I don't like it but it's true that plain language is easier to understand than poetry. I want someone to take the alphabet soup of my brain and pull the words I'm trying to say from it. But that's not real life. Most people do not see the world like Leonard Cohen and John Donne though I wish they did. Got to stop reading that stuff and learn how to spell.
And I want to be loved but not plainly!!! I had Plain!!! For much longer than I would have liked!!! And I don't like that!! Plain is empty, plain is lonely, plain listens to boring music, but plain is real life. Are they all like that?? I keep searching and reading for signals that they're not, but I am always always wrong. What did I learn in university!!!
Plain in my ass. And too much yelling plain words. Plainful and painful. If a man makes fun of the way you look in an argument you know he doesn't really know you any deeper than that!! At least yell something interesting for me to think about later! Ask to try on a guy's glasses and you will know if he really needs them!
Guys don't care about poetry and novels, as it turns out. Guys care only about advertisements. If I put myself on a billboard will you see the best of me???? Would it change a thing at all?? I have to stop reading men like poems and read them like waving flags. Carried with the wind, I suppose I am too. But today it feels like I'm stuck on the ground at attention ready to learn the anthem of a country I wasn't born in and will never reside in and they are not building any new apartment buildings and if they do I am only invited to the rooftop party as an afterthought. At least I can throw myself off!!
And why does it hurt to be in the presence of a good, benign thing? Why do I need to sign my name at the bottom of everything, make 17 copies of it, write up a year long lease (that can be extended) and handcuff it to the radiator?? Why do I take everything so seriously?
Why do I take everything so
