wemmbu weaponizing his care for planet against him, or bfb weaponizing peoples care for spawn against them for their own aurafarming content, or subz who once cared So Much about ls as a whole becoming someone who hates the server and doesn't even care enough to even destroy it before leaving, or him having watched the hope drain from mapicc live as he was killed in the most anticlimactic nd content griefing way by bfb— a years worth of content down the drain bc he cared and the people he was fighting didnt.
okay i was typing all this up but tbh i dont really know how else to add onto this bc i already feel like this isnt all that cohesive but tldr i have fun analyzing the effects s6 had on bacon w all that he lost and how hollow his s7 was as a result of the change he went through and im mad af that hes trying to be nonchalant now bc although he took so many wins during s7, by far his best moment of the entire season was him finding out squiddo left him for apoc & killing her in a fit of anger bc he is at his best when he cares far too deeply To Me
