Like you know in Avatar 3 when pril is just born and then like Varang and Quarich show up to Neytiri and like Varang hurts her with her Kuru? And while Jake is in the water he hears her scream or pain when Varang does that with her Kuru and like immediately locks in because he doesn’t play about his wife? Like if you are willing and know this scene I was thinking what if it was daughter reader instead of Neytiri but like pril is still with Neytiri it’s just not her that gets hurt and because reader is his first born he does not play about his baby girl? If you could I was thinking like what happens before that scene and after to really set the scene and make it more lively? Like obviously he saves her yk? I feel that in a modern AU the situation or conflict related to Quaritch's paternity and care for Spider would be quite different of course cuz there's no pandora LMAO. I think he'd be the child of a divorce maybe because I don't really know how foster care works in the United States (I'm from Argentina). I'd also like to believe that he's (Quaritch) not the best father in the world obviously but… he's there LOL. My headcanons aren't in any particular chronological order but I imagine that before spending time with the Sullys (specifically with Loak and Kiri!!), he was more reserved. After spending years together as friends an very close to them I think Spider would drastically change how he perceives and understands himself ( like idk how he dresses, the energy he brings to the place where he is)

Quaritch, noticing this change might want to get closer to him but only encounters indifference but deep down though I feel that Spider wants his father to be more present for him or to join him in his hobbies (like surfing or other physical activities)

I really like his character, I think hes very important (btw i like the idea of him being a girl! genderbend or just in canon movies :3)
