Okay to be honest, in my opinion, I liked the movie. I really did. The concept is cool and I LOVED Varang. She was probably my favorite part of the movie. But it didn’t give the same feel as the other movies. It just didn’t, you know, draw me in or I didn’t really connect with it like the others. But it wasn’t bad at all. Just didn’t connect with me so it wasn’t as emotional or engaging to me like the others. But it was still really good 👍

My personal rubbish theory is that at one point in the franchise, Spider is going to join the bad guys and turn against the Sullys (especially Jake because of obvious reasons like being held down in a forest and told to stay still for slaughter). The current Spider would obviously never do that, but let’s say he’s brainwashed or reach a turning point in his personal story, I don’t know.
This theory is based on two points that are absolutely not enough to convince anyone so thank you if you read this anyway haha.
Spider is WAY too nice and pure. I personally feel like there is literally no real flaw to him except being goofy and having Daddy Issues. He feels exactly like a child in an anime, one destined to be traumatized into becoming a bad guy. That type of character generally makes for a future villain (except it’s usually reversed; the audience gets to see that in the past, the villain everyone knows was impossibly different, nicer, innocent… There we could actually get to see the evolution toward corruption which would be interesting, and would make for a fun plot twist.) As I said it’s not really convincing, if you’re still here you’re a really indulgent person
I can’t believe one of the most heteronormative franchise currently on market is really going to make a lasting romance out of an interspecies couple that can’t have kids and in which the woman is several meters taller than her boyfriend. I think the whole point of Spiri is to create a strong and meaningful relationship between two people who, paralleling their fathers, are ultimately fated to fight each other, so it’s even more emotional for the audience (Kylo Ren style). And I believe, in that case, that Spider will die.

Another thing I thought of about the Thanator Na'vi is that they blacken their teeth. Like a Thanator's teeth. They also practice teeth marking, after they perform their rite of passage they carve their teeth. Some carvings symbolize warrior statues and social identity.
They also perform scarification. Similar to the teeth ritual, some symbols show a warrior or other kind of social identity.
When a Thanator's teeth fall. They use the teeth and turn them into either jewelry or use the teeth to make small knives.
I honestly want to see Na'vi with a much darker skin complexion. I mean, hear me out on this. A clan with a darker skin complexion and they're good at hunting at night. Shit. Have them be nocturnal. Idk. I think that'd be neat.
