Tony doesn’t notice for the longest time because he genuinely assumes his kids like everyone. He assumes they all like each other. Tony can be a little dense about some things (he didn’t realize Rhodey and Tiberius Stone hated each other for 3 years) and his kids always try to put on a good face in front of him. Finally he clues in to the fact that they’ve Basically Adopted Bucky and he’s just like “…ok but…is he worthy though” because he has NO IDEA about Bucky’s big dumb crush and they barely interact with one another. So he starts hovering protectively and his kids are all like “GO AWAY, DAD!!!” but when he does go away they realize they have made A Critical Error. Tony is sulking about his kids not wanting to play with him anymore, Bucky is sulking because he doesn’t seem to ever see Tony anymore, and the kids are all sulking because THEY FORGOT WHY THEY ADOPTED BUCKY IN THE FIRST PLACE, DAMN IT! They wind up having to parent trap the two of them together. 

Please, everyone takes such joy in terrifying the big bad Winter Soldier by sneaking up on him as loudly and obviously as possible now. Bucky has a billion creeper shots and newspaper clippings of Tony holding a baby, Tony holding TWO babies, Tony literally being buried by toddlers, Tony in a ballpit, Tony at Disneyland…so on so forth. Nobody understands how he manages to fold and store all of them in his pockets???? Rhodey thinks he sees a photo sticking out of the barrel of one of Bucky’s guns?????? How???????????????????????Vision and Rhodey WANT to laugh, but Bucky has just like…the best photos. Photos of events they’ve never even SEEN. Is that Tony as a teenager letting a kid put lipstick on his face? How? When?? What??? Is that the original Harley and Tony potato gun scene????? HOW LONG HAS THE WINTER SOLDIER HAD A THING FOR TONY STARK??!?!?! They agree to guard Bucky during his mooning if it means they get access to some of these rare shots.
