Theres a certain point in reading comics where the arguments people make about Batman needing to protect his anonymity just really get ridiculous.
Why does BATMAN (read: Bruce Wayne) get to protect his anonymity when he's constantly and consistently reckless or actively abuses/weaponizes the identities others who DO need it?
Why does BATMAN have to protect his own anonymity so hard at the expense of others when he can, on a whim, just to decide to tell everyone what that identity is and it get randomly erased a reboot or two later even though his "operations" continued to work just fine with that information out there.
Why does BATMAN get this privilege held to such a high standard? Oh his son had an ooc moment where he let slip calling him father in front of Bruce's civilian girlfriend and instead of owning up to his own identity he makes up some bullshit about Damian being a ticking time bomb and calls it a day because protecting his identity is more important than standing with his kids.
