Hell yeah! Garden artichoke!!!
I didn't manage to get a single one last year and I didn't think I'd get any this year on account of it won't stop raining so everything's stunted and not producing or ripening except for my carrots and potted cukes. It's even raining right now as I took this pic. 😐

Me sitting outside to check on the sweet potato i planted last week knowing im not gonna get harvest for four months
I returned home after a week away, and this is my garden harvest. The slugs ate almost all of my strawberries, and I finally have a pumpkin! Only one, but it’s also so big compared to when I left.

Painting my porch…
A typical day's harvest at the moment. Our refrigerator has finally filled up enough with fresh veg that it was time to start putting some a
Pickles! etc.
Snapshot of the garden on August 1, 2026
It's the beginning of August, and the heat is truly setting in now, in norcal. My tomatoes are finally ripening with consistency, and my first-round cucumbers are finished. The black raspberries are coming to their end, but the blackberries are continuing onward at full steam.
I am ramping up my watering schedule and trying to stick to it, to help my garden get through the next two or so months where our average high for the days is 88℉/31℃. I also has a few more ollas to place out in the garden.
I think it's time to direct sow wax beans where I can. And I've got my next round of cucumbers sown inside, hopefully for some successful fall harvests.
