I just returned home from staying with the boyfriend and AWA 2019. During the two days we were there, I ended up making a new friend; she's very sweet and we're cosplay buddies now. She helped me with my new Sailor Jupiter wig (accidentally left my first one at home... Whoops.), styling and all that. She loves AWA as much as me and my boyfriend do; she's been going since she was 14 I think she said since her folks do cosplay repairs at one section of the AWA venue. I've been going since 2017 with the boyfriend. My personal favorite parts of AWA are artist alley/dealer room, meeting other cosplayers, and the AWA ball. Our new tradition is that we go to Maggianos (an Italian restaurant) for dinner and we head to the venue for the AWA ball for dancing. It made us happy and it's what we'll stick to. I think it's extra special for me when I saw a proposal happen the 2017 AWA ball. I really hope there will be more to come soon. For now, I need to find a job. Wish me luck.
