I’m bringing Moth Mother to the San Diego Comic Con! So be sure to visit me & @disasterina in booth 1633 in the independent press section next to Peanuts and across from Heavy Metal Magazine. Here is Moth Mother’s story: She sat next to a dead tree, looking like a child wearing a jeweled mask, playing with sticks and stones. But she is more powerful than that. And once you look into her pale green eyes, you sense the presence of an other-worldly being. A being so ancient you want to call her mother. You realize her mask is her face and its jewel is her third eye peering into your soul. What at first appears to be a stone in one hand, is actually a metallic sphere. She holds it high as it begins to tear open, spilling hundreds of shimmering seeds that scatter all over. Her other hand is not grasping sticks, but a light green plant, with branches covered in thorns and dark brown roots sparkling with the silver seeds. The tree next to her is not dead. It is awakening from a slumber that had shed its leaves to welcome this glittering pollination. And with her mind she casts a golden net unto the pale winter sky summoning rainbow moths to be by her side. Materials: Sunset moth wings, pyrite, smoky quartz gemstones, agate stones, manzanita branches, mini rose thorn branches with roots, porcelain doll, antique brass mask, custom created brass filigree. *There is a secret compartment containing secret treasures. #averoseart #mothmother #automaton #darkartsociety #fantasyartwork #creepydollart https://www.instagram.com/p/Bz6T9yljZI-/?igshid=dz5z2btvttgn
