Gotham wasn't her usual city but one of her sisters had needed to be relocated for some reason or another, she hadn't bothered to ask, and it had left Ava to cover the city for a couple of days. Kat and Konis could, after all, handle her load in New York for the time being.
It was a pretty cut-and-dry crime scene, at least for her. Maybe anyone else would have found it strange, but it wasn't her job to consider those possibilities. She had been ready to leave when she caught sight of him and her curiosity got the best of her. He had been the last thing she expected to run into at a murder scene. After all, his kind was...uncommon at best.
"Hey, kid, you know you're not invisible right? That skulking around a crime scene might make you look guilty as shit?" She didn't think he was involved, but it was still good enough advice. "Take it from someone that's been arrested for hanging around crime scenes. Not the best place for a not quite dead kid to be."
