WAIT I’m stalking ur blog and on one of the posts you say you’re blocked so can’t see Alex’s posts? Why are you blocked I’m curious, I’ve been a bit behind in the fandom this year
I can’t remember the exact 2 sentences but I commented a mild as fuck critique on that bonkers ass post of him and Lisa in the pool, something like “wild caption to acknowledge the world is shit. You used to post meaningful things” and woke up unable to access his existence.
Spectrum Instrumentation, introduces its new flagship Arbitrary Waveform Generators (AWGs) with a maximum of 6 channels at multichannel AWGs
Spectrum Instrumentation introduces new multichannel AWGs designed for GHz-level signal generation, delivering high precision, faster data rates, and advanced flexibility for RF, radar, and high-speed communication testing.

MIT researchers designed a device that quickly recovers drinking water from an atmospheric water harvesting material. The system uses ultras
I've been writing here for awhile about atmospheric-water-generation - basically, getting water by pulling it out of the air. For the past few years, the main focus has been on the materials (e.g. MOFs) that pull water out of the air. That's been incredibly promising (and not just for water - but other gases as well, such as co2).
But there's another component: Once the material absorbs the water, it has to be released from the "sponge" material to be gathered. Traditionally, designs have relied on heat differences; either a single sun/day cycle or, more commonly, an embedded cooling element that allows for multiple cycles a day. As the material cools down, the water drips out. When it's done, the material warms back up and repeats the cycle.
This new device in the article builds on that last part - but instead of using heat differences to get the water out of the material, it uses ultrasound. The researchers say its 45x more efficient. I really hope that's the case.
Personally, I see AWG as a BIG next step for water sustainability. It would basically allow us to produce water anywhere we have electricity. That's a very big deal. It has applications from farming, to data centers, to everyday infrastructure (esp in developing or war-torn areas) and more. That said, while it may already be useful in niche applications, advances like these can help make them more generally economical, which is really needed before we see widespread deployment.
p.s. for those wondering, we have literal oceans of water in the atmosphere and tapping it for water is not believed to have any significant impact. (esp when compared to the current options.)
Like I can't express clearly enough that part of the reason I'm still alive today is that during my hardest school years I'd hide in the bathroom and read Doreen Green + Kamala Khan
Very important place in my heart, those two. And now I love pro wrestling too! But at the same time. I don't really wanna watch act'wres fkfkldlf
I’ve been out of the All Time Low loop for about ~5 years. No real reason, just started listening to other genres during the pandemic (a lot of lesbian pop lmaooo). Everyone’s Talking came up on my YT music new releases, and I’m obsessed. Simply obsessed. That and the Forever Sessions are two of their top albums for me.
Color me SHOCKED when I went to listen to Tell Me I’m Alive for the first time and I’m like… is this a breakup/divorce album???
Reader, I’m still not through with the album and I feel like I just keep getting knocked over with every song. What did I miss in 5 years LOL I have so much lore to catch up on apparently??
