“ it was all a trap! this whole thing! god… i’m gonna kill ’em, i swear… ”
Getting trapped underground was certainly not something that was on Alisa’ to-do list. Especially not when it came to dealing with Cerberus. The rest of their comrades had managed to make it out, but she and River hadn’t made it before the rocks collapsed. Sure, they were in their enviro-suits, but that didn’t make the situation any easier. Not by a long shot.
“Should’ve expected as much from Cerberus,” she muttered, adjusting her breather to make sure it was on right. To say she was uncomfortable was an understatement; the adrenaline coursing through her veins from the run was the only thing keeping her from freaking out. There couldn’t be only one exit in this damn place; they would have had to have a secondary exit for scenarios like this.
Tapping a few things on her omni-tool, Alisa checked to see if a signal could get through. “Joker, can you hear me?” Silence, followed by something garbled, though it was just clear enough that she could make it out. “I need the best scan of the mine you can get me. Anything will do. I need a layout, something, anything for god’s sake.” Their crew seemed to get the message, although it now meant they were sitting ducks until they had something to work with.
